[quote author=nefertitiram post=46506485]Na wa ooo this 21st century we still have so much debate on the mode of giving birth. I think we need more enlightenment on issues like this in order to prevent some of this avoidable death I read an article where WHO said Nigeria is one of the countries with the highest maternal mortality rate Why Why and Why? As women we should learn to use our common sense even when exercising faith I had an in law who was pregnant with her second child and midway developed high BP she was admitted and the doctors tried to control the BP to no avail they were left with no other option than to terminate the pregnancy in order to safe her life but unfortunately she refused and got herself discharged against doctor's advice in fact she signed the document herself she got back home and 2 days latter she had a fit and by the time she was rushed to the hospital she was dead. My sisters guess what? Barely a year after her husband remarried and the lady started giving birth like rabbit. Lobatan!!!! Who lose ?Sometimes I'm amazed when I hear women (even on this thread) leaving Nigeria and going all the way to the US only to go and be looking for VBAC friendly Doctor with touch light I've found out that 75% of them end up with an emergency CS even after they were assured of a VBAC and end up paying more for an emergency CS. Imagin in this Buhari economy with our hard gotten dollars I was at my tailor's 2 days ago and she was telling me of how her neighbour who just had a set of twins like me and she is so happy for her the only thing she doesn't like is that she had a CS I was like so what!! She doesn't know that I had a CS too.and she went on to say that ppl who do CS end up with a big tommy because they are not allowed to press it after birth see me see Nija ooo.what of all the oyinbos with CS and you will think they never get belle before. Women please let's add common sense to our faith to save our lives and that of our unborn babies we shall not die before our time and we will not be replaced. We will all eat the fruit of our labour |
[quote author=mismarshal post=45958856]Hello Mamas, please who has had to remove a cerclage in Houston? How much did it cost and which doctor did you use. i removed my cerclage at oakbend and it was at the point of delivery (cs) it was done along side the CS for free but I don't know how they bill when it's VD. I guess it will be done before you fall into labor because I was told it's dangerous to go into labour with it because it can cause the uterus to rupture please talk to your Ob/g and remove it early enough it is normally removed as from 36 weeks.. |
[quote author=TheLeakyTribe post=45669787]Hope you are doing well. GBU my sister. This is the most reasonable answer to this lady's predicament so far. Thank God for a thread like this Most of you forming holier than thou would have fallen into the same trap. Even though I've never been in support of misrepresentation and will never be ( instead to lie na Yankee I no go go ) but when ever there is an issue like this lets be civil in the way we respond to the poster and not just had pepper to the injury. We all learn everyday nobody knows it all. An issue like this gives other people an opportunity to learn but if we keep casting stones like we are doing people will be scared to come share their experiences. |
She had the $7k cash, bank statement which she showed to them with a balance of N1.5MM. They replied that hospital cost is inexess of $20,000 so all the fund is not sufficient. She had not paid for the hospital yet. She told them the hospital just gave only appointment but bill was communicated on phone as $5k. (Quote) (Report) (Like) (Share) do? Me:I told her (Went thru my passport saw d cancelled visa nd said) Vo:wht's ur story Me:was returned at Chicago point of entry, cos officer on duty said I don't AV enough money, meanwhile I had 14k dollars nd den I was 32weeks so e adviced my visa will b cancelled so I can re apply but make sure I pay my bills Vo:AV u done so now?nd do u AV proof Me:yes ma,showed her reciept of payment nd doctors correspondent frm hospital Vo:how did u make payment? Me:husband transferred to hospital acc AV the teller slip Vo:let me see Mesadshowed her) Vo:ur visa is being issued u can pick up in 3days tym Me:smiling thank u ma... Well that was my story.... My dear this your story in my opinion is disjointed and there is a missing link somewhere is it actually you or your friend that was deported? Or you are just trying to feel the pulse of the people on the thread? Anyway which ever is the case I feel vo and the cbp are out to protect the same American interest and that visa will not reissued on a platter of gold in less, than 2 weeks except by divine interventio. The transcript at the Poe would have probably been recorded so for you to tell the cbp you had $7000 and getting to the vo to say you had $14000 without him raising an eye brow?huuumm anyway sha nothing is impossible. If I be you or "she ". I for go back to that Chicago go redeem my image and do unhinnnn to those winchie cbp. Besides if you go thru Boston as planned them fit ask you say why you no go Chicago like before make e no come be say them go send you go Chicago by themselves Abeg no be me talk am ooooo #pickrace# |

[quote author=bigfido post=44864197]In as much as I appreciate the fact that having a good sense of humor can keep the thread lively we should also be careful when making a statement and avoid generalizing issues. Even if there are agents viewing the thread that does not mean that anybody that does not comment on issue is one. I wonder if we expect people to make comments on issues that they are not knowledgeable about. people like us stumbled on this thread when we were already on our way to the missionary journey and we have hung boot so do you expect us to be on the thread all the time? Abeg free us ooo we are not agents and I know guest are always welcome on NL. If some of us were God person no go see water drink for this life. Like somebody said getting a padlock is the only way forward but thank God that is not possible. |
[quote author=Abefeokin post Welcome to the iya Ibeji club.always happy to see a new addition it shows God's faithfulness. Please take care of yourself Vigilante is real ooo but the consolation is that it gets better by the day. Don't try to attend to both at the same time because you may not succeed in calming them at the same time. Do it one after the other it helps you retain your sanity.it has worked for me oooooo. The sight of two wailing babies at the same time can make you go banana if one is not careful. Happy motherhood and enjoy your bundle of joy. |
Na wa for all you agents and "drug dealers" God know the number of your house ooo. I sha hope, say this your medications are for, real meanwhile "buyers beware" |
[quote author=Bisoye82 post=44263844]Wahoo!!!!! Wonderful!!!! you are welcome to the Iya Ibeji club.i hope you are prepared vigilante is very very real oooo.but the Grace of God will see you through.Be strong my dear God will always send help |
Bia, girlloom everybody has been on this your issue since yesterday a part of me says I should advice you not to post an update on this platform anymore. You never can tell who is reading this thread and your descriptions are too vivid it's very easy to guess who you are. I think people have given you enough sincere and matured advice it's now left for you to do the needful. Somebody can know somebody that knows somebody that knows your SIL. Pls don't compound your problems you have enough to deal with already and besides its you marriage we are talking about here. Abeg e don do oooo.Come back home and warm yourself back into your DH heart. |
[quote author=TheLeakyTribe post=43959291 This girls story is a very familiar one. A few years ago my mum had one of these girls fron across the border. One hot afternoon she just disappeared into thin air and they found out she left with all my mums trinkets worth almost a million.. Alas the following morning she came back after the agent that brought her had been arrested. She said she was hypnotized by some guys she met the previous week when mum sent her on an errand across the street.unfortunately we did not act fast so they could not get the things back you know NPF and their egunje syndrome. So please tell your husband to follow up immediately and 'mobilize ' the police. They can be very good at things like that when you 'Mobilize' them. |
[quote author=girlloom post=43963572]my dear you have definitely overstayed your welcome upon all this hassles I can't believe that you can still stay. Abeg do quick and come home. All that said the deed has already been done you have made a lot of mistakes and I pray you learn from them. They say experience is the best teacher.i guess you took JW advice to be civil and ask them politely but considering their antecedent you should have been able to imagin their response. JW gave his advice from a man's point of view but when it comes to in-law issue women are the gurus to follow. Like the Yoruba saying goes when a child does not have a cutlass in his hands he does not ask what killed his father if not it is what killed his father that will also kill him. When you knew you were not ready to leave the house you shouldn't have confronted them. You sef you get mind oooo. Like you were adviced if it's possible just block the SSN and keep quiet about it until you get home. Remember in- laws are people you will live with for the rest of your life.besides men are very emotional when it comes to their family. There is nothing really strange in what you have experienced with those people. When they accommodate you they feel they have done you all the favour in this life. When I went to birth I stayed with a family and I virtualy became the house help. The whole family will wake up eat break fast and dump the dishes when they all leave I will carry my big belle to the kitchen wash all the dishes including the ones from the previous night dinner then clean every where before they come back.this is a family with teenage children but I had already prepared my mind for that. At least I was doing it in return for the small bed in the small 'cabin' they gave me which is not even as big as my BQ back home.but the truth of the matter is what you call a cabin for them is a palace. When my husband came in we just used style look for a comfortable apartment and told them we needed more space. When we were leaving they were almost begging us to stay.i think it's better that way now I can go visiting any time I want to. |
Godmerciesss:[quote author=Godmerciesss post=43653405]My dear sisters I must say that I didn't call anyone an agent. Am just expressing my own Thot as per what I read here sometimes and I never mentioned any dr in particular. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word impossible to owe. But in all my journey in the world of IVF I never owed and was never even given the chance to. So I find it unusual. What if the person owe and gets a BFN will she go back to pay the debt? By the time 2,3 ,4 patients does that don't you think the dr will be forced to close that window or is it that all Nigerians have become so faithful overnight? Anyway I don't expect any dr to give his patients that privilege if he does then he must be very "magnanimous" in all the clinics that I used they write it in black and white that all payments must be made before the transfer. All that said please let's move on and continue to encourage ourselves i believe that this is a place where we can draw strength away from the struggles and pains of this monster called infertility.please don't give up you are in a battle that must be won because Gods word concerning us is NON SHALL BE BARREN So no matter how good we think or hear a dr is please don't throw away that element of God in any treatment. May God grant us all our heart desire. |
Hugging all y beautiful and fruitful waiting mothers that is what I just want to do this hot afternoon. This is my first time of posting here. I just come in here once in a blue moon and luckily am here today. It's nice to see that the tread is active again please let's keep lifting each other's spirit. I've read with keen intreast the on going discussion. Oya all of you collu temper. Trying to conceive in its self can be very frustrating and to add the fact that you feel some dr some where is trying to reap you off can be killing. My sisters please let's take it easy our hormones have a way of flowing the wrong way at times like this. I stumbled on this tread after I got pregnant after two decades of waiting. So you should know where am coming from. I did IVF 8 times in 4 hospitals before God finally answered me . So I know what am talking about. Please when we are going thru this period of waiting let's be careful of our utterances and learn to follow your heart and not the crowd. Sometimes some of the reviews I read here are too good to be true when it comes to IVF.and I am tempted to think that there is a bit of marketing going on. (Just my own Thot ). And I want to boldly say and I say it in capital letters THERE IS NO IVF DOCTOR THAT DOES NOT LIKE MONEY. No matter how nice they appear they are after your Naira they are not out to do you a favour but to render their services and smile to the bank with your Naira God must surely deliver everyone of us from them.so am surprised to hear that somebody is owing a doctor 500k after treatment lai lai it's not possible they will make sure you pay the last kobo before the transfer. I beg let me run to pick my miracles from sky I will continue when am less busy. |
[quote author=LadyGuinivere post=42636089][color=#000099] Sorry i yam not a banker neither hav you tosh my life but am moved by your appeal. I heard that those malams at the airport change $1 denomination for btw 240 and 250 so as a last option if you can't PTA you can change that on your way out just make sure you go to the airport with your Ghana must go to carry the cash and deposit it in your acct when you get to the US then use your card or withdraw in larger denomination latter. Pls make una no ask me kwention ooo I yav not tried it ooo somebody just told me that was what she did last week. |
Apeke abeg shield your sword e don do.u ve made your point and succeeded in driving it home.bulling on the thread is what makes some of quiet even when you have something to say.Uncle olo you sound like somebody who attends one church in Oregun where they take their dictionary to church.#yinmuandpickrace#. [quote author=Apeke1991 post=41856433]Hehe @soft pedal . Said my mind already wasn't here for fight and I never threw jabs at anyone .we need to be careful with the way we talk to people ... Said that already in my first post . I am not here for any intellectual conquest . And I won't take back any of what I have said . |
[quote author=afrobrown2000 post=40342514 Welcome to the twins club exactly this time last year I had my own set. I use to like the same sex for twins but when I had my prince and princess I changed my mind. That's the best combination. Wish you a fun filled vigilante. Make sure you sleep when they are asleep and never panic when they both wake up and cry at the same time that's the joy of twins motherhood |
[quote author=missusadey post=40345810]Congrats dear for the successful entry But please always endeavor to travel clean no need to go with a fake FTF. It can implicate you even while on board in case of any emergency you are on your own since you presented fake FTF. You don't need to part with your hard earn money at the custom if you don't want to. It is your right to travel with as much as you need for your trip so far you declare it. Those custom guys have "ojukokoro" especially when they see you with that much money |
GBU sir, you just spoke my mind. People like me don't like to comment on this forum except its absolutely necessary because some people appear to be the mafias on the thread and scare others away I was trying to be civil in my response so that they will not label me an agent to dr F. I once posted my comment on this issue of dr f because I personally sent him a mail when the issue first came up and he responded to my mail with an explanation but unfortunately the post was deleted by oga juswise for whatever reason I don't know I still want to suggest that those of us that have gone and conquered should please not burn the bridge for those coming behind. It's abso important that we be discreet in our comments so as not to scare people away from the thread. If you like bite me. Me i no kukuma be agent. |
I don't have any issue with people expressing their opinions that is what this forum is meant for. But we should just be careful in doing so.i intentionally did not quote you because I don't want to join issues with you. When the VO talked about knowing bad dr he / she did not mention names so I think it's unfair to assume he was referring to a particular dr if you have not used a dr I don't think you are in a position to make a comment about him. Let people who have done so give their feed back.one man's meat can be another man's poison no bad blood only my one cent . LadyGuinivere: |
Nice to see all the testimonies of safe deliveries . For those seeking VBAC please be careful even if you have been promised one by the doc. You might end up with a CS because most of these dr don't want to take chances so once labour delays they just do a CS sharp sharp and you end up paying more for an unscheduled CS . Please I also notice a trend here that once you have an issue with a dr we tend to bad mouth him at the slightest opportunity. some body presented dr F correspondence and was denied a visa the next thing you come up to say that she was denied because the VO knows that he is a bad dr. Meanwhile many people have presented his correspondence and were granted.somebody just had a baby yesterday and had no complaints about him. I had my babies last year and had no complaint whatsoever. Please let's be careful about our utterances. I ran a service providing biz as well so I know what it is when there is a negative comment about a biz |

olagirl:[quote author=olagirl post=39436980]Hello house I like the recent debate on whether to post Dr's and hospital review or not.Thank God oga juswise finally listened to the voice of wisdom.the first and last time I posted here was when the issue of Dr F was making waves here and I tried to give my first hand info about the issue but unfortunately juswise decided to hide the post for whatever reason.i hope you will not hide this one oooo na only me waka come I no be agent oooo. I had a set of twins and I had to do a cerclage in Naija before traveling. It was removed by the doctor in the theater just before the CS.in order to save cost because if it has to be removed before delivery you will have to pay a fortune they will bill you as if you are having a surgery and your delivery package does not cover this. I used Oakbend and there was no extra charge for the removal. |
olokings:I think Oakbend can still handle a twin pregnancy its only triplets that I'm not sure of |
