truth !

tete7000:
With this certificate issue alone, I can't vote Buhari. There is no way a man who is not faithful in little thing like certificate can fight corruption. NEVER.
The annoying thing is: going by the mode in which he attained his accomplishments, he will not see a big deal in promoting people with mediocrity. Giving people (especially the northerners) appointments even when they are not qualified cannot be alien to him. People may argue how has a man with PhD fair with his qualification? That question however rather brings another twist to the drama. It raises another serious question: If a man with PhD seems to be struggling, what can we then expect a man without SSCE to perform?
I don't want to be taken away by argument that Buhari rose to become a General in Nigerian Army . The truth is that Hausa/Fulani controlled and dominated the military for long that getting to the top irrespective of your qualification or background as long as you are from their stock cannot be a problem. Example is what we see in Abacha. It is their attitude of not caring about qualifications that brought so much rot into the Nigerian Army and even Nigeria as a whole.
I personally went to school, studied hard, know my onions, have come to appreciate distinction and professionalism and believe how well read you are determines how you will perform in any given office. I refuse to give in to argument that a man with little education is better than one with higher education. If that argument holds water, the world can as well wipe out secondary and higher education while we all simply go to school to learn to read and write. What is the essence of people spending their resources and life time studying if it can be argued that such is not necessary.

SOUTHERNERS DONT KNOW D GAME ..TOO BAD

VellyG:
Even when abacha was ripping this nation apart he was still loved my the northerners and they were all ready to die for him. In as much as Buhari has a shady past they still give him their support bcoz he's a son of the soil. I weep for the southerners who has rejected their own . y'all will end up being d weeping dog if he eventually gets what he wants. We know all the trick. Its a drama

Politics › Re: Questions From Obj At The Mother Of All Meetings With Jonathan by millhouse: 10:36am On Jan 15, 2015
double twale for you baba

KwoiZabo:
Let me answer for GEJ

1. Question one is not relevant because whether he promised OBJ or any group of people o run for one term, he did not promise Nigerians except OBJ want to tell us that he is greater than 170 million Nigerians.

2. What does OBJ mean by question 2? He should tell us what GEJ told him. As far as i am concerned GEJ has handled BH in the most civil way possible. If the Army kills at random, they will be charged wit human right abuse and Nyako would have been right in his letter.

3. External reserve and SWF were shared among the governors, in fact that is the main quarrel btw Amaechi led Gov. forum and GEJ, and we can see what FG has done with theirs (Loko-oweto bridge, Lagos Ibadan road, 9 new Univs etc) ask your Governors what they do with theirs

4. The security companies owned by former militants is part of the Amnesty programme which Yar'adua started, the militancy in the ND degenerated during OBJ's tenure and what did he do about it?

5. Mr. OBJ question 5 is laughable. US would have arrested Kashamu when he was trafficking the drugs, why allow him till he became a political force in the SW before writing a letter. OBJ is also free to charge him to court but meanwhile Kashamu is a mobilizer for the SW PDP and OBJ can hug transformer.

The former head of state, who handed over power to the civilian government of Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999, stated that Nigeria is at a crossroads, unsure of which way to go.

“There is palpable desperation everywhere in the land; we are in a situation in which everyone is dissatisfied with what is going on, but nobody is sure of what to do, or what is going to happen next,” Abubakar stated

Politics › Nigeria's Journey To Eldorado: Are We There Yet? by millhouse(op): 8:45am On Jan 14, 2015
Yesterday as my family was getting ready for the monthly Igbo Anglican Church service in San Jose, California, my daughter wanted to know how long the drive will take. Kids don't like driving long distances. They always ask, "Are we there yet" after a few miles. Why? Because driving is boring when you just sit and stare. So, innovators designed products to keep kids busy on any long trip. But they still ask, "Are we there yet" because kids are ancient beings with little knowledge of time. Any boring period is eternity! And that brings me to Nigerians.

Nigerians love action! They love it more if it is dramatic or morbid. They don't care about lessons. They don't care if results were achieved. They don't even notice if it was just motion without movement, just like rocking your your baby to sleep. The civil war was action/drama, with Ojukwu and Gowon as main actors. Murtala Mohammed's regime was hailed for the dramatic firing of civil servants with immediate effect. Some civil servant heard of their dismissal over the radio as they were driving to work so they turned back home. How dramatic can that be! Nigerians love adrenalin rush at others expense!

No one noticed as Murtala Mohammed ruined Nigeria. When you remove top civil servants and replace them with low level officers, you have laid the foundation for failure. The hood does not make the monk, when you remove a Commissioner of police and promote a Chief Inspector of Police to the rank of a Commissioner, you have dug holes on institutional knowledge and performance. When Murtala died six months later, he was eulogized as action man. He got his name on our most important international airport and his face on our then highest currency note.
Nigerians have no sense of history so the subject was yanked off our curriculum. But Nigerians love drama. They love action. Like kids, any period of non-public drama is eternity and chants of "Are we there yet?" will rent the air.

The military understood and exploited this to the maximum. When Buhari showed up in 1984 as Head of State, the public drama was War Against Indiscipline, public execution of drug offenders using retroactive decrees, jailing of journalists whose truthful publications embarrassed the government, and jailing politicians, some for millennium years! The least form of public entertainment then was frog-jumping and flogging. Nigerians cheered them on! Action! Action! Action!

Nigerians love drama. When Obasanjo became president, the same military mentality showed up. Elections were do or die, some political opponents got missing, towns and villages were razed to the ground. He then set up the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to fight corruption, setting the stage for the best form of entertainment.

Using the concept of maximum impact, he went for big fishes - the Inspector General of Police, his own ministers, governors and other high-value government officials whose arrest will be entertaining enough. Houses and shops were pulled down without due process. Nigerians cheers on even when the worst cases of human right abuses were committed.
Under OBJ, Nigeria became one giant coliseum that would have made Roman Emperors jealous. At the end of it all, there was no railway, no modern airport, no good roads, no new university, no power supply, and not one high profile government official serving any jail term for corruption today.

President Jonathan is boring. He is so boring that after five years, some Nigerians think he has been president for six! You don't entertain Nigerians by revitalizing the railway. Making the journey from Lagos to Onitsha shorter by three hours does not make the journey entertaining. Leaving Enugu by 6:00AM and getting to Abuja before 12 noon does not remove the bile of boredom. Completing the federal prison at Nnewi, whose foundation was laid in 1982 by Shehu Shagari, has no entertainment value. Remodeling or renovating the airports cannot make a Nigerian to laugh.

President Jonathan has zero sense of humor. Instead of President Jonathan has zero sense of humor. Instead of publicly arresting the Accountant General of the Federation, he chose to use Integrated Payroll Services System (IPSS) to flush out federal ghost workers. How much insipid form of entertainment can he inflict on Nigerians. No, the worst form is saying that he will use technology to fight corruption. Very laughable. Haba! What kind of a joke is that? That means there would be no more public entertainment in the fight against corruption. As for the much touted Agric revolution, what is food when the government cannot entertain you with drama. Bia, Oga Jona, mind yourself!
When Nigerians shout for change, they are just like kids asking "Are we there yet?" They are asking to be entertained. They do not notice the journey of transformation because they are not being entertained. They want action even if no appreciable progress was made. They want the government to entertain them until their faces hurt. Unfortunately, Oga Jona is not an entertainer.

You have spoken well....two bottle of redwine for this .

Billyonaire:
Needless hype. How many copies were even produced. If you produce 100 copies and sell them out to your sympathizers who only ready the book to know the insults on other others, will we say the book sold out ? We can say the book sold, but not sold out, cos it wasnt even produced in the first place to meet need of his friends.

In his wanton busy-body mode, Obasanjo makes IBB and Abdulsalam look like saints. How can someone retire from Presidency over 8years ago and is not ready to stay off Aso Rock and mind his old age ?

IBB and Abdulsalam retired and they have allowed the new presidents to make their decisions and lead Nigeria, but Obasanjo doesnt know that he is actually psychologically sick, always thinking that Nigeria needs him.

Why not ask the Gods to make you 30yrs younger, Mr. Mathew Obasanjo so you can live for ever and mentor Nigeria ?

Such an egomaniac.
