Foreign Affairs / South Sudanese Capital City Gets Electricity For First Time by Miracleboy2019: 12:06pm On Nov 23, 2019
‘This marks the beginning of the new era: No more war,’ President Salva Kiir says

South Sudan has launched its first electricity grid and power distribution system in the country's capital Juba with President Salva Kiir Mayardit declaring it a strong sign of peace, unity and development in the world’s youngest nation.

The launch marks the first time the city will actually have an electricity grid as the government and other private institutions had functioned by using their own generators.

President Salva Kiir used the opportunity to
emphasise the end of war in the crisis-ridden nation and declared focus is now squarely on development to deliver services to South Sudan’s citizens.

"To my follow citizens, today marks the beginning of the new era: No more war. This is the time of development and services delivery to people," Kiir said while commissioning the plant.

"This project marks a major milestone for the Ministry of Energy and Dams and the nation at large. More importantly, it is hoped for us as people that our dreams will not just remain
dreams but will become a reality," Kiir said.

He said the electricity would eradicate pollution that comes with large scale use of diesel in the environment, and assured the country that the government would equally focus on developing hydroelectric power and the renewable energy sector.

"This project will spur development across all the economic sectors in the country where more than 70% of lighting relies on generators and others on kerosene," he said.

The Ezra Group from Eritrea invested $289 million in the power plant that will provide 100 megawatts for Juba when completed, the Managing Director, Ghebrengu Ezra, told reporters during the launch

"Ezra group is willing to invest in this project without any guarantee,” he declared.

The Juba City Power distribution system was also constructed with the support of the African Development Bank which provided $38 million, according to Dhieu Mathok, Minister of Energy and Dams.

This historic development comes just weeks after the visit of Nigerian ‘Prophet’ TB Joshua who led public prayers for peace in the Presidential Palace with President Kiir, his whole cabinet and thousands of South Sudanese citizens in attendance.

The United Nations, African Union and US Government are among the bodies echoing Joshua’s call for peace in recent days, calling on South Sudan’s leaders to overlook their differences and ensure a unity a government is formed within the 100-day extension framework.

Politics / Boroffice Congratulates Bello, Lyon Over Hard-won Victories* by Miracleboy2019: 11:35am On Nov 19, 2019
*Boroffice congratulates Bello, Lyon over hard-won victories*

The Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice, has felicitated with Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief David Lyon over their hard-won victories at the just concluded governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.

In a press statement issued by his media office, Senator Boroffice commended members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi and Bayelsa States for putting up great efforts to secure hard-won victories in the hard-fought elections.

Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief David Lyon are advised to be large-hearted and magnanimous in victory by carrying relevant stakeholders along in the task of governance.

Meanwhile, it is quite unfortunate and utterly condemnable that killings and pockets of violence were recorded in the elections.

Obviously, the lesson from the elections is that the combined efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies cannot guarantee violence-free elections without the cooperation of politicians and the people. I sincerely hope Nigerians will demonstrate greater committment to peace during future elections.

Religion / TB Joshua Reconciled Samuel Doe Jr With Yormie Johnson In 2000 by Miracleboy2019: 7:20pm On Nov 15, 2019

HOW TB JOSHUA RECONCILED THE SON OF Liberia’s PRESIDENT WITH THE MAN WHO MURDERED HIS FATHER!

- WHY THIS RECONCILIATION BROUGHT PEACE TO LIBERIA

- WATCH THE VIDEO AND READ THE STORY

Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has just returned from a peace-brokering mission in South Sudan where he led President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his cabinet in prayer for peace at the nation’s Presidential Palace.

However, records reveal this is not the cleric’s first intervention when it comes to brokering peace on a national scale.

In November 2000, Joshua oversaw a heartfelt reconciliation that touched the nation of Liberia between Samuel Doe Jr and the man responsible for gruesomely slaughtering his father, Prince Yormie Johnson.

In the height of Liberia’s brutal civil war, Johnson – then a rebel leader – captured President Samuel Doe in Monrovia and tortured him publicly before executing him in footage seen on news reports around the world.

“Every night I went to sleep, I prayed that one day God would give me to the opportunity to meet this man and kill him to revenge the death of my father,” Samuel Doe Jr publicly admitted during his visit to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

Doe Jr said he harbored this “grudge” for ten long years. Unbeknownst to him and his mother Nancy who came to seek prayers at The SCOAN, the former warlord had ‘repented’, become a Christian and was in attendance at Joshua’s church.

Spotting Johnson amidst the large church crowd, Doe Jr said he felt his blood “run cold” and looked for a weapon to enact revenge.

“I felt like running inside the kitchen to pick up a knife,” he recounted. However, Doe Jr was ‘supernaturally restrained’ from carrying out his vengeful intentions as he was “under the control of the Holy Spirit”.

After publicly confessing what was ‘hindering his salvation’, Joshua counselled the Doe family about the need for forgiveness, after which he prayed for them.

“If Jesus can forgive us of our sins, then who am I to hold a grudge against a child of God,” Samuel announced to rapturous applause from the congregation.

Prince Yormie Johnson then came forward from the crowd and the duo warmly embraced, subsequently joined by Liberia’s former First Lady Nancy Doe and TB Joshua.

In a meeting the next week, Johnson revealed the reconciliation went beyond just the two families but extended to the warring tribes in Liberia.

“This reconciliation will go a long way to unite our two ethnic groups. The war in Liberia started between us and the reconciliation will have to begin with us,” he revealed.

Liberia has since enjoyed peace nationwide for over fifteen years and is steadily cementing its status as a growing democracy in West Africa.

Prince Yormie Johnson has returned to Liberia as a Senator and plays an active role in his country’s politics.

In the run-up to Liberia’s last elections, Johnson visited The SCOAN with George Weah, eventually choosing to endorse the football legend, which proved pivotal to his eventual ascension to Liberia’s Presidency.

TB Joshua also played an important reconciliatory role in Tanzania in the wake of the divisive 2015 elections which saw John Magufuli emerge victorious.

Joshua visited the East African nation, holding extensive meetings with both President Magufuli and opposition leader Edward Lowassa, both of whom had previously visited his church in Lagos.

Citizens acknowledged Joshua’s visit significantly reduced the palpable tensions that existed in the aftermath of the disputed elections and restored peace to the nation.

“ Why I Visited Togo President”- Prophet Joshua Iginla

Popular Nigerian prophet and Shepherd in charge of Champions Royal Assembly, Joshua Iginla was in Togo to see the President, Faure Gnassingbe which we reliably gathered caused a lot of wild Jubilation among the citizens.

In an exclusive chat with him this morning from South Africa he revealed the real reason he was in Togo with the president .

He confessed that , “Yes I was actually in Togo. 1 Timothy 2:2 admonishes us to pray for Kings and those in authority. I paid a courtesy Visit to the president of Togo, Faure Gnassingbe on his exclusive invitation.

My mission was strictly to pray for the nation of Togo and declare the Raw truth as laid on my mind by God for His Excellency and the nation. It is not for showmanship or political gains.

Of a truth, I must admit the President’s humility and love for the prophetic truth endears him to me.

Togo is a great Nation and I see a new wave of glory sweeping through the country.

Remember 2 Chronicles 20:20 says; “Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper”

It is known that Nigerian Pastor Joshua Iginla was born on 21st of May 1969 in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Interestingly, in Joshua Iginla family, father and mother were Muslims, but he accepted Christianity as his faith.

Joshua Iginla said in an interview that his conversion into Christianity faced some difficulties. His father Lasisi Iginla was not happy about such decision, Mr. Joshua Iginla said: “I was treated like an outcast.”

Despite the difficulties, the pastor continued his way. He started his ministry with preaching the gospel in villages and local schools. At the beginning, the pastor was the member of Evangelical Ministry (OPEM). After some years Joshua Iginla started his own ministry. According to his words, it was the will of God.

He said in the interview:

It was on that quest when the pressure became high that God told me that the place isn’t where I’ll prosper. He opened the scripture to me and told me how he told Abraham to leave his father’s house to land he will show him. He said my allocation has expired in Ibadan and the place I’ll prosper is Abuja, I borrowed the money that took me from Ibadan to Abuja.
In the first period of living in Abuja, Joshua Iginla was an assistant of Pastor Reverend. Joseph Yusuf Haruna. Joshua Iginla became a founder and leader of Champions Royal Assembly. “While I was in Buari, God started speaking to me that it is time to raise a champions generation.” These are the words of the pastor about the launching of his organization.

Revd. Gbenga gave Joshua Iginla N70,000 to start a church, and it was a beginning of a new great ministry, that became known around the world. First sermons were in an abandoned house, and now the pastor builds huge auditorium

The pastor is a record breaker and unique person in many sense, here are some unexpected facts from Joshua Iginla biography:

Politics / Revival! Dapo Abiodun’s Strides In Reviving Quality Education In Ogun by Miracleboy2019: 11:25pm On Nov 14, 2019
Revival! Dapo Abiodun’s Strides in Reviving Quality Education in Ogun

That was the most apt and most resounding word coming from the vocal box of the then gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State. Prince Dapo Abiodun minced no word about his intent to work round the clock to revive education from the near comatose it had been plunged into in Ogun State, a state which was before then known for being among the best in Nigeria. Empirical evidence as well as historical antecedents pointed to Ogun State as the Nigeria’s cradle of civilisation. But all that changed over time due to neglect and lack of deliberateness on the part of people at the helm of affairs then. Now that he is in the saddle, Governor Dapo Abiodun has unleashed his ingenuity to bring back the lost education glory of the state which has proudly produced many icons of global repute as well as thought leaders and political gladiators with impact that has remained indelible for ages.
During the silver jubilee of the historic launch of the Free Universal Primary Education in January 1980, late Chief Obafemi Awolowo addressed the Government and people of Ogun State at the Ogun State House of Assembly. According to the former Premier of Western Region, “Education is a fundamental right, and it is the inalienable right of every Nigerian citizen to be educated free by the state. To treat education as a privilege, the opportunity to acquire which is limited to the children of the well-to-do and the rich, or which must be paid for from loan given to the student by the state, is a most misguided policy. For the avoidance of doubt, by free education we mean the abolition of not only of fees but also of all kinds of levies, by whatever name called that are still being imposed and collected in some parts of the country.”
With this speech, foremost statesman, Chief Awolowo, re-emphasized the significance of popular education of the masses, even though free education had been core of his politics. This ideal has equally been enunciated by Governor Abiodun whose has tasked his administration to get the state back to the enviable top. In his inaugural speech, Governor Abiodun made no pretence about the enormity of challenges in the education section. He lamented the state of education sector, which he described as so worrisome, particularly in funding, white elephant projects some of which were moribund, unpaid salaries, controversial campus relocation, hasty appointment, among others.
Governor Abiodun brought his sense of duty to bear immediately he assumed duties. He made free education mandatory for pupils in primary and secondary schools. Prior to his coming on board, these groups of students were subjected to paying indiscriminate fees and levies with little or nothing to justify such payments. His declaration of free education put immediate end to the N3,700 levied on students as adopted by the former administration on the advice of the Parents Teachers Association.
“The fee negates the free education policy of this administration. It is like payment through the back door,” Abiodun said when defending his administration’s decision to take the burden of school fees off parents whose salaries are already stretched.
When questions were raised about the sustainability of the stoppage, he assured that his team were on top of the situation and would be working with school principals and headmasters general to look into the issue and proffer ways in which the gaps created by the stoppage would be blocked.
“I hereby suspend the payment in all our schools. We will also look into the issue of principal and headmaster generals. I have told them to go and look at and how we can make it work without having to charge anybody, because we promised we are going to offer free education.”
This has put paid to indiscriminate charges in primary and secondary schools, an initiative that has seen increase in the rate of student enrolments in primary and secondary schools.
Governor Abiodun in his maiden address after resumption, made it clear that his administration was going to tackle the hydra-headed challenged head long. “We are going to bring our education sector up to standard.
“Yes, we have the largest number of tertiary institutions in this State, however, the performances of our students are not encouraging and we have to change that so we may be declaring a state of emergency in the education sector.”
One of the earliest actions Abiodun took as Governor was setting up visiting panels on tertiary institutions in the state to assess the challenges facing the institutions, evaluate them and recommend actions to be taken to address the issues. These Panels have been submitting their reports; and the governor has alluded to the fact that his administration has resolved the issues at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, and the embattled Tai-Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Omu, Ijebu, adding that the state government has set up a Government Delivery Unit for education in the state.
Governor Abiodun has also demonstrated that he is for all institution irrespective of their ownership structure. He has constantly visited and celebrated wins of privately owned institutions as well as those owned by both Ogun State and Federal Governments while also has pledged infrastructure development to aid their operations.
At the 40th anniversary and 19th convocation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, the Ogun State Governor offered Miss. Akintola Esther Modupe, the best graduating student of the institution automatic employment. Miss Akintola graduated with a cumulative average grade of 3.90 out of the maximum 4. She would commence work immediately after her mandatory one year national youth service scheme. The same gesture was also replicated during the convocation ceremony of Ogun State Institute of Technology where Governor Abiodun offered immediate employment to the Overall Best Graduating Student with a CGPA of 3.85 on a scale of 4.0, Adedokun Yetunde of the Department of Accountancy.
Governor Abiodun’s administration greatly appreciates the importance of personnel in educational development. As such, he has not only been about renovations and building of physical structure, even though that has been a front-burner activity for his government. He recently directed that promotional examination and interview for career elongation of primary school teachers to Grade level 15 be carried out. Recently, he approved the release of 2016 and 2017 promotion for 10, 000 teachers. The administration’s monthly commitment to timely payment of salaries and benefits of teachers has always been given 100% attention.
Ogun State Government pays an average of N791million pensions to retired Local Government Council workers and the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, retirees monthly. The present government has vowed to offset an outstanding debt of N32billion in gratuities and death benefits incurred between August 2011 and June 2019 under its Transition Pension Scheme.
Records from the Bureau of Local Government Pensions showed that the present administration has been facilitating prompt release of retirement savings account balance to retirees who had disengaged from the Contributory Pension Scheme with a view to ensuring that senior citizens enjoy better life after meritorious years of service to the councils. Apart from the N791 million being paid monthly as pensions, the Bureau has also paid N4,6 billion as monthly pensions between January and June, 2019.
Governor Abiodun’s reinstatement of Deputy Director in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, who was sacked by the immediate past administration for alleged dereliction of duty, shows his resolve to be fair and address all types of injustice meted out to workers. Also reinstated was the former Chairman, Nigerian Union of Teachers, Ogun State Chapter, Mr. Dare Ilekoya who had been compulsorily retired for alleged infractions, during the 2016 World Teachers Day celebration. Governor Abiodun, who announced the reinstatement during the 2019 World Teachers Day celebration held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, said the action was "to encourage teachers and also the right thing to do."
The Ogun State Governor said that his administration would continue to ensure that the rights of teachers were protected and he called on teachers to be guided by the laws of the civil service.
Abiodun noted that the celebration of the World Teachers Day was a key element of nation building and a catalyst for the mental, physical, social and spiritual development of humanity, adding that the celebration was a great day of joy for teachers and equally those trained or brought up by teachers.
"I know very much the sacrifices that teachers make on a daily basis to impart knowledge, considering the prevailing socio-economic situation where we have continued to see that students spend a longer part of their days with their teachers. The teachers are fast becoming foster parents as well, and as such, a good student is not just a reflection of the home, but also of the teacher. Celebrating our teachers is, therefore, not a thing of one, but of all days," he said.
Abiodun enjoined the teachers to double their efforts so as to achieve better performance from students in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and other examinations, commending the academic excellence and sagacity of professional tutors and teachers at the national level through the exploits of Yewa College, Ilaro; Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro; Ijebu-Ode Grammar School; Adeola Odutola College; Mayflower, Ikenne; and, Abeokuta Grammar School.
In its bid to further encourage teachers in the state to do more, the Ogun State Government has disclosed that plans are underway to have the Governor's Teachers' School Excellence Award, with a view to creating healthy and meaningful competition among teachers in the state. Governor Abiodun made this known while welcoming the awardees that did Ogun State proud at the President-Teachers School Excellence Award (an award for teachers across the country) held in Abuja. Abiodun expressed his readiness to domesticate the award to let the teachers know that they can also get their rewards on the earth before proceeding to heaven to get the ultimate laurel.
"I want to introduce a state challenge among teachers in our state. The challenge will be known as the Governor's Teachers' School Excellence Award. We are going to domesticate this. What we will do to those that excel will be bigger than what you got from the President-Teachers Award. We will expand it to accommodate more teachers. Today, you have done us proud, our heads are 'swollen,' you have done us proud. It is important we sustain it, and one of the ways is to establish the Governor's Excellence Award," he said.
He added that the state government will continue to give all necessary support to teachers in the state, saying that his administration would continue to do all in its power to return the state to its place of pride in the education sector.
"If out of 15 awards, we have won 4, that means there is 11 to share between the other 35 states. That means we have done well. I want to assure you that we will give you all the needed support to sustain all what you have achieved," he said.
Abiodun also disclosed that the State Government would support the winners with cash gifts as a way of incentives, saying that no good will go without its reward.
In another development, the administration is currently embarking on rehabilitation of Public Schools across the 236 Wards in Ogun State.
With the amount of focus this administration is giving to repositioning and strengthening the educational institutions, it is only a matter of time before Ogun State regains it pride of place in the educational sector nationally and globally.

Religion / TB Joshua: Why I Left South Sudan Quietly Without Thank You In Cash Or Kind by Miracleboy2019: 9:00pm On Nov 13, 2019
“Why I left South Sudan Quietly “- T.B. Joshua

The senior Prophet of Synagogue Church Of All Nations Prophet T.B. Joshua has revealed exclusively the real reasons for his quiet departure from South Sudan shortly after his meeting with President Salva Kiir on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 inside the Presidential Palace, Juba.

He revealed that he left quietly due to divine instructions.

In a statement made available to us he said he decided to clear the air so as to put the record straight.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT BY PROPHET TB JOSHUA REGARDING HIS RECENT VISIT TO SOUTH SUDAN

I bring you Calvary greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Following my ‘quiet’ departure from the country of South Sudan after a recent visit there, please permit me to clear the air on what transpired.

I know that many citizens and residents of South Sudan would have wanted me to spend a few more days with them. Indeed, I saw thousands of people waiting at the lobby of the hotel because they thought I would stay for longer.

However, I had received an instruction from God to leave immediately – without waiting for any ‘thank you’ whatsoever, whether in cash or kind.

The same God Almighty had sent me there – to pray for South Sudan and lead the nation to a new beginning. Who am I, then, to disobey the voice of my Master, my Creator, the One who gives life to us all?

On this note, therefore, I would like to urge all expectant South Sudanese and other nationals to please understand that I had to obey the voice of God.

No doubt, there is need for a revival crusade in South Sudan. As such, I await divine directions for another visit soon, for the harvest is on the way! Emmanuel – God with us!

Politics / South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardit Welcomes Prophet T.b Joshua In Grand by Miracleboy2019: 7:56pm On Nov 12, 2019
South Sudan President, SALVA KIIR MAYARDIT
Welcomes Prophet T.B Joshua In Grand Style
…SCOAN Founder Holds National Prayer For Peace And Tranquility

There was wild jubilation in South Sudan as President Salva Kiir Mayardit received T B Joshua in his Private Jet around 3pm today at the international airport, J1,Southern Sudan. We reliably gathered that the popular televangelist, Prophet T.B. Joshua visited the country today to offer special prayers for peace on the exclusive invitation of the president. Information available to us revealed that Kiir sent a high-level delegation headed by Vice President Wani Igga to Nigeria to deliver an invitation to the prophet offering him an advisory role in the government.

His visit was not unconnected to his role in South Sudan for his alleged prophecy of a failed coup attempt against President Salva Kiir before the conflict erupted in 2013. Upon arrival, he was received amidst pomp and pageantry by the president and entire cabinet and he was driven to the presidential palace in Juba.
Reacting to the grand reception given him, T.B Joshua admitted that his purpose was for peace in the country.

He affirmed, “Thank you very much for welcoming me. He who honours a prophet because he is a prophet receives the reward of a prophet. Thank you for honouring me. I am here to deliver God’s message. I pray that God gives all the political stakeholders in this country discretion that will guard their hearts to obey this message, in Jesus’ name. As a prophet, I need to be specific - that is, I should not say what God has not said. Yes, this is the voice of God. Time has come. Seven times, I have been invited to this country – but each time I received an invitation, I would ask God and the Lord would say, ‘No’. But this time, the Lord said, ‘Yes!’.

Time has come for us to put our differences behind us. Who can fight with the Lord? Time has come for us to put our differences behind us in this youngest nation in the world. If I am a prophet, this will not go without fulfillment. Take your pen and write. I am here to prophesy to the nation. I am not coming here to preach or to teach. If I am a prophet, this will not go without fulfillment. Time has come. The issue of this nation is spiritual. We need to tackle it spiritually.

Time has come - I repeat - for us to put our differences behind us. Our leaders, we should overcome our divisions and agree to work together – for the good of this country. Peace has no price. To show peace has no price, when I was preparing to come to South Sudan, my operator could not find an international insurance company to cover our trip to South Sudan – because of the situation of the nation. The operator recommended that the plane should be parked in Ethiopia or Kenya. I said why? They said because of the situation of the nation.

And this is a country endowed with enormous natural resources. How many investors or tourists would want to go through this?
We cannot do it alone. As I travelled the world, I have discovered that people from South Sudan are everywhere all over the world. There is no country in this world where you will not find South Sudanese. They are intelligent, hard-working, ambitious people. Our leaders should overcome their divisions and allow them to come back to develop their fatherland.

We should overcome our divisions. You cannot stand in the way of the Lord. He owns man’s heart and He can instruct man at any time. Don’t look at my appearance. Don’t look at the clothes I put on; I had to wear something. Look beyond this appearance. Beyond this appearance is the man talking. Next month, we talk of December and then the New Year. This country is going to enter a New Year, a new beginning - whether you like it or not, whether I like it or not. Your agreement does not matter to what God is about to do. So, after this meeting – take your time and look at my antecedents, my track record in the ministry when it comes to the prophetic. Please, take this word seriously. As a prophet, I am not an orator. I need corresponding power to talk. I need the suggestion of the Spirit to talk.

Let us pray as the Spirit directs. Lord, I pray for the peace of South Sudan. Have mercy on the nation! Have mercy on the nation! Let the leaders and citizens of South Sudan obtain Your mercy. Let the leaders and citizens of South Sudan obtain Your mercy. Thank You, Lord, for Your compassion and for Your forgiveness. In Jesus Christ’s name.

This is the message and prayer I am sent to deliver. It may look short – but it’s pregnant. Let us await the result. If God says yes, no one can say no! I pray the hearts of those concerned are controlled by God because the Word of God cannot go without fulfillment. I repeat again – time has come for us to overcome our divisions, for us to put aside our differences. There is no more time for you or us again; God wants to move the nation forward. Long live this peace initiative! Long live the youngest nation in the world, South Sudan!

Breaking! South Sudan President Invites Prophet TB Joshua For Prayers

Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua to hold prayers at J1 tomorrow
Popular televangelist Prophet TB Joshua is expected to visit South Sudan tomorrow, the presidency said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, Presidential spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny confirmed that the self-proclaimed prophet would hold prayers at the presidential palace and preparations are on top gear.
“Yes, he is coming tomorrow to hold prayers for peace. He is coming to pray for the leaders at J1,” Ateny said.
Temitope Balogun Joshua also known as T. B. Joshua is a Nigerian pastor, televangelist, and philanthropist. He founded The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, and owns the Christian television network Emmanuel TV.
TB Joshua gained prominence in South Sudan for his alleged prophecy of a failed coup attempt against President Salva Kiir before the conflict erupted in 2013.
Kiir then sent a high-level delegation headed by Vice President Wani Igga to Nigeria to deliver an invitation to the prophet offering him an advisory role in the government.

It would be recalled that it’s the same way Tanzanian President invited T.B. Joshua for prayers which he honored . And today, Tanzania is one of the best countries in Africa.

Religion / T B Joshua’s Historic Visit To Tanzania With President Magufuli by Miracleboy2019: 11:44pm On Nov 06, 2019
Tanzania, Magufuli And The TB Joshua Factor
By Beatrice Mahlonga

This week, exactly four years ago, a truly historic event was witnessed in the nation of Tanzania. No, I’m not referring to the inauguration of its trailblazing President John Magufuli – although that indeed was a meteoric moment. I am talking about the extraordinary visit of Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua. At a time of political upheaval and division, the news of Joshua’s surprise journey literally dominated the headlines nationwide and significantly contributed to the reduction in post-election tension. Within hours of his touching down in Tanzania and meeting the main opposition leaders, the retributive rhetoric fuelled by the hotly-contested election cooled significantly and calmness replaced anxiety on the streets.

But why else would his visit rank so highly in my reckoning, I hear some of you inquisitively ask? Well, to put it simply, the evidence of TB Joshua’s spiritual covering in the life of President Magufuli – and the country of Tanzania by extension – is unequivocal. Since coming to office, the ‘Bulldozer’ has made a lot of ‘enemies’ – especially among those foreign business entities whose corruption and extortion he so visibly exposed. However, he has remained dogged and determined in his pursuit of betterment for the Tanzanian people – a reality which everyone, slowly but surely, is starting to reap from. Indeed, even his sternest critics can acknowledge that Tanzania has grown in leaps and bounds since his arrival to office. There was, therefore, understandable alarm when news ran amok several weeks ago that Magufuli had collapsed and was ‘allegedly’ airlifted to Germany for emergency treatment.

Days later as rumour-mongers peddled various outlandish outcomes, the President appeared back in public with his trademark stern charisma. I am personally convinced the prayers of TB Joshua led to his restoration and revitalisation. I even heard (on good authority from a Tanzanian journalist) that he sent one of his pastors from Nigeria to personally intercede for the Tanzanian leader! Sceptics and cynics may scoff and question why Nigeria’s sickness-stricken leader Muhammadu Buhari could not equally be helped by Pastor Joshua - but such arguments stem from misinterpretation of the prophetic role. President Magufuli openly acknowledges Joshua’s place in his life and leadership, even referring to him as a ‘mentor’. President Buhari has been conspicuously silent about the cleric since his assumption to power, despite bipartisan calls for him to seek prayers for his litany of debilitating ailments.

TB Joshua acts only under God’s instruction and would not undertake going to meet such leaders on his own accord. Fame and fortune are certainly not mitigating motivators. The fact is that our recognition and value of God’s servants often end up being the key that releases God to release them! As a frustrated Mr Francis Kotche penned on Facebook addressing this very issue, “Our West African Presidents in ECOWAS are sleeping, still chasing and worshipping wealth, fame and position – forgetting that the Lord is the One that makes men great and His servant TB Joshua is in their midst.”

I am not here to suggest that everything has automatically become perfect or there are no challenges in the nation. Of course there are! However, Tanzania is being shepherded by a no-nonsense leader whose policies are producing economic turnaround, stamping out corruption and encouraging morality and good neighbourliness. When TB Joshua re-shared the video of his historic visit to Tanzania on Facebook, Alpha Jeremiah succinctly surmised in a comment: “Yes, we as Tanzanians can boldly say that God has remembered our nation! The development we are experiencing in these four years since the Man of God came to visit is tremendous.”

Today, Tanzania shines as a bastion of development and progress in a continent often dominated by reports of corruption and stagnation. The Biblical adage in Matthew 10:41 springs readily to mind. Tanzania and its leader honoured the prophet and God’s blessings, wisdom and protection have flowed freely ever since!

Politics / Niger Delta Vultures After Me Says Akpabio by Miracleboy2019: 1:30pm On Nov 03, 2019
Niger Delta Vultures after me says Akpabio

The minister of Niger Delta and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio has denied the insinuation going round that he collected money from the former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC), Mr Isima Ekere or any other individual for that matter. He described this allegation as spurious and part of the conspiracy of those who have been milking the resources meant for the development of the Niger Delta for the past 19 years. It is part of their effort to frustrate the forensic audit of the accounts of the NDDC ordered by President Mohammadu Buhari.
For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Akpabio states categorically that he has not received any kobo from anyone in the NDDC or any other agency of government and would want anyone who has any claim to the contrary to come out openly to lay the fact bear before the public. This is a case of corruption fighting back because they have not foreseen that a forensic audit of the accounts of the commission could ever be ordered.
To him, he had always handled any assignment given him with courage and forthrightness and this was why his stride in Akwa Ibom was described as uncommon transformation. He completely transformed the landscape of Akwa Ibom with landmarks projects like the Godswill Akpabio Stadium also known as the Nest of Champions and several roads network in the state capital and across the entire state.
He assures the people of the Niger Delta that he would not fail on the mandate given him by Mr President to make a great impact on the development of the region for the next four years. He bears no grudge against anyone and would rather focus on how to best deliver on this mandate. He called on the people of the Niger Delta and indeed Nigerians to support him to deliver on the Next level promises of Mohammadu Buhari for the nation.
