Kalatium:Posted by Svein Sellanraa Liberal Christian is Someone who accepts (or claims to accept) at least some of the basic truths of Christianity, but who does not regard these truths as the most important truths in the world. In other words, a liberal Christian is someone who accepts (or claims to accept) at least some propositions that are essential to Christianity, but whose basic worldview is not Christian. The liberal Christian puts something other than Christianity first, and Christianity second—at best. |
The premise that follows God's ability to heal is that he can and will heal all sicknesses. So if that's the case, why doesn't God heal all diseases or at least not in the abruptness and methodology that we would want Him to? I have experienced God's healing in miraculous ways myself and firmly believe that it is within God's infinite capacity to heal all and any diseases. But there have also been instances that God did not bring the healing that I had prayed for. I lost my mother to cancer at an early age, my grandmother to a hospital accident, a grandfather to pneumonia and another to stroke. As part of ministry, I have visited many people in hospitals and have lost them no matter how hard we pray. So why doesn't God remove all pain and sickness? God Allows Pain and Sickness for a Reason God is not the origin of pain and sickness. Our sin and brokenness are. But in God's great sovereignty He still finds a way to make all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28). I'm not saying that we shouldn't pray for God's healing. We can and should do so. But the greatest desire we should have is God's sovereign will. We might not always understand it, but we will eventually, either in this life or in the next. God Wants to But We Refuse to Let Go of What Causes It Sometimes God has all the intent to heal us, but it is us who do not desire healing. How does that look like? Imagine someone who wants to be rid of a lung disease but does not quit smoking, or someone who wants healing from a cholesterol problem but does not watch his diet. Yes, God is a God of miraculous healing, but He is also a God of wisdom and stewardship. We have our own part to play in experiencing the fullness of God. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says, "For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." The Sickness and Pain of This World Magnifies the Glory of Life Eternal One of the most beautiful reminders I have had every time I catch a flu, get a migraine or become too exhausted to work is that in heaven all this will just be a distant memory. Sickness magnifies not just the depravity of this world but also the beauty of our destination and destiny in life eternal with Christ. We don't always get healed here on earth, but in heaven we will be. There will no longer be any sickness, pain, worry, fear or doubt in the full presence of God. That is the ultimate wholeness that we so often long for and it will be ours soon. http://owerrianglican..com.ng/2016/12/why-god-doesnt-remove-all-pains.html?m=1 |
Here are the 20 Things the Blood of Christ Does 1. It remits sins (Matt. 26:28). 2. It gives life to those who consume it (John 6:53). 3. It causes us to dwell in Christ and He in us (John 6:56). 4. It is the means by which Jesus purchased the church (Acts 20:28). 5. It is the means by which Jesus becomes our atonement through faith (Rom. 3:25). 6. It justifies us and saves us from wrath (Rom. 5:9). 7. It redeems us (Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Rev. 5:9). 8. It brings those who were far away from God near to Him (Eph. 2:13). 9. It grants us the forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:14). 10. It brings peace and reconciliation to God (Col. 1:20). 11. It has obtained eternal redemption for us (Heb. 9:12). 12. It cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God (Heb. 9:14). 13. It is the means by which we enter the most holy place with boldness (Heb. 10:19). 14. It speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Heb. 12:24, NIV). 15. It sanctifies us (Heb. 13:12). 16. It makes us complete for every good work (Heb. 13:20-21, NKJV). 17. It cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). 18. It bears witness in the earth along with the Spirit and the water (1 John 5:8, KJV). 19. It is the means by which Jesus washes us (Rev. 1:5; 7:14). 20. It is the means by which we overcome the accuser of the brethren (Rev. 12:11). Summary: Thank God for the “precious” blood of Christ . . . the “sprinkled” blood of Christ . . . the blood of “the new covenant” . . . the blood of “the eternal covenant” (1 Pet. 1:19; Heb. 12:24; Luke 22:20; Heb. 13:20). “The life is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). peacesamuel94:Lol, but they are not ghosts... They are in our society too and maybe getting converts |
KingEbukasBlog:They are increasing... or becoming bold now via social media. U see them everywhere on this thread and religion section... Compared to 5 years ago |
TheArchangel:[NIV] Hebrews 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption. Christ cleanses us from all sin and guarantee our eternity in paradise. |
Haroun13:1. When NCC increased data price, we accused buhari not NCC... When Adeshina did well in agriculture sector we praised gej not necessarily Adeshina.. .. So when disciples says something, we regard it as Jesus's words in absent because He commissioned them to so speak. 2. Good works are necessary but in christendom, it is not by works lest any man boast.. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. |
Omudia11:When you present superior arguments, they run away with filmsy excuse. Farewell. |
jonbellion:You will not be condemn if, when you receive grace, confessed your blasphemy. You will reign with ur creator In paradise for ever |
Haroun13:[KJV] 1 John 1:7... and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Yes, all sins confessed. We do good deeds and make mistakes, so when we do these mistakes {sin} we ask God for mercy and the blood of Jesus speaks or plead on our behalf and we are forgiven |
Omudia11:The son of man is the one on earth and as at then, he has now washed away sins. but now that he has died, resurrected and seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us.. ... Christ Jesus has used his blood to forgive all sins. If you still believe that a sin cannot be forgiven, then you are saying Christ blood is useless. .. [KJV] 1 John 1:7... and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. |

10 Reasons Why Atheism is on the rise Gradually, we are in an era when many Nigerians are becoming atheists. (Atheism is the state of not believing there is a God Jehovah who created all things). Some youths are coming out boldly to say they are atheists while many others are atheists but still attending church to pretend to belong. I have been wondering, what will make someone who has been going to church to suddenly stop and start kicking against the chief Corner Stone. Even some are saying they are liberal, ashamed to say they are Christians. From liberality to Atheism is just a very thin line. I drew the following conclusions with reasons. A Christian becomes an atheist for any one or more of the following reasons. 1. They were not serious Christians in the first place, that is, they were not born again or even semi born again. As a result, they fell by the way side because of little distraction by other atheists. But it's unfortunate, those who are neither hot or cold will be cast out. 2. They were not reading their Bible, except on Sundays and in brief moment only. When you are not grounded in your beliefs, you gradually slide away. 3. Some have read a little of the Bible and seeing "contradictions" they concluded that the Bible is not inspired by any God. But they are wrong, if you have not read and STUDY the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible will remain confusing to you and you become an atheist. 4. Some have been praying over an issue for years and because there is delay, they lose heart and conclude there is no God to answer prayers. But they are wrong because they didn't know that Patience is a great virtue in Christian living. 5. Some have become atheists because of constantly feeding their soul with wrong messages like these superficial oratory every where. These modern messages talk only about enjoyment in Christ. So, when little temptation or trials come (they must come) these people faint in times of trouble and become atheists. It is unfortunate, that is why we must continue to insist on the right message by openly condemning the unscriptural sermons around us. 6. Some are looking for proofs because they said scientists have said so and so but because they have not study the Bible with open hearts, they choose science over facts. The Bible has enough proofs to the discerning. 7. Some become atheist because they said... If there is God, why does He allow evil, suffering, etc. But this has to do with understanding the makers manual. He created everything and design it as such for a purpose. We should respect His template and be guided accordingly. Unfortunately, due to lack of understanding, some are now atheists because of this. 8. Some are atheists today because of flamboyant preachers. They do not see the little they know about Christ in these super demi gods called GOs and Bishops. Yes, we are in a sorry state of greediness and fake prophets but if these turning atheists have read the Bible, they will understand that God have said it that fake pastors will be many. And they have been there since the days of moses. 9. They continually feel empty inside even though they attend church, in choir, in one wing or the other. But emptiness rule their soul. As a result, they give up on God for not coming close to them. Unfortunately, they are wrong. 'Rend your hearts and not your garments' but those who feel emptiness have rend their garments only. Becoming an atheist on this ground is their fault. 10. Add yours. I hope those who are atheists can have a rethink and retrace their steps. Also, those who are claiming Liberals to fit in.... watch it, you are on your way down to infamy. If you are a Christian, BE PROUD and you can only be proud when you begin to study hard the 66 books that gives life meaning. Uzuegbu ifeanyi. |
