Putindbutt: How many professions are being heavily subsidized as the doctors?. Greed.. Greedier... Greediest Why didn't you become one? Why is Tinubu not even believing in the capacity of the medical doctors in Nigeria, who have been heavily subsidized but prefer going abroad for his medical needs? Who is the greedy one? |

MoneyMan5: Go and become house of representative if you want the payment. You think you can become an house of rep member in Nigeria without serious investments? As much as I hate these politicians collecting humongous money and embezzling money, the money they spend on campaign and before they get to that position is also not small. You must already be very rich before you can fight for an high position in Nigeria politics.
If you want to be like politicians maybe you should go and face politics as a career not being a greedy doctor. I guess becoming a medical doctor, does not involve resources. |

DeepSight: Sad.
But for those saying Nigeria Nigeria Nigeria.
Just know that medical malpractice and negligence lawyers make millions abroad as well.
Go figure. Medical negligence is global but in Nigeria, there is little or no consequence for the Medical facility and the healthcare practitioners involved in the negligence, they continue to operate as if nothing happened. 😡 1 Like |

nairalanda1: LOL(sorry, had to laugh), dunno. I've abandoned sphagetti for years, and one won't find tesco sphagetti here (Though I have seen ASDA sphagetti on sale at an upscale supermarket once). It is sold online in Nigeria.

nairalanda1: Thanks for the clarification, though I think that's store branded Tesco sphagetti...not the branded ones like say Barilla? Is Dangote or Fllour Mill's spaghetti, of higher quality than Tesco's? |

nairalanda1: I'm not excusing bad government in Nigeria, but a lot of UKians complain a lot about high costs of living. Also, difficulty in meeting payments, and even having enough for basic needs is a problem there.
What we do in Nigeria is that we think that someone with N50 pounds a week to spend is enjoing...from a nigerian view. From a UK view, that's a lot of money.
This is not a good example, but you can get pasta at N500 in Nigeria, in the UK? Three times the cost. And so on.
All in all, Nigeria needs to change the basis of our economy to enjoy improved life. Relying on oil is not going to make life better. I live and work in London, I earn well in the civil service but prefer using minimum wage earners for comparison. A pack of 500g Spaghetti from Tesco is £0.28, a minimum wage earner who earns a net pay of about £10 per hour, can buy about 35 packs of that spaghetti with an hour's earning....what can you say for the Nigerian minimum wage earner? |
Travel › Re: Nigeria Lady In UK Shows How Much She Earns Daily As A Bricklayer(photos, video) by Mindlog: 10:24am On Jan 12 |
nairalanda1: Haha, no.
As an example, if you have a TV in your house, in Nigeria, you pay nothing to the government, in the UK, you pay a TV Licence. Also, you can spend as much as 30 pounds monthly for power supply for a one room house..that's 60000 naira. Then there is council tax, etc. And at the end of the month, a minimum wage earner in the UK still live more comfortably than a minimum wage earner in Nigeria.....That should be the focus. |

Failed parenting.
There are many things wrong in that video.
The mother is clearly afraid of him, the boy weilds power.
So wrong recording and uploading the son's burst of emotional dysregulatiion. The parents are certainly not on the same page regarding such behaviour thus his "boldness".
That boy is very likely to struggle to regulate himself as he grows older if this behaviour is not curbed but like they say, we will meet in the front. |
