HacheNoire:

When ranching was suggested via FG support, same called people called it Fulanization and killed the idea

It was a good initiative that was killed with tribal and religious bigotry.

If plan had been implemented then, herders would have been caged by now and left alone to feed their live stock. Accountability would have been too notched and same time revenue generation for states.

But hate does not make most Nigerians see.

Why was the FG adamant to site the ranching project in states that were not traditionally known for cattle rearing? E.g north central and south East. Can't the ranching be done in the the north west and cattles transported to the south for sales? In fact, the beef can be processed into canned beef and sold to the south and neighbouring countries (Chad, Niger). Talk about comparative advantage and vertical integration

Hi,
Jumia pickup location is different from Jumia office, moreover all Jumia pickup locations have a portable indicator at the from of their shops.

Also, based on communication structure, you're meant to get a phone call from the pickup center upon arrival of your package at the pickup center.
I think the message you got from Jumia may not be a pickup message or your package has not actually arrive at the pickup location.
The phone number of the pickup location is always attached to the pickup address during the selection of the pickup location online. You could go back and check.

I often use the service very well and I am not a Jumia staff.
Pickup location is often used in other to mitigate the overall cost of product. It is wise to use a pickup location you know very well.

Something like this ought to be an enquiry not an avenue to nail the e-commerce entity.

Anyway, sorry for the stress. I am 101% sure that you will get a call from the pickup location on arrival of your package otherwise their KPI would be affected.

No phone number was attached

Pay on delivery would have saved you all that hassles. It's 1k included if you select pay on delivery. At least, with that, you will be given an agent number that will come deliver the package to you.

I usually select pay on delivery to avoid looking for an imaginary office. You were trying to cut cost. But I hate stress. In your next order, select pay on delivery so they will assign an agent to deliver your package rather than going to pick it up at their office which you will still end up paying transport to go pick it up. That will save you all that stress.
I've used direct delivery method before. That is, an agent came to deliver the package to the address I gave on the website. I was just trying out the pick-up center thing for experience sake, not to cut cost.
Business / Re: How Jumia Pick-up Stations Help Customers Save More Money by mistarsam(m): 9:35pm On Dec 09, 2021
kingdomgate:
The challenges against the advancement of online shopping culture in African states cannot be overemphasized. To get more consumers onboard, e-commerce players must continuously remain innovative. Such innovation must be that which encompasses proximity, ease, cost effectiveness, local content, and a blend of delivery culture that tolerates the touch and feel which the population is familiar with.

Over the years, Nigeria’s e-commerce market leader, Jumia, has deployed its JForce and logistics partnerships to reach rural and secondary cities across the country. And more recently, the company is taking it further by adding more pick-up stations at strategic locations which helps take delivery services closer to consumers in secondary and rural settlements.

Florence Omobude, Owner of Survey Innovations is one of the agents leading the initiative in Benin, Edo State. Explaining the impact and benefits of her pick-up station, Florence said it not only brings e-commerce services closer to customers, it also helps them save more.
“The fact that my pickup station is here at Oliyah makes it more convenient for consumers. They don't have to go to Ugbowo, Sapele road, Ekenwa Road to pick up their items anymore. They just have to walk in here at Oliyah to pick up their items. And for every item they pick up, Jumia pays me for it; and it saves consumers costs on delivery,” she explained.

Florence’ business story is one that tells both the market drive and empowerment impact of Jumia initiatives. Her journey with the company started as a JForce agent four years ago. “My journey with Jumia started as a JForce Agent in 2017. Here in Benin, I help people to place orders on the Jumia site and get paid at the end of the month,” she said.

In 2020, she got the opportunity to upscale and earn more from her relationship with Jumia. “So last year, when the opportunity came to partner with Jumia and own a pickup station using my office space, I was so excited and grabbed the opportunity. So this year in May, in Oliyah here, I opened my pick-up station with Jumia.”

Jumia had recently expanded its number of pick-up stations across the states of the federation in a bid to take e-commerce services closer to customers . The initiative, which covers rural and urban locations, thrives on partnership with SMEs to use their office space as pick-up stations. This allows customers to walk in and pick up their items, while the partners also have more income.

PeaceJoyLove:

I really didnt want to respond, but hmmm. I got the "go ahead" to.
Max, you are right. What you said here is the truth. Nigerian and West African Pastors do not know the difference btw their personal money and church (public) money. Even when running charity organizations. Efe Soje, the ex super eagles and one of his siblings are presently in Jail (maybe he is out now I cant say) for this reason. Sunday Adelaja does only his shakara in Nigeria. He dear not perform that rubbish in Ukraine. Dem no born am well. He pays tax there. Putin doesn't send anyone, you want to preach in Russia, be ready to pay your tax. Gbam! And you dear not make noise and disturb the town. All churches are soundproof. But here, they will put a loud sound system on top of the roof and disturb the peace of the city. Muslims are worse. Every 5am they start making noise oooo. Very irritating thing. I watch out very well where I want to live. First, I look for any mosque around. No matter how tiny it is. No way. They will put loud speaker outside and disturb my sleep every morning. And it's so frustrating.

But saying Adeboye picks money from the purse of the church, is funny. Hahahha. I dont know oooo. And that of Oyedepo. Hmmm. You.know Oyedepo is a master when it comes to Leadership and getting projects done (he is an architect). You know Oyedepo is a big time money multiplier. His two universities are rated very high. At least, you can see the good he is doing. Though, I dont agree with all he does.

Again, it seems everytime I talk you always come after Adeboye cos I said he is Daddy GO. Lol. Truly, if you know me...you will understand I dont give a damn about any man of God. But Adeboye moved me with his kind of faith and his action after his child died. See eh! It is hard to lose a son, not to talk of a promising son. Bro, it is hard for any 70+ man or woman to lose a child. Bros, leave Adeboye alone oooo. I am not even a member of his church. I do not go to his church. That he has access to church money and he uses it for himself, I dont know. And I doubt it. Why? Adeboye is not poor ooo. That man was almost a professor before he dropped his pen as a university lecturer. Adeboye has solved many mathematical expressions which he won awards for. He is a real mathematician. So, dont mess with him. He was not poor ooo.

That Adeboye sent his children all abroad to study is not a surprise because he has told the story how he lost a scholarship to do his phd in the UK before he did it in Nigeria. So, the interest to study abroad is in him. I am.just pointing out sensitive and logical reasons to ponder on so you can rethink all these things you always say.

TB Joshua is humble. Adeboye is extra humble. Adeboye's own is from another world. You know TB Joshua is not that educated, but what I saw in that man is determination. How he re packaged himself and started speaking clean English. Hmmmm! But in Adeboye's case, that man is a top mathematician. Adeboye is book. Adeboye is a special brain. Yet, he talks so gentle. TB Joshua too. Lol.

Bro, I understand you. You are right about how most pastors handle money here. But I think you should be cautious of how you attack these people.

This is very funny. And see, I pardon you cos I know you are a very young man. You did not get my message because you are young and I will not say much. Those who knew Joshua and watched his TV programs when he first started will just be laughing at you. However, those videos are not available again. Listen to his English then too. Lol. One thing is that Joshua is gifted and smart. Very brilliant. For FFK to call him his friend, bro...Joshua is smart. Bro, let us close it like this. See eh! Experience cannot be overlooked. There are clues in what I wrote. And those who are sensitive and matured already know my position on TB Joshua. But like I said I am not going to say good or evil about the man since he is dead. But if you are fortunate to lay your hands on one of his videos when he first started, you can analyze him very well. You dont need to use any spiritual gift to make any conclusion. Bro, God bless!
For the sake of those of us born yesterday, can you highlight some of those awkard things you observed in those videos you are referring to? Thanks in advance.

You will not see all these cretins claim Maitama, Lekki, GRA, VI, VGC, and Ikoyi as territory, It is always places like Ikorodu, Ojuelegba, Ekosodin, Mushin and Bariga.

This feud is enough sirs!!

please all parties should sheath their swords. There are times we do overreact to issues; it is essentially good we utilize maturity to our argument. Let's continue sharing information to shun cultism which is the primary reason for this thread. We don't need too many frivolities and disregard to pass comments against another.

100% correct. While scrolling through my most recent comments on this thread, I realized that I could have applied more decorum while reacting to contrasting opinions. Some of my comments, though made in the mood and spirit of anti-cultism, were a bit emotional.

This is just a pointer to the fact that achieving perfection in social interactions with fellow Homo sapiens is a tall order.

This submission is in no way a pass for subtle encouragement of cultism under the guise of philosophical posturing and mumbo jumbo.

Chris 525 and kingthreat, please let the matter slide. Both of you have been great contributors to this thread, though I've had cause to disagree with some of your viewpoint from time to time.

Clearly one of you started the controversy but apportioning blames won't solve anything. For the sake of the mission and vision of this thread, which is to discourage cultism, please sheath your swords.

Thanks, gentlemen.
