Mynd_44: Both.

Okay I wanna discuss Luke 10; 25-27 today. Please read it and lets talk about it
there is something 'sinister' with this ur Luke 10:25-27.
You just need to be sincere!

Judas2013: sex for me is simply a method to get high naturally. Sex is a practice that releases endorphins, that expands our brain and releases natural opiates that can relieve pain in the body. I’ve discovered that if you have one long orgasm a day, your whole life will change — your creativity, your career, your magnetism, your ability to handle crisis, your finances. Sex is the shortest and best way to access your naturally high state of being.

sex also means seeing the divine in your partner and your partner seeing the divine in you, the same consciousness of namasté in yoga. If you can approach sex in that way, miracles take place.

Any book that says sex of any form is a sin is only trying to limit the creativities of humans.
hmmm...not surprised looking at where that is coming from...

Salvation is more dan a decission, it is a miracle smiley
miracle? I prefer 'a gift'.
Well, when i say decision i mean you must be old enough to take the decision...you are not born into salvation or being saved!

quivah: hmmmm!
My brethren! My salvation story was just so great.

March 2012.
I went to a church program with some of my friends..the sermon was cool tho it wasn't about salvation..we treated a verse in 1st kings or so..
After the sermon, the pastor dropped some prayer points.. majorly on "household enemies"..menh! I pray sotey in a very loud voice cause those beside me where praying as if them wan drag heaven down!!

"If you know you are not born again, raise up ya hand and step forward" the pastor said
"Other brethren please close your eyes" he added..
I go to church always so its not like I was new in the system but I just went out that day cause I was yet to have my water baptism.

I stepped forward with some other people and one after the other he prayed for us..spoke in tongue..blew air straight on our fore heads and push the head(people without stamina fell sha but you know? It was holy ghost baptism, while others staggered and a few dint shake,,i was one of them)
The man asked those who fell to return back to their seats as the H G don fall on them..
The pastor resumed praying for the rest of us..telling us to speak in tongue that the H G is here..
He kept shouting, some started speaking glibberish[i guess they were fed up]while like three of us dint
We went back to our seats after the pastor said he would attend to us later shoooo!..

I wondered,na so I stubborn reach?!..
I have never spoke in tongue, heard from god nor saw a vision even tho I prayed and fasted over them!!.

I resolved into believing what I believe now..

I got saved into atheism

Lool!!
I know whats good,and I do them..
oh,quivah!

aManFromMars: Yeah, I'm the one that should be bothered. I should be paid for coping with such level of ignorance.

There are armed robbers who are Christians..

There are prostitutes who are Christians.

There are homosexuals who are Christians..

There are liars who are Christians.

Most of our politicians are Christians...

Maybe if a politicians comes here and opens a thread for 'Christian politicians' we will move it to the Politics section.

Mynd_44: And it is the Opinion of the people who opened said thread. Did anyone do any sexually explicit thing there? As long as they discuss religion according to their opinion, it is legal

and you have every right to stay the hell away from that thread.
The fact that it is there opinion does not make it right!
As far as i am concern, opinion may be wrong!
And thank God for the word 'religion' you put up there!
Christianity EtcRe: Questions? Comments? Complaints? Talk To The Moderators Here by Mintayo(m): 6:04pm On Sep 15, 2013
aManFromMars: Wrong? LOL.

Let's see.

Let's say I have a brother who's homosexual. It's against everything my family stands for, yet he still wants to keep the family name. Should I disown him and throw him out? Leave him out in the wild to fend for himself?

Your gay brothers(yes, they're your brothers) created a thread for themselves cos they need support in a cruel world where justice seems like a dream to them. Christianity is an open religion, the basis being that Jesus died for everyone. They've found solace in that.

But what do our so-called born again Xtians do? They go in there threatening fire and brimstone. They forget that by doing that, they actually break some of NL's rules.

READ THEM UP.

Your brothers don't react violently. They actually try to use reason to discuss with you, but y'all want the thread closed. Your christian chatbox thread won't accommodate them, will it? SO you throw their thread to the SEXUALITY section, though that thread(the contents) had nothing to do with sexuality. Now you remind them that it's a crime under Nigerian law, like they didn't know that already.

Seriously, you needed an atheist to tell y'all this?
lolz, again you are not getting the points, actually you are not getting...not like i expect you too!
At the end of the day,it is actually you athiests that will be associating gays with CHRISTians!
My point is there is nothing like 'gay christains'...'armed robber christains'...'prostitute christains'...'satanist christains'...'athiest christains'...PERIOD!

Logicboy03: The pope is an authority over 1 billion christians.

Only an ignorant Nigerian will compare Adeboye to the pope.
lolz, thats what you think...your own opinion actually.
Christianity EtcRe: Questions? Comments? Complaints? Talk To The Moderators Here by Mintayo(m): 5:47pm On Sep 15, 2013
Mynd_44: Again the Pope has said it is not his right to judge gays. The Anglicans too.

Just because you have homophobia does not mean you should bother yourself with things that are not addressed to you.

The mods are not supposed to moderated based on your religion. They are supposed to based on the rules.
The pope is not an authority over christains, not even the angilcans, not oyedepo or adeboye...they are not our standard...they don't have the final say!
The fact that the pope or anglican approves of something does not make it right, pls get this right!
Christianity EtcRe: Questions? Comments? Complaints? Talk To The Moderators Here by Mintayo(m): 5:39pm On Sep 15, 2013
aManFromMars: Na, it isn't for them.. Christians couldn't have their section like the cute Muslims next door. So a few create a new chat thread which was all good. I personally had no qualms with that.

Now they define what Christianity is, what's not accepted by Christianity, and which group of Christians aren't true Christians.

Funny thing is I know these kind of people quite well. I used to work with them in real life. I was once a part of them.. I'm glad something kept me away from the extremes.. The Bible is a huge book, and if one isn't careful, you'll find the right verses to accommodate your 'hatred'...

Ask the 'crackers'...
You are taken it actually wrongly!

Christianity EtcRe: Share The Experience Of Your Salvation Here. by Mintayo(m): 1:48pm On Sep 15, 2013
haibe: I was born a muslim, i never got to know much about christianity except that it was just another religion in the country, i usually saw it as another way God wants us to worship him, infact i tot all the religions on earth were from God and that God wanted us to worship him in different ways, so i did not see any reason why i should become a christian even though a lot of my friends preached to me while in secondary school.

I began to wonder why christians where so concerned about non-christians accepting Jesus into their lives, i was like aren't we worshipping the same God? Why do i have to worship God in the christian way?, i also noticed some events wherby muslims in the north persecuted the christians over there to leave their faith and turn to islam, i wondered why they were doing this, i mean since its one God we are all serving why then are they forcing those christians to become muslims.

I thought about this for months and then decide to know the root of all the religion issues of wanting other people to be converted, i then began to study my quran very well(in english now) because i only knew how to recite in arabic, we were to recite it in prayers and so one has to memorize them, also there is qualification for someone who has read the quran finish, it was like a school, after memorizing the quran finish, there is usually a form of graduation called "wolima", so my parents made me read the quran, i was able to recite some already, i recited in arabic even though i never knew the meaning of what i was reciting, i was so happy that at least i have fulfilled a tradition, all this are by the way.

So after i desired to know more about my religion, i got an english quran and started reading it and got to understand what i had been reading in arabic for years, i read to a point and then decide to start reading the bible too, i read the bible randomly and noticed how both the quran and bible contradicted themselves so much, my quran told me alllah(God as i tot) has no son but the bible says God does have a son, and so many other contraditions, i did not fret much until i got to some verses of the quran where the writer said unbelievers(christian and jews) will go to hell, this was when my journey started.

After doing lots of research, i found out the God of the bible is different from alah, i then grew interest in reading the bible, i read till i got convicted that Jesus really died for my sins and that through Jesus in me i can live that holiness of life which i have longed to live, i had always wanted to do the right thing always while a muslim but i couldn't, i fell into sin always(i didn't understand why), i read about Jesus and believed in him but still i did not want to accept him as my lord and saviour because of the fear of my parents, so i pretended nothing happened, i continued living as a muslim.

I got admitted into the university in the year 2010, i was happy because i heard a lot about the university as a place where you are free, you see lots of beautiful girls and can do whatever you like, i started living the life which i loved then, drinking , partied once in a while, etc, i saw all this as enjoyment, it was about 2 months into the semester when i realised one of my roommate did not live like us(i and my other roommates), he was always reading his bible, praying and all that, i wasn't interested, i continued living my life until this day he preached to me and then the memories of me wanting to accept christ earlier came, i hated his preaching because i knew i would stop sinning if i accepted christ and so i didn't listen much to him, one faithful day he invited me to his church, i attended and whoa!! I experienced what seems impossible that day, it was the first time ever that i would ever feel my creator's presence, i experienced joy and peace, i felt so remorseful and sorrowful of my sin, i accepted christ as my lord and saviour, i prayed earnestly and was filled with the holy ghost, it was strange but i knew i was a changed person from that day on, i lived a completely different live from that which i lived before, i became a new creature, i became born-again, i never wanted to lie, steal, lust, fornicate(i never fornicated though), backbite, masturbate again, i just fell in love with Jesus and loved to read the bible, i faced queries from my muslim friend, they tried to prove to me the bible is corrupt and that allah is the true God but mba No, i refused because my greatest desire to be a new(holy) person had come to pass, something has changed, a burden has been lifted, i refused to turn back.

A muslim friend of mine in school called my parents and told them about the new advancement of my faith, that i now go to church and all that, i got persecuted by my muslim friends, my parents and co, but to cut the long story short, i overcame by the grace of God and here am i standing today by the mercies of God,
halleluyah.
