The MDX and the 550 are NOT in the same class.... In every wise. There is really no basis for comparison.

depending on the year, the 550 could cost twice as much the MDX or more,so you need to know what exactly your priorities are.

wussup Bizzle. How has been your experience so far with the 550? how is the maintenance, fuel consumption like compared to the MDX? Is the ride as reliable as the MDX? what do you like and hate about the ride? Your opinion having owned both vehicles is highly valuable.

Looking at both vehicles but the business blood in me can't seem to justify shelling out the extra millions for the benz for the extra 100 horses. I doubt the benz can produce up to 400HP anyway given how terrible our petrol is. Or is there a way to get over this premium fuel requirement for both vehicles?

Almost settled for the E550 but its not an SUV. I need something with big tires and good ground clearance that can cope with our roads. Or is there a way to fit like 20 Inch rims on the E550 and also raise the height. I'm inclined to think the car will handle differently from how it was designed to if i do, that's if it is even possible.

On a case by case basis. For example, the 6.2L M156 in the C63 shares o2 sensors with the M272/M273 cars. I believe the M157 should share some accessories with the M276 and M278. Mercedes tends to make engines on generational architectures.

That said, some parts are obviously going to be bespoke. Fuel system parts, for example.

Exactly the issue, so where does one get such bespoke parts. I think those AMG cars are going to be very expensive to maintain especially in a clime like ours.

Please Ogas in the house since AMG engines are handbuilt, where does one service such engines here in Nigeria? Or even parts or are they just not that different from other engines?
