hello mimido2, if i understand you right, you are saying you were attack when you went for your screening, and the place where this attack took place was outside the school right?. If so, then that should tell you hw unsafe it is off k compares to the school hostel.
We do hear of different incidents and terrible experience from those staying off k, and i must tell you it will only take the grace of God that you dont face one security issues or the other when you are staying off k.
So my point is, in terms of security, the school hostel, is far better.
So if you dont prefer to stay in the school hostel, security shouldnt be the reason. Although your things can easily go missing because people might borrow them and might not return them.

may be.......infact no where is safe at all.
Even if my dad will allow me to stay in d hostel I won't agree......I can't share a room with two or three girls
