If U wanna know all Jesus words in it kindly get the red label bible. All highlighted word in it are the words of God. How can U call something God word when there're a lot of mistake,contradiction and false tinz in it, God can never be wrong . Ohibenemma: Once again, I'm impressed by the way you go about springing out quotes from the Bible. Having done my NYSC in the north, I'm not surprised. Thumbs up. However, what you fail to realise is that 'all have sinned and come short of God's glory." That includes you and I, but "God demonstrated His love towards us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." His piety was attested to by the prophets of old and, of course, by the founder of your religion, Muhammad. But in a bid to be set apart and reverred like most men will, he claimed superiority over God's own son, Jesus. But Muhammad was quick to show how of little consequence he was by stating that even he himself wasn't sure of making heaven... Now, that's funny.
But there's a name that's above every other name and that name is Jesus Christ. He has even gone to prepare a place for us(as many as believe in Him). You are offered that same opportunity. Please, don't reject it.

Enigma: Christians have the words of Jesus and of the apostles to (a) reassure them and (b) to guide them.

Mercifully the reassurance and guidance of Jesus and the apostles to us Christians let us know that we Christians do not need "popes" (some of whom even their sheep i.e. even Roman Catholics described as antiChrists).

For now just a couple of examples of the assurance and guidance that Christians have from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and from the apostles.

1. Jesus is the Good Shepherd of Christians; He knows them and they know Him!
John 10
14“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me

2. Christians as Jesus' sheep listen to His voice, He knows them, they follow Him and He gives them eternal life.
John 10
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

3. Jesus has given the Holy Spirit to Christians to lead them to all truth.
John 16
7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.

4. Because Christians have the Holy Spirit they do not need a "pope" or such like to teach them.
1 John 2
27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.


Summary
Christians have enough assurances from Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and with the teachings of the apostles as recorded in the Christian Bible. Christians do not need any "pope". I might return later to quotes from their sheep i.e. Roman Catholics including Bishops about some of these "popes".

In the meantime I finish this post with an ordinarily prominent "sheep" of a pope; a quote from no less than a "cardinal" who in fact, historians tell us, could have himself become a "pope" and was actually considered for becoming a "pope"!

"The chief lesson of these times is that the Church can get along very well without popes. What is vital to the Church's survival is not the pope but Jesus Christ. He is the head of the Church, not the pope." ("Cardinal" Baronius --- as quoted)

Juell: Try go for a church service and listen to what pastors say about "dressing modestly" then u'll know those girls are not just ready to listen. And moreover Christianity is of the heart, going to church or bearing a Christian name doesn't make one a Christian. I saw something 2day, I went to site 2day. While I was sitting watching what was going on there, behold a Muslim woman came out the security man's room, (she's not his wife O!) put on her hiljab and walked away. Bros wearing hiljab does not mean a woman is clean spiritually.

striktlymi: I believe I already addressed that question with the relevant scriptural backing. Jesus talked about demonstrating love for God by keeping his commandments while Paul confirmed to us that the Gentiles can keep the commandments without knowing God.

I have also addressed the above before. Only Jesus saves...everyone before, during or after Jesus MUST go through him to the Father[b] but not everyone MUST believe in him to get to him. [/b]
