My opposition to Peter Obi's presidency is not because I dislike or disagree with him politically, but because it is clear that he will not win the 2023 elections and his sustained grandstanding a disadvantage to South East.

I went after him so hard and highlighted his many flaws as Anambra Governor because he let bad-behaving followers obscure his desire, portraying him as a violent candidate.

His fans are antithetical to what Peter Obi stands for. uncouth, bad-mannered, and mentally impaired.

My main objection to Obi's ambition is that our politics is still insufficiently evolved for a candidate like him to win the presidency. To be president, you must have support from all regions. Those who argue the contrary are scumbags who haven't made the effort to learn about Nigeria's kind of politics or those who loathe the Igbos and pretend to be for us.

Nigerians have a voting pattern, and no matter what’s said, that pattern will always be maintained, at least in the interim. We operate a representative democracy where the stakeholders make the most decisions. Power is obtained through elite conspiracy, not through loud demonstrations without support from the elites.

With the manner in which the 2023 election is going, the Igbos will lose badly because, like 2015, we are taking the lead again, while other regions have their eggs in more than one basket.

They have made Peter Obi an Igbo candidate and sent out their representatives to both the APC and PDP. On the day of the election will come the greatest betrayal. No state in the North Central, West and East will give Peter Obi and Labour Party the 25% spread. Instead, votes will be split between APC and PDP; the South West will do their agenda without a spread for Peter Obi and Labour Party; and the South South will vote on their own and still give APC the spread. Peter Obi and the Labour Party will not win a single state in the zones and regions. But in the South East, they will gladly support us to waste our votes on our own, so they will mock us during power sharing and abandon us to another round of secession.

Elections are not won by emotions.
When the chips are down, the factors of the election will come into play and everyone will return home to their ethnic and regional interests; decisions will be taken and effected at the polls. In the end, politics is about personal interest.

Obi will not win any state in the South West or South South, but he will damage votes throughout the South East and shortchange us from another round of power rotations, as we collectively did in 2015.

Even Peter Obi is aware that he won’t win any election, but he is massaging his ego and pushing his vendetta against his old friends in the PDP, whom he thinks are responsible for his political misfortune.
I understand the desperation of those who want to use the Labour Party to get back into power and get into assemblies at all cost. They can tell many lies just to be elected, but those who should know better but have decided to stay mute are the ones I’m more worried about their mendaciousness as regards the disadvantaged bandwagon effects designed to drown Ndi Igbo, which is the Labour Party.

Elections in Nigeria are based on ethnic and regional interests. Peter Obi alone cannot change the tendency, at least not in 2023.
We will always say the truth, even when we know it's an opharn.
