ravensckar: I once lived in an apartment where the landlord said 'No generator'. Funny enough, he didn't inform me before-hand. It was after I packed in and was unloading, he saw my generator and told me about the rule.
I calmly told him that I've heard and will abide. That rule prompted me to construct an iron cage for my generator. Any time it's hot, I'll just turn on my generator, enter my house and turn the music so loud that ain't gonna hear sh1t. He shouted, cussed and threatened fire & brimstone. For where? His children too threatened but I stood my ground.
Once he brought Policemen and we went to the station, nothing happened. Even he too knew nothing would come out of it when the Police people too turned on their gen for the D.P.O.
The Baba got tired and resigned to fate. He said he'll evict me after my rent expired, too bad I paid for 2 years.
After that incident, every other tennant became inspired and started using their generators. When our transformer got spoilt and the heat became unbearable, even Oga Landlord too bought a brand new generator. We all went to congratulate him for finally joining the clique. Las las, I and Baba became good friends until I left the compound about 4 years later. I don't like the generator noise too. Mostly for security reasons at night. Hencw the reason I'm planning extending solar panels to all the apartments so they all get their batteries and inverter. |

lonelydora: I was having discussions with my guys about how I did 150km/hr few days ago.
So, I decided to create this topic. Here are few speeds I have done some years back.
When you are driving a 'sound' vehicle and on a smooth expressway, the truth is, you won't even know when you are hitting hard on the accelerator especially if you are driving a heavy engine like V6 or a V8.
While I do not know the current condition of some of these roads, here are few I have done before:
1. Lokoja - Abuja - Kaduna: 160km/hr (Dis road sweet wella)
2. Kontangora (Niger) - Yauri/Jega (Kebbi): 160km/hr
3. Abuja - Keffi: 140km/hr
4. Port Harcourt - Ikot Abasi - Eket: 140km/hr
5. Benin - Ore: 145km/hr (I don't really like this road)
6. Abuja - Jos: 145km/hr
7. Enugu - Port Harcourt: 150km/hr (escaped from some bad boys. A story for another day)
Remember,
SPEED KILLS ‼️ DRIVE TO STAY ALIVE ‼️ Why do you hate our road o? |

helinues: My research was actually specific about Opay.. They have a blinking future. The traditional banks had their reasons for not just opening branches or having agents anyhow, it's the staff that will run the business down eventually because of scam and fraud.
Think on that, no more hints Thank God you're referring to Opay and not my darling Moniepoint. You need to come close to see how we operate. Do you think the owner is stupid enough to leave a loop hole for some useless staff to harm his customers? |

CountinBlessins: I said it! Some stupid Yoruba kids were insulting me here.!!!
Which Bini man , which true son of bini soil will accept the insults these Yorubas dare to us daily ?!
We are not related to Yoruba !! We have nothing in common. With Yoruba !!!
I hate anything that involves us with Yoruba!!!!
Let the southwest stay on their own and mind their business.
Niger delta has nothing to do with Yoruba..the famzing is irritating. These people don't realize how much they hated sha. They actually live in a delusion that anyone sees anything good in them hence the need to always poke nose and try to form brotherhood.
I spit whenever I see them here in Bini. I slapped the idiot yoruba boy who dared insult oba in my presence.
I slapped him so hard he nearly collapsed. How dare you say Oba is under yoruba kings ?!!!
If I had my way , no yoruba person will ever be allowed into Edo state , talkless of renting or wining property.
They are hateful disrespectful and arrogant.
Is dislike these people with every fiber of my being. If I had my way .... No yoruba will ever......
Let me no talk
If only you know how we feel about you guys ehn. Una go dey run avoid us.
Spits with all disgust. Wait till I get my 3rd Benin woman as wife. You guys claimed to be civilised yet what's coming out of your mouth stings. Without the Yorubas, who will help you guys cultivate your lands and forest that you abandoned? Who is giving Edo the cocoa producing glory you have today if not us? The Yorubas can cope anywhere they go (bush or city centers) but you guys find it difficult to stay in fellow Nigerian land because of your dirty behaviour. Instead you will rather go and do slave in Italy. |

DeLaRue: The Yoruba Internet warriors are a big part of the problem.
There is nothing wrong if Oba of Benin traces his lineage back to Ife. Both the Oba and the Ooni are comfortable with the true story.
But this new Internet generation have turned the whole thing into 'Yoruba owns Edo', 'Edo is Yoruboid' etc None of these is correct.
Edos are a proud people, with a distinct culture and civilisation. They're not Yoruboid and don't want to hear that nonsense.
I don't see why the Oba having Yoruba lineage should be a problem. If anything, it is something to be celebrated and honoured by him and the Ooni and used to bring their 2 people together.
The Oba of Benin is probably concerned that his people will hold his self-confessed Yoruba lineage against him. That is understandable in the context of petty political and civic rivalries that Africans in particular excel at.
People, particularly some of these Yoruba internet youths should butt out of this matter and let Edo people be. How can you separate a father from his son or vice versa? |
