Felabrity: A lot can happen in 4 years
His 4 years will definitely not be useless as APC 12 years with nothing to show except more hardship and insecurity Obi was stoned when he went for campaign for his second term as governor! It was Ikemba Ojukwu that guaranteed his second term with abeg! He couldn't do anything in his first 4 years in a state as small as Anambra, is it Nigeria with diverse cultures, terrorism, and multi religion that he will do anything? |

Politics › Re: Why Do Some People Go Berserk When You Say “vote Wisely”? by Misterone: 3:08pm On May 10 |
Ofunaofu: As the 2027 general election approaches, one of the most commonly used phrases among Nigerians, especially voters...is “Vote wisely.”
Yet, the phrase is often misconstrued as an attack on a particular candidate. In fact, many Tinubu/APC supporters seem to interpret it as a direct jab at Tinubu, reacting hysterically and launching venomous verbal attacks at anyone who says it.
Ironically, if “Vote wisely” sounds offensive to someone, perhaps they should ask themselves why it is because it's the campaign slogan of one of the most dullest aspirant in the coming election. It doesn't make sense at all! |
Politics › Re: A Full Tanker Of Fuel Was 8m In 2023 Now It's 68m by Misterone: 2:46pm On May 10 |
Westman001: How does that even make sense? There's extortion in this whole fuel pricing in Nigeria. Because it's not even economically making sense.
Tinubu made everything worse. I'm still saying it and it's just the fact. The way he came about the removal of fuel subsidy gave room for those cabals to extort the nation. They were the one that decided what the price would be and it was over 200% raise.
Cos tell me, it wasn't like that when Jonathan removed it. It was Jonathan and his cabinet that decided the price. It was from like #65 to #120 then. They carried out proper feasibility study, came up with a price for the whole nation, Jonathan came out and announced that the fuel subsidy has been removed and this is the new price.
But Tinubu, without not even entering the office, announced the price before sitting with his cabinet. The cabal used that opportunity and gave us an extortionist pricing . Different price for different zone. Everything scatter.
What Tinubu has caused this country would take decades to amend Your talk doesn't make sense! Tinubu did what? What is the actual price of PMS? Or you don't want to pay the actual price? Who will pay the balance? Are people in Togo, Ghana, Benin etc not paying the actual price? are they not citizens of their countries too? Oga, if Nigeria tire you, japa! |

Magnetic010: not a jeep it’s the saloon version the suv is rx…I feel like we are missing each other by just a fraction yes something positive can be done on the land but what if the person is in desperate need of money like an emergency situation-at that point cultivating on the land will not even be an option Oga, you're not getting my point. My point is " no one will sell a land just because of a plate of food or just because he wants to buy food. People don't sell land because they're hungry but because they want to do tangible things. |
Politics › Re: Nigerians Now Selling Their Lands, House, Property To Feed - MC Apple Lee by Misterone: 5:11pm On May 08 |
Magnetic010: While you might be right but you are neglecting a few things especially regarding farming- these is not crop you cultivate that won’t take at least 3 months to mature, so let’s assume this person is a family man with kids in secondary and tertiary school- he needs to pay schools, maybe house rent too, feed his family, also meet up to expectations from his extended and his wives family? You see how something even as absurd as that is possible.
I have a friend who sold his Lexus es350 last year, not to japa, not to start business but because things had gone bad and he isn’t they type to pick up the phone and beg anyone- Ps he is married with kids Oga you got my point of view wrong. I used the word rice and beans not to denote planting rice and beans but that something positive can be done on the land to provide food on the table. Also, your friend that sold his lexus jeep was not because he had no food to eat but most likely because of his children school fees, house rent etc. I stated this earlier. Also, perspective matters. A lexus jeep in someone else hands may be Uber, Airport taxi, etc. |
Politics › Re: Nigerians Now Selling Their Lands, House, Property To Feed - MC Apple Lee by Misterone: 12:26pm On May 08 |
These people will never stop! Putting false narratives on the net, thinking it will sway voters! Funny people 😄 No one sells land to feed! That's a big lie! Go and check what they bought after selling those land! Most likely luxury items! People sell land to carry out positive or negative business like setting up a business, travelling abroad, paying for medical bills, paying for schools, etc but not to buy rice and beans. Farming on that land can provide the rice and beans. |

Car Talk › Re: I Never Knew Owning A Car In Nigeria Was This Expensive Until I Calculated Every by Misterone: 11:49am On May 06 |
ridevendor: Honestly…
I used to think people were exaggerating when they complained about maintaining a car in Nigeria.
Until I sat down one day and calculated everything properly.
And I won’t lie… I was shocked.
Let’s Break It DownOga, stop buy 2nd hand 2nd hand and you'll see that this your thesis does not hold
This is just an average car owner trying to maintain a decent vehicle.
Not even luxury.
Fuel
Depending on movement: ₦10,000 – ₦30,000+ weekly
And if you move around a lot? Even worse.
Maintenance
This one humbles people fast.
* Oil servicing * Brake pads * Suspension * Tyres * Battery
One small issue can suddenly become:
> ₦80k > ₦150k > ₦300k
Just like that.
Nigerian Roads
This one deserves its own section honestly.
Bad roads damage:
* Tyres * Shock absorbers * Alignment * Underbody
Sometimes it feels like the road is fighting the car personally 😅
Other Hidden Costs
People forget:
* Car wash * Parking * Insurance * Documents * Traffic stress * Unexpected repairs
Everything adds up quickly.
WHAT SURPRISED ME MOST
I finally understood why many people now:
* Use Bolt more * Rent cars occasionally instead * Or delay buying another vehicle entirely
Because owning a car in Nigeria today is almost like managing another responsibility on its own.
THEN I UNDERSTOOD SOMETHING
A lot of people complain about:
* Car rental prices * Transport prices * Driver costs
But after seeing what car owners spend regularly…
I started understanding the business side better.
Especially for operators managing multiple vehicles.
MY HONEST OPINION
At this point, reliability matters more than “forming”.
I’d rather use:
* A well-maintained car * With peace of mind
Than force luxury and end up stranded somewhere.
LET’S DISCUSS
Car owners here:
What shocked you most after buying your car?
* Fuel? * Maintenance? * Nigerian roads? * Spare parts?
Or do you think people are still exaggerating?
FINAL THOUGHT
Owning a car in Nigeria is no longer just about buying the vehicle…
The real challenge starts AFTER purchase.

DomPerignon: Obi is about to pack his kaya again and is most likely heading to ZLP .
This is coming after Kwankwasso is insisting that there must be primaries in the NDC to determine who will be the party flag bearer to which Kwankwasso says he is hell bent on contesting and not in anyway in support of a consensus candidate and neither is he ready to be any one's running mate.
Obi has up till Friday this week to move to ZLP.
Its time the National Assembly pass a law to limit how many parties any politician can jump to within one calendar year and make it illegal for any politician registered with any party to decamp within one year of an election cycle. Romance › Re: The Virginity Question - A Truth Most Men Are Afraid To Discuss by Misterone: 11:41am On May 04 |
marcusverum: When a woman marries as a virgin it benefits both her and her husband.
She has no comparison. She has no craving rooted in memory. Her loyalty is not divided by experience.
As a man you have a choice. You can seek a woman you can build with from a clean foundation. Or you can seek a woman who comes with history and start wondering why peace is hard to find at home.
This is not about judging women. It is about understanding what you are choosing and accepting the full weight of that choice. There is no neutral ground. Every decision has a consequence.
It is supposed to be value in exchange for value. Aura for aura.
Does a woman's past affect her ability to be a loyal wife? Oga, everything should not be about sex! In marriage, sex is not the most important thing. Therefore, it should not be the basis for marriage. Virgin or not, only an insecure man will use virginity as a yardstick for marriage |
