This is eating me up? Let's remember what the purpose of this site is and now look at what's going on. What's the future of this Forum, Is there hope for a brighter tomorrow? If our own country deny us, then we are forced to invest in other countries. I have a lot to say but I'm completely lacking words. I'm sorry if I sound disappointed however i think it's not too late to make peace one way or the other. I'm just another Proud Nigerian, pls don't let me down Seun and co.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Hurricane Katrina by Missworld(f): 12:53am On Sep 04, 2005
You are missing Florida. Even though the storm was only a tropical storm or category 1 storm when it hit Florida, many people was affected by it. In fact there are some Florida residents without light as of today. My light was out for only 3 days anyways I'm only trying to remind u all of Florida among the Katrina's victims. Nigeria among the helpers? Don't get me wrong but we need to face our more serious problems in that country. We Nigerians need help from every angle especially the Divine intervention.
CareerRe: Can Lawyers Practice Without Lying? by Missworld(f): 9:28am On Sep 03, 2005
To get a precise answer for this, I think that someone should check out the statistics. Something like how many lawyers out of 100 speaks the truth? I'm almost sure that number will not exceed 30 and that's not a good one. So my question is...... Why should we study something that leaves us with no other option but lying most of the time?
Lawyers in the house, pls don't get me wrong cos I still have much love for u all.

SEUN, I embrace your intelligence and efforts in this nairaland but I'm a bit confused to hear that you banned Pintos for his "bye bye" post. I perceive that he was joking around as usual and if that's the case, you suppose to understand better than anyone else on this site. Let's take it from another angle, assuming he was very serious about it, what stops you (the boss) from asking him why he's leaving? Then may be you and other members will be able to convince him to stay instead of chasing an influential member away.
I think if Pintos has concluded to leave, he's intelligent enough to disappear without a word but he posted it for attention if not for fun.
I'm disappointed the way you went about this but we can find a way to solve this problem should it arise again. For now, Is there any remedy for Pintos issue?

Though it's simply unbearable to think about letting go of someone you love but sometimes you just have to let it be. Just take heart and you'll be fine.

Is still a surprise that a fellow guy that has always helped to settle misunderstandings between my girlfriend and I, have turned to be a skeleton hidden in a cupboard.
And therein lies your problem. What kind of misunderstanding do you have that you two cannot seat down and sort out? Letting a third party in, see the result? Life is learning. We all make mistakes. We are foolish when we don't learn from our mistakes.
Sometimes there's nothing wrong with third parties. It could be that love has blinded both of the lovers or maybe they are too stressed to think clearly there, third parties can be a great help especially someone that you trust. It's a betrayal that can happen even without involvement of the so called best friend. "Such is Life" but we shouldn't get demoralized when things like that happen, rather let it be a lesson well taught and grasped as we prepare our body & soul for the worst.

Nonsense and ingredience. Typical warped female way of thinking. So your boyfriend cheats, the best form of revenge as far as you are concerened is to also cheat. So who loses? you or him? angry If you female librationists like it or not, it has always been a man's world. I as an individual can forgive a man cheating, a woman cheating, is just damn unacceptable.

As the Yorubas would say, Baba, baba gbogbo aiye ni. And therein lies the truth. A man can just look at a woman and see her as a sex object. Majority of women have to get emotionally involved before jumping into bed with another man. The emotional part is the reason why you girls love pre-intimacy so much. Its all in your mind.

SO if your boyfriend cheats, kick his ass. You are worth much more than that. Dont demean yourself, don't devalue your body by joining him in the atrocity.
I partially agree with you but I completely disagree where you said that ".....it has always been a man's world" No way! it's only a man's world when you guys are playing games, manipulating minds, lying through your teeth, cheating, etc. Wait till you find the right person then you will experience the power of love. With or without even knowing it, you will let her be your queen now tell me how it's your world in such Paradise? Thanks for the advice about kicking his ass and not devaluing our body. I can't understand why some ladies revenge in such a way but as for me, I will swallow it and move on.

RomanceRe: How to Treat a Girl: Macho Man or Mr. Nice? by Missworld(f): 5:46am On Jul 14, 2005
Like hot-angle said, just be yourself. Let the lady be what she is: the crown of your life. I appreciate a man that will treat me like a lady and that's why I love the way U.K guys treat their ladies. From the hand kiss which shows admiration to the opening of the doors. All these can be unnecessary but I cherish honesty most.

RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Has been Unfaithful to Me by Missworld(f): 5:12am On Jul 14, 2005
I'm a lady but I hope you gentlemen won't mind.
Well if I'm in you situation which I've been into before, I don't have to hear from any source. As soon as I sensed an unusual motions in the relationship, I will speak my mind before any other kiss. Honestly, if someone that I love decided to "cheat"/ betray me for whatever reason, I will forgive the person as I get ready to move on to look for someone that could love and cherish me. The best we can do is to become friends and nothing more because there's nothing else there for me not even the trust. Therefore, take it easy, make sure that you've heard right then carefully make your decisions because you won't want to live in regrets. Besides, there are many diseases out there and you don't wanna be a victim either!

FamilyRe: Is Marriage Compulsory? by Missworld(op): 1:52pm On Jul 12, 2005
That's a good point CalabarMan. why is it that some people especially Nigerians feel like marriage is an obligation that has to be fulfilled?. They seems to be under pressure when they don't get married and have children like their mates. For example, my friend who is now 29 feels like marriage is his next step and there's nothing wrong with that but the problem is that he is more focused in getting married than finding the right companion. Do you identify this problem with me? Why does it have to be this way? Is it our culture? what is it? What is it that pushes our young men and women into something that could cause frustration and even early death?
IslamRe: God and Allah: Are they the same? by Missworld(f): 11:48am On Jul 02, 2005
I think and believe that God and Allah are the same. Just like we have many different languages that we can't understand so do muslims have their own God, Allah, and because we can't understand it doesn't mean that Allah is different.
FamilyIs Marriage Compulsory? by Missworld(op): 11:41am On Jul 02, 2005
Is marriage an obligation?

Even though it seems like marriage is an obligation that we have to fulfill, I personally disagree with every bit of that idea. Maybe I'm wrong and that's why I need to hear from you.

Justdman does it change the kind of person you are when you tell people what they want to hear?
Missy, it doesn't but sorry should come from the heart and not lips

Even the one from the lips has an effect.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Women with both Beauty and Brains by Missworld(f): 3:49pm On Jul 01, 2005
What do you guys consider as beauty and ugly?
We all have different tastes just like "they" said, " one man's trash could be another man's treasure". Talk about women with brains, we usually recognize people with brains when we see and hear them. Who doesn't want a woman with brains? Even illiterate admire them and wishes to have them. The difference is that the so called ambitious and educated man has a better chance of getting closer to her.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Do Real Men Cry? by Missworld(f): 3:34pm On Jul 01, 2005
I can cry 5 times a day as a result of a bad dream, bad thought, bad feelings etc. There's nothing wrong with my man crying but I really don't want it to disturb my hearing. Anyone can cry 100 times a day around me as long as I won't hear it. Man are human and they are bound to cry both private and in public. I personally will prefer everyone to cry silently especially men, may be with a little screems here and there but not like the screems when women are crying in the Nigerian movies.

*** Beacuse I said I don't want to hear doesn't mean that I don't care.
