Exactly the issue, so where does one get such bespoke parts. I think those AMG cars are going to be very expensive to maintain especially in a clime like ours.

Of course. That's why I always recommend the 550 cars over the AMGs.

Hello house, I have a 2007 honda pilot and a 2009 honda accord. I intend to let go of the accord simply because I want a different brand. A friend is recommending 2008/2009 BMW 328i.
How reliable is this car and is it worth letting go of the accord for?

Very reliable if well maintained. Fun to drive unlike the Honda that lacks soul. Used the honda so speaking from experience. You may avoid the xi models cos their suspension parts don't come cheap

218k miles is way too high. Look for something under 150k.

Thanks a lot for the insight. Or should I go for the series 5 instead, any disadvantages?

Do you have any idea why VW cars come in with low to medium mileage. my experience; 2002 VW Jetta with 98500 miles
2008 VW Jetta 98k

Can you prove that they actually do, or you're just using two cars you saw as anecdotal evidence?

While you do all the buying.
Remember it will be reckless to spend so much money and energy buying your preferred or dream car, only to have it snatched or stolen without any clues as to how your car can be quickly and safely recovered.

GPS trackers are very cheap and 95% reliable in recovering your stolen asset.

Please which one will be your recommendation between Civil 07 (American spec) and Avensis 07 (Factory LHD), both used by same family in 9ja, auto trans and still very sound.

Civic better fuel economy good looking and easy to maintain.

Avensis bigger interior, the 2.4az may not be prone to oil burn, but cost of body parts.

I have always loved avensis because it's an affordable toyota and not a robbers magnet like other offering

Very close; the two seem to be ok, just to take any one, although Avensis seems to have more grand clearance. Thanks so much.

Avalon 11 has a very good luxury, rare vehicle and very reliable but avalon looks like a car to be chauffeured in.

Acura TL uses premium fuel, drives lovely on road, good looking but not cheap in maintenance

ES350, luxurious, reliable, good fuel economy of the lot but pure water car, too common abeg.

Avalon 09 is just like the 11 but good for personal driving but not too executive and image boosting as the 11 model

Take the 2011 Avalon.
It’ll be the most expensive to purchase though.

Happy Sunday gurus

I'm thinking of getting a car and I'm torn between getting the Avalon Limited 07-09 and the Acura TL 2009.

I have driven the Avalon 08 numerous times and it is very responsive, especially in Lagos traffic. But I've been seeing a lot of reviews on the Acural TL.

In terms of maintenance costs, reliability and driving experience, which is better please?

And if the Acura is more expensive to maintain, please can you compare examples of spare parts of the Avalon and the TL? This is so I can know if I can bear the extra maintenance expenses. Thank you.
