Except EKSU jst became so strict on deadlines this year,trust me the reg will continue after 10th. Besides most ppl v nt completed theirs also,so it shld continue after 10th. Try 2 finish up ASAP tho,reg and lectures 2geda isn't cool @ all+its more stressful.

Health was just bout N300 or so last year,dts all u'll need 2 pay @ d clinic. All that bulk of schOol fees u r paying already has medical bills in it. It can never be 15k.. I didn't even end up finishing my health screening last year,too much stress+1month break we had May. They l8r waved it,cuz it was delaying final reg for most ppl.

Zikdik: Can one be screened without paying the tuition fees yet?

U can start the registration/verification and do some other basic things,bt there will get to a point u won't be able 2 continue without ur school fees payment receipt.

Cutiemercie: Please Who knows about Comfort hostel? The guy that introduced me to that place said that I should pay 95000....but I'm scared... I don't want to be duped.

Comfort hostel like I was told when I got in2 school too and like ppl still say,is one of d best hostel for a cheap price..I was told its 65k last year,I dnt knw if they v increased d price or if I was given d wrong info,bt I know pple say its cheap n good,bt u hardly get space!(U'll v 2 tell sum1 living there b4 d person even graduates/leave 2 get a space).I don't know where dt guy wantu fix u there,except he stays there and he's bout packing out. P.S,this my info myt nt be 100% correct cuz its hearsay,so ask other ppl.

Congrats 2 all those who saw their names in the supplementary list. About d accommodation,there's always a place/hostel 4 what ur pocket can afford,it might nt just be what u really want. Remember not to go above ur limits or above what ur parents can afford,just 2 feel among or for whatsoever reason.. Don't 4get,after d house rent,u'll have 2 furnish;and still have 2 pay d house rent yearly together with ur school fees. Having said this,everyone likes comfort,so go for the best bargain ur money can get..some hostel of 70k have d same tin in dt of 80k,search 4 options b4 deciding.. Tho this merging tin wldnt make it easy 4 u guys,most of the good hostels are already occupied.. If u see any new hostel around,start making enquiries.

Congrats! For a 2nd choice candidate,its not a bad option.. God has a reason for everything,His plans are better than our plans,then like ambfitsaint said,if u still have ur heart in studying medicine,u can just take another jamb form and try again.

Predynamix: wat about 5 2 6yrs ssce cert, z it aceptabl in eksu? or nt. Anybdy bein denied admisn bcoz of dat?

I know its max of 4years,I don't know if EKSU really takes d result year as a serious criteria to make ur ssce valid or not,bt I knw most schools esp federal unis do.

Whatever is on ur jamb admission letter,is ur "official" school/course. If its different from what the school offered u or if its a double admission and its not ur school of choice that's on d letter,u have to reject one. Think someone has talked bout the procedure on this forum b4.

Anuoluwap: hello missy, pls after paying the 32k what are we expected to do apart from paying tuition fee. I think after paying 32k there should be some process before paying tuition fee.

Submit ur credentials for verification,try to do that ASAP(there should be ppl in a hall collecting it,prolly main auditorium or oodua hall),cuz without d result clearance,u can't really do anything tangible.

3years is accepted.. I think its 4years+ that isn't valid again. Once u v gained admission with it,u dnt need 2 bother bout the "expiry" date,it doesn't.

Zikdik: Is there gonna any other admission list? Since the registration has commenced, what happens to the not yet admitted peeps?

There should still be a supplementary list,since the reg hasn't ended,it doesn't really matter.. Except they don't wanna take more students bcuz of d merging/overpopulation.

Yh,u'll need 2 pay school fees before screening. School fees payment doesn't take time,its d reg and screening procedure that takes a lot of time and stress,esp if u v problem with ur course/ssce result. It took some pple weeks,took some others months,so it depends;and tins myt be better this session.

tunlex01: the only long run challenge posed by this merger is that the present 100l students will be mobilized first for NYSC before the new set.

There are so many "long run challenges",even short time problems..that's just one of it.

Reg won't end next week,trust me. If u don't go next week,u can go the week after,or the week after that.. If u can't make it next week,its no big deal.

True,accommodation wldnt be easy. U guys better sort out accommodation as soon as resumption date is announced..so u can get the best available one,before its all taken.

Anuoluwap: They don merge una with the current 100l. Lol...if you check the screening letter it was stated there that "resumption for 200-500 level students will be out in due time." Now, the question is why didn't they write resumption for 100-500level students? Can you now see clearly that we don enter am?

They didn't write 100L-500L cuz they didn't want the new intakes to get confused bout their registration date,some might get confused if dey wrote 100L.present 100L shld already count themselves as old students.

And it won't affect the freshers cos their only gonna use at least 3 and a half year in the uni while the only people that will loose are the current 100l. Chai I feel for them oooo

Lol.. It won't affect 200-500? Infact 200-500 are d ones @ lost most,cuz dey r loosing a whole year,2geda with d time they v lost due to the previous school strikes..ask the present 400L when they v been in dt school as a degree student.. Its those coming in after this session that will benefit most,then maybe d new intakes.

We in 100 level re yet to be matriculated, we are yet to write any official semester test or exam. I hasten to know wheda lectures will av to start afresh again.

The merging thing is 99% sure..d remaining 1% is bcuz anytin can still happen,since it hasn't been officially announced. The whole school will start d session again,they should soon release the revised academic calendar.

torres2: Osekita: trekable, at most 15minutes walk to the school, light condition before I left there was poor. Not noisy as satellite. Some areas are prone to water logging.

Phase 1: located after satellite, accomodation affordable (to the best of my knowledge), their light issue is what I can't talk about. But I know that of phase II(so far) to be the worst with exceptions to cases whereby their Landlords are opulent.
Iworoko: daily transportation ranging from 60 to 100 to and fro, proximity to the market place, you live sometimes with older women, men or non student(indigene of the town) in some cases, with exception to new hostel

Things I would advice you to look out for:
1) check for light conditions, make enquiries not from one but a variety of people about their light history. When there is light, it makes you communication accessible by friends and colleague. Don't underestimate the power of eletricity. Don't be deceived by the fact that your hostel has generator. Infact in most cases, it is cheap propanganda.

2)check for water logging: this area aren't known by many though, but fact is especially osekita and school gates where some hostels struggle with water during rainfall, this fact even made me packing from Osekita after my 100level.

3) proximity to school area
4) cut your coat according to you size
5) other facilities like water, proximity to your church fellowship and others.

My advice to fresher is, if you are chanced to be in Ado, come to the school to see things for your self before you finally resume. Make some research, some contact, you coan even start indicating about accommodation you intend to live in, some few weeks to the second semester examination

Disclaimer: not all I wrote concerning those area might be 100% true. It may differ a little because what I wrote above is based on what my friends and course who live around there do say.

U r right,agree with almost evrytin u wrote.. Might just add that the hostels that actually have security are very few..most "big" phaseII hostels nw use phaseI light,and the phaseII landlords are planning 2 get a transformer,so the light situation shld be better..phaseI is very noisy,bt their light is very regular.. With 80k u wld get a good self contain hostel..personally,I'll advise those phaseII hostels that are close to phaseI..its like u r inbetween. If u can get a space @ melodia,u r good to go.

Major difference is uniosun's calendar is very fast,apart frm that they r pretty much the same tin,all d issues @ eksu r there also if nt greater and nt all their courses are accredited yet(new school)+their school fees is twice of what u'll pay @ eksu.

No one is saying trash,there's no need 2 sugarcoat things. Everyone knws change happens evrywere&d school is still developing...that's why we keep saying d VC is trying to make great changes,bt what most pple say here is d present situation,change can take months or years..its better ppl have an idea of what they are getting in2...we are just being honest.
