"#UAE Cabinet chaired by HHShkMohd, approves new amendment for tourist visas in #UAE," the government of Dubai Media Office tweeted, referring to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE prime minister and ruler of Dubai.
"The new tourist visa will be valid for 5 years and can be used for multiple entries and is open for all nationalities," the Dubai Media Office wrote.
Sheikh Maktoum said on Twitter that the UAE currently attracts 21 million tourists a year.
Travellers from Africa, some South American countries, Arab states outside the Gulf, and European states from outside the European Union and former Soviet Union previously needed visas.

afroniger: Well, are they trying to say that until recently Punch has been mainly dependent on FG patronage for survival? Because if that is the case then it means the business model behind the company wasn't sustainable to begin with. Apart from the older generation, most folks don't even buy or read hardcopy newspapers anymore these days; many have chosen instead to rely on online news sources (including Nairaland). Many opposition/PDP inclined newspapers/media outlets have been surviving since the party lost power, so I don't see the need for this sort of campaign.
most Nigerian newspapers are in existence because of government patronage.

uninspired07: I know this my thread might get some people angry but it’s a subject that surprises me whenever I think of it. How do normal Nigerians who are educated have more than 2 children in a country like Nigeria with all the poverty & hopelessness? I am still single but I have it in mind to lay a ground rule that whichever woman I marry must agree to family planing methods after the birth of the 1st child whether male or female. And if the 1st baby is male, we can as well wait for another 5 years before having a baby of either sex as the last.
But I wonder when I see Nigerians that are not so wealthy giving birth to 4 - 5 kids in the midst of grinding economic depression and in a nation that has clearly failed. Don’t these Nigerians know that the country can descend into war anytime due to the instability that is so palpable? I get afraid when I see couples who have 4 children in this day & age so I always wonder how they are coping with the stress & the bills. I also wonder why they are not afraid of Nigeria.
pray your partner agrees with you
