All students (including predegree) who are expecting to get admission must upload their o level to JAMB (CAPS) before the deadline or forget about getting admission.

Good evening Sir.

My bro's name was in the Basic Admission List into Year 1. But the Batch 2 Admission list just released doesn't have his name. I just uploaded his O'level Yesterday (10th Oct) . Please what do u think is the cause?

Cos the list have names of students admitted from Basic

I kina don't like those basic student, Dem just day chop space in admission list!.....Imagine Someone With 181 Gets medicine while someone with 270 did'nt even smell any admission list, All because the one with 181 is a basic student!.....So if i see those basic student here, Na me and them!

If one scores 180, being Uniport JAMB cutoff mark, and performs very well in his basic programme, he's sure to get medicine. Getting admission into uniport through Basic program doesn't really depend on the jamb score (as far as its 180) but ones performance in basic.

One could get 180 in Jamb, but happen to be the highest in Basic... He's sure to get medicine.

It could be that the guy who got the medicine with a 181 Jamb score may have performed very well in basic. He could have been among the topfforin Basic Studies Medicine.

Concerning slot for uniport medicine admission, UTME students gets the higher percentage.

Indeed HE is. I have a similar story. 4 admission letters, Remedial prog, a B.Sc in Economics, post graduate Interior Design, NYSC.... 8 years later I made it. I just got admitted into MBBS University of Abuja. Looking forward to seeing you around. Thanks for sharing as I was feeling ancient before. I believe everyone's journey is unique...we might take some detours but we are on our way. What matters is that we get there.

To all my fellow students, aspirants & doctors: We start this journey not on our first day in class but the day we made up our mind to be doctors. Let's never forget WHY. Every decision & circumstance has been shaping us to be the best version of what humanity needs. Here's to keeping the HOPE alive.

Don't listen when they tell you to give up or you can't. I'm a living testimony of that. After 8 years I dusted my science books and crash studied in just 1 month & scored JAMB like never before! Not in any of my 3 tries. The only voice that determines your success is yours. Tell yourself that you can do it & you CAN! Mostly PRAY hard cos ONLY GOD can do it for you.

Thank you for reading. Hope my words will lift someone's spirit.
When I read your story and Tonye's, I just couldn't hold back myself from commenting. Both of you really tried o. You went through all that and came back for Medicine..LOL. I got it after staying @ home for 4 yrs. I'll say Twas due to misplaced priorities.
After taking waec exam, I enrolled for a ND program. Did pre-degree in OAU - I wanted Dentistry though, but got physiotherapy/Medical Rehabilitation. I didn't accept the admission cos I wanted a course/profession that will allow me to dissect and work on human organs. Then I enrolled for the Basic Program in Uniport am glad I made - there were challenges though. Now M resuming January.
Seriously, when I look back at all I've gone through for MBBS, I see nothing but a bright future for me. Saving lives is my calling - I've been hearing scary stories though.
I've been following this thread since I was in Secondary school, but I didn't had the courage to comment cos I wasnt in the league then.

Hmmmm...#If the FG is really serious about this, it will be nice if it start in 2017. I guess some schools have taken their P.Ume already and its too late for 2016 set. Beside, I don't think scrapping Post Ume is the best option now.

You don't have to panic...just relax.
The thing is your determination should be your foremost advisor. Tell me can you do cooking all of a sudden without being tutored and grounded in it? Except it's gift ...you won't receive exams without lectures, your exams won't go beyond what you're expected to know.
just be sure to note that inside you is something greater than an obstacle...that's what you should work on. Success!
Thanks sir..am very grateful. Will do my best
