Her outfit is not bad. It makes the students to find her friendly and have fun with her.

But let's not overhype it. She wearing the uniform is just for political clout outside the school. School uniform is not what inspires students. Which alumnus wore the uniform to inspire her?

Make good policies and be a good example among politicians, the students will be inspired. Execute a project in the school and give financial support to the poor ones in the school, the students will be inspired.

So, without the uniform, the students will not believe she was a student of the same school? I really want to know how and why the uniform is an inspiration to the students. What do they accept because of the uniform that they would have rejected without the uniform? I repeat, her outfit is not bad but it is not an inspiration.

You lots will always find something negative to say in the midst of positivity. Who says she won't do the needful? She has given them a lot of inspiration for this singular gesture of hers. She has made the students to have the belief that they can achieve their dreams if only they work hard. And that the future is Great. Not all politicians are as bad as u portray them in this country pls
Romance / Why Can't We Have Same Climate Throughout? by MisterBanny(m): 8:34am On Mar 01
Why Did GOD Decide that Some countries should be HOT and others Should be COLD?

The current heatwave in this country is quite alarming. We can't sleep at night due to the heat. And to make matter worse, there is no light. We were told by the Minister of Power than some gas facilities that supply power were vandalized, reason for the shortage of power supply in the country.
How many households can afford fuel or gas to power their generator at Night to use their fans or air conditioners?

In other countries of the world, people there are crying of Excess Cold at this time. You may argue that same people are also not comfortable with the cold there, but is cold not better than Heat? When you're cold, you can cover yourself, bath warm water and drink tea but in the case of heat, there's almost no solution.
I understand the climate of some countries. But my question is, why can't God make the climate and weather conditions the same throughout?

I am open for enlightenment pls.
Thanks

Always Drinkwater!

A sachet of Pure is now #50

A bag is is #500

If u want to drink Borehole water, there is no light to pump the water. If u must pump with the Generator, fuel is expensive and if u have money to buy, the queue at the fuel station is discouraging.
We are faces with many challenges here

[quote author=NemoDatQuod post=128504187]Thank you @guobe.

There was this user earlier on @Mbabula who said he knows a mama who would benefit. If you can send the last one to the mama he knows, that will be good.

@guobe.
I want to thank you immensely. It is men like you who continue to demonstrate that we have decent humans in our country. A stranger gives another stranger money to give to other strangers and he discharges that with integrity.

You did it with integrity. Thank you.

When you are done? I would like us to do a final one. This time let's give N10K to twenty guys, totalling another N200K.

My only criteria is that they should be twenty guys on here on Nairaland and they must be guys who have not used words of insult or ethnic bigotry against anyone else on here.

I will also send you money as a thank you from me to you.

Let me know when you are ready to begin again.

Again, If possible, let's have this conversation through email. I have not received any email back from you yet.

Nigeria needs u to become her leader. God heal you. Though I haven't benefited yet, but I know God will touch u soon to help an orphan

Politics / Nigerians Are Suffering by MisterBanny(m): 2:03pm On Feb 21
Nairaland family, I can't seem to understand what's happening any longer. People are dying on a daily basis. I don't know how widows, orphans, the aged ones without children, and the Jobless ones are coping in this hard times. Since I was born, I have never seen something as bad as this. My heart is troubled. Every night I go to bed, I am unable to sleep due to the thought of what I would eat the next day. No parents to run to for help, no elder one to support, no good job. Even prisoners are feeding better than most of us not in prison.
We said Tinubus govt would be better than Buharis but it's now worse than ever.
All the prayers we've been praying, is it that God isn't hearing us? Does God take pleasure in seeing His children suffer? I'm tired and fed up already. Sometimes, I wish God could ask us before creating and bringing us into this world.
I need Help to survive now please my people

Politics / Re: Has Any Nigerian President Ever Resigned? by MisterBanny(m): 10:47am On Feb 20
Yujin:

Wrong answer. Non of them were elected presidents. They were all military men who got to the seat of power through unconventional means.
In the history of the evil contraption, no single President or Senator has ever resigned for any reason. Only one minister has ever resigned but note that ministers are appointed not elected.
In Nigeria, politicians occupy positions of power to complete their tenures and never to provide solutions to the teeming problems of the people. After Nigeria breaks, the emerging countres must learn never to allow the same things repeat in their various countries.

God bless you Sir. You're a bunch of intellectual. Apt answer

Politics / Has Any Nigerian President Ever Resigned? by MisterBanny(m): 9:09am On Feb 20
The Nigerian President, by constitution, is the Chief security officer of the country. This means that, he has all the armed forces at his disposal and has the sole power to deploy them to any troubled area of the country. It also means that the security of lives and properties of the citizens is his responsibility.

Also, the President is the Chief Economic Planner. He comes up with economic policies that should be able to better the lots of the common Man, to make medium and small scale businesses to Thrive.

The above are the two Major functions/Duties of the Nigerian President. A country whose Citizens are not safe and secured can never thrive economically. A country where Traders can not travel without fear of being kidnapped, a country where criminals, Bandits, insurgents and Fulani herdersmen are having a field day without the swift intervention of those who are meant to protect us, a country where businessmen and common individuals cannot go about their normal day to day business activities cannot flourish economically.
Nigeria, at the moment is bleeding. The citizens are weeping, we can't afford a three square meal to eat, undergraduates are dropping out of school due to high tuition fee, house rents cannot be paid, the prices of commodities continue to skyrocket while salaries remain the same. The rich and the poor buy commodities from same market and the poor man appears to be the most affected of these harsh economic policies of the government. Naira has lost its value due to the inflation. The inflation is not just a creeping or galloping inflation, but a Hyper-inflation which is so bad.
Amidst all these chaos and uncertainties, it is obvious that the president has no clearcut economic policies that would transform the economic fortunes of the country. He also cannot guarantee our safety. It's really very disheartening to say the least.
Should a president not resign for his inability to do all these? I understand that Power can be so sweet and no Politician can just resign and own up for his incompetence or inability to solve these problems.
I'm therefore compelled to ask this, has any democratically elected president of this country resigned before?
Did any Head of State resign during that Era?
I'm not asking if Some Heads of states had been overthrowned before by coup de'tat or any other means. I mean resigning voluntarily or by compulsion of any kind.
