Family / Re: 4 Huge Mistakes I Made As A Wife by MirrorMirror: 1:41am On Dec 31, 2014
Number 2 actually caught my attention
2. I didn't set (or enforce) boundaries with my parents............................................

I actually have friends whose marriages are over cos it was important that their parents’ suggestions, methods or advice must be obeyed.

I remember one of them use to say ‘you can only have one dad/mum in life, but u can have more than one spouse if push comes to shove.
The MIL (intentionally or unintentionally) turned the couple against each other with her complaints and bickering.
Now everyone has parted ways with each side feeling my family/parents are superior or better than yours.

To set boundaries with parents, one needs prayers, then find a good time and right/polite but firm approach to state your concerns.

Good attempt

'But needs so much modification -and almost like 'reinventing the wheel' too.

This thing looks like it would move slower than a wheel barrow.

But don't give up.........World famous inventor Thomas Edison had several failed attempts before achieving some of his Great works.
Nairaland / General / Re: My Housewarming And Birthday Celebration (pictures) by MirrorMirror: 12:40am On Dec 31, 2014
Well done and congratulations on your birthday.

For some one who has just finished NYSC, its a good step in the right direction. (Rome wasn't built in a day)

Weather the house is in Katangora, Bukuru, Fiditi or Akpodim as long as it is habitable and among human dwellings, you are a pace setter.

But I think its also important you share with others the things you did
Say
putting money together; how did you raise money
did you join a cooperative? was that any help,
what did you do to make extra cash or was your salary enough?
were you living with family members while you were building?
were you going to site to help with plumbing or carpentry etc
any other

such tips could help others who have some capital and hoping to go into property investment.Remember Rome wasn't.....
Praying for Bigger you! Enjoy

Romance / Re: Reasons You Should Get Married Later In Life by MirrorMirror: 10:43pm On Dec 22, 2014
There is no reason whatsoever for a woman to get married later UNLESS for reasons beyond her control.
NB; definition of LATER is relative.
It is not compulsory for any one to marry

Romance / Re: Reasons You Should Get Married Later In Life by MirrorMirror: 10:39pm On Dec 22, 2014
It depends on what you want out of marriage
or what your number 1 priority is for getting married.
are you looking to get married to share your life, joy, experience. moments with someone else
are you looking to get married for children
or companionship.

what ever your topmost reason, it is neither the best or the worst as personalities differ.

If children top your list please get married on time then. Fertility/conception COULD be an issue, and the earlier you start addressing it the better especially since women have time frame.

If you are getting married for companionship, you may want to delay getting married till all your friends and siblings get married and then when you get lonely you can begin to work towards it.

Personally, I admire ladies who graduated and willingly(not forced) got married in their early to mid twenties

Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by MirrorMirror: 9:49pm On Dec 22, 2014
@mummy Esther.................believe me i understand how u feel

Some people go to Gyneas year in year out and they are told they do not have any fertility problem and yet no pregnancy/child..... Confusing and frustrating

So My prayer is that God will provide the necessary funds that you need to resolve your fertility challenges. Do not relent in praying

Is there any where you can get a loan from or raise money from to do the procedure?..........

Please do not leave your marriage since your husband is not abusive......... hang in there dear.

Aside from procreation, companionship is also a blessing of marriage....cherish what you have.

May the Most High bless you and all those TTC that which you desire.

All the best

RE
Fourcade: After some deliberations as regards the whatsapp group. . .Nairaland members that would like to join the group should drop their numbers here or send a pm to Gozie Diora or Fourcade! grin

The following rules has been put in a place already. . . grin
1. The group is only for francophiles and any one who enters just to make jest of it or discourage others will be ejected.
2. All should know that French is the primary language of the group and therefore should make efforts to type in french no matter how bad.
3. Corrections should be made amicably and friendly debate on french grammar as well as other issues is encouraged.
4. Tribalism, insults and the likes are highly prohibited. Offenders will be ejected.
5. Since it's for the good of all, the task of keeping the group lively is everybody's task, therefore, we should collectively make efforts to make the group a success by bringing in healthy topics from different aspects of life.
6. All can add new members but should be mindful of whom they add to the group. Any added member must be a francophile and must adhere to the rules of the group.
7. Shortened words like "je s8 le b1 garc1 de c7 femme" are discouraged.
8. Members should not take the platform as a new means of flirting or romantic exhibitions. However, healthy friendship/acquaintances is encouraged.
9. Members are expected to show maturity in relating to others. Know when to drop an issue and how to tolerate different personalities without taking anything to heart. It's all for fun and networking.
10. Most importantly, each member is responsible for any thing he/she posts in the group as well as whom he or she decides to add to his or her list. Admin has NOTHING to do with any aftermath of such posting or addition.

I'm sure the above rules will not be task for any of us cause from what I've seen so far on this thread, you are all great people. Thanks.
