eph12: If that's how freeze interpreted that part then he's wrong. Well he's always wrong.
That verse explained that once you make a girl pregnant, you must marry her. It didn't say the marriage rite is in the making of her pregnant.
Unless LI claims they already did some sort of traditional wedding, there's no backing for her action in the scriptures. And no I'm not condemning her but freeze deceitfulness I don't understand the bolded |

anigold: marriage starts when a man n a woman received approval/consent from their parents that they intend to marry if that happened no problem.. but if that did not happened then Linda is just another bad example of a baby mama.. Linda ikeji is a horrible example to young girls. Having a protruding stomach before the official thing is not right. I disagree with you on parents consent. The only consent needed is between the man and the woman. |
Celebrities › Re: Daddy Freeze Defends Linda Ikeji's Pregnancy With Biblical Backings by millomaniac: 10:38am On May 26, 2018 |
alBHAGDADI: Your blindness and love for wrong things has enable tircksters like Freeze to deceive you and your kind easily. Look at the way he is convienently quoting the LAW to back Linda Ikeji and her wrong ways. That is the same LAW he is accusing Daddy GOs of using to deceive people to collect tithe from them. He is now using the same law to soothe himself cos it involves a friend of his, Linda Ikeji.
He even quoted a law of Moses in the old testament to back up his claims. We are no more under the law cos we have been bought from it with the Blood of Jesus. If the law required that a man can have sex with a woman he is betrothed to, such is now a sin in the age of grace which God gave us the moment Jesus Christ died and resurrected.
Romans 7:6
But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
If Freeze can conveniently quote a portion of the law when it soothes him, then he should also apply the below verse to himself as he is currently sleeping with another man's wife who is not yet divorced.
Leviticus 20:10
"'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.
Look at the way he cunning twisted the meaning of sexual immorality and called it harlotry. In his clever mind, all those that translated the Greek word to mean sexual immorality in all Bible translations are wrong, he is the only one right. And some freaks will believe him on this.
He even boldly claims Jesus Christ and his Disciples didn't change the Jewish marriage customs which is grounded in the LAW of Moses. If he said betrothed couples who are not yet married can have sex, then can he explain what the below verse is saying when it said ''to avoid sexual immorality, each man should have his own WIFE which means marriage, not get betrothed to have sex''?
1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
The JEWISH LAW might allow betrothed couples to have sex till they get married, but we Christians are not under such laws as explained by the above verse. We are not under Judaism. We are under the law of Christ. We are Christians. Imagine how useless ladies will become if they were still under the LAW. Once a man is tired of having sex with his betrothed lady, he will just dump her and move to get betrothed to another one. That means ladies will now be passed around pretty much like what we see today. But Jesus has freed us from such archaic ways by telling us to flee from sexual immorality. The Church doesn't practice betrothal. Neither has it ever preached sex between engaged couples. It only preaches sex in marriage and that those who are not married should flee sexual immorality which is clearly premarital sex, while married couples should flee from adultery.
Hebrew 13:14
4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;
Notice how the below verse advises marriage before one can have sex if he or she cannot exercise control.
1 Corinthians 7:8-9 To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. I think the misunderstanding or debate is on the meaning of marriage. To you marriage is when the couple tie the knot in a church or some other official ceremony. To freeze marriage has already happened when the woman or the man are intimately involved and dedicated to each other with genuine intentions to make it official. All the verses you quoted are all saying same thing. |

Politics › Re: EFCC Begins Probe Of Suspects In Obasanjo’s $16bn Electricity Deal by millomaniac: 9:18am On May 26, 2018 |
maximunimpact: Following representations made by some civil society groups, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has set machinery in motion to probe the controversy surrounding the $16 billion allegedly spent on power projects during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The anti-graft agency may invite two ex-ministers, former top officials of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), present and past officials of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company and all the people recommended for investigation by a committee of the House of Representatives.
A team in EFCC was already collating facts and figures at press time yesterday.
But a top source, who spoke in confidence, said the move was not targeted at ex-President Obasanjo.
According to findings by our correspondent, the EFCC might conduct a forensic and comprehensive investigation into the alleged $16 billion power projects.
The scope of the investigation includes the total cost of the projects, how much was withdrawn from the Excess Crude Account (ECA), the total number of contracts awarded, the extent of compliance with due process and the status of the execution of all the projects.
A top source, who spoke in confidence yesterday, said: “We are looking into all the allegations and issues surrounding the power projects.
“We will conduct a comprehensive and forensic probe to ascertain the true status of all the projects.
“This investigation will actually ascertain how much has been spent so far.
“We have many figures being bandied about as follows: $16 billion, $13.278 billion, $10.3 billion, $8.4 billion and $8.55 billion.
“This is not an investigation aimed at ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo or anybody. We have to step in to set the records straight.
“Already, a team is collating facts and figures on these projects as part of the preliminary level/ bend of the investigation.”
Responding to a question, the source added: “We will retrieve the report of the House of Representatives Committee which investigated the power projects.
“The House actually recommended 18 top former public officers, including two ex-ministers, for investigation by anti-graft agencies, especially EFCC and ICPC.
“Many salient issues were raised for investigation by the House
Committee, which was headed by Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.”
The issues raised by the Elumelu Committee were as follows:
All NIPP payments were made without following due process
No meaningful progress was made in the execution of power contracts
Officials rushed to pay contractors in full even before engineering design for the projects have been completed and approved
NIPP contracts were not only overpriced in comparison with PHCN contracts, they were also wide off the mark
Widespread evidence of systematic over-scoping of projects in order to inflate costs both in PHCN and NIPP
NIPP Distribution EPC contracts were awarded at costs averaging about 10 times the norm when compared to PHCN contracts.
The Ndudi Elumelu Committee was put in place by the House on January 31, 2008 to look into how much was spent on power projects.
In its report, the committee said that about $13.278 billion was spent on power projects between 1999 and 2007.
The committee recommended termination of 13 contracts and review of 10 projects.
About 15 contracting and consulting companies were asked to be investigated by the appropriate agencies.

courage2702: I need practical help to overcome my struggle against the use of prostitutes. I picked up this terrible habit shortly after my graduation from university sometime in 2012 and it is a vice that has wrecked my life. The last success was 13 months without any sexual involvement with any one before i had a sad event in my life that made me go back to my vommit. Any body with practical advice should please come up with it.. yesterday I went down on my knees again to ask him to give me another chance to fix my life for good. But I really need to take practical actions as faith without work is dead I have an amazing future but this lifestyle may cut it off if don't fight it headlong.
I am 30+ old man that really wish to settle down but not until I quit this habit that has disconnected me from God as well as made my life miserable. I am from a Christian background. You have taken the first and most important step which is determining in your heart to stop. The next step is getting a decent girl to date. Not only will she take your mind off prostitutes it will allow you guys get to know each other. So that when The time is right for marriage you won't just pick a random woman and later regret. The fact that you are not financially buoyant should not discourage you infact any woman that accepts you now is a good sign she genuinely loves you. Finally go close to God. |
