The mods should this to front page cc ishilove rocktation.
topic is interesting.
I think the sudden increase in runs girls has made it difficult for many to settle down. Also, men are unnecessary weary and cautious of getting involved with a random lady out there.

thanks for this thread.

please i need your assistance in another area. i studied petroleum engineering and graduated 4 years ago.

all these while i have been working in telecomms. i recently got an invite from an oil firm for 2 weeks ( i asked for the time so i can prepare aince it's been a while i did anything oil & gas).

now my dilemma is that the insider that pushed my cv told me i will be given a basic test on PE and he won't be able to get samples for me.

it's been 4+ years since i graduated and i'll be doing a lot of reading to get myself back and it won't be possible for me to do that because of my current job.

if you can help me with a link or sample (if you have any) of the kind of questions. i don't need answers, just questions related to PE usually asked on entry level tests. i will be very grateful

that way i can quickly practice on the necessary areas instead of going through the whole books. and you know how diverse the course is.

thanks.
i don't ve a past question but PE past ques for revolves mainly around reservoir engrg. Revise your 300 level reservoir engrg course i guess u r good to know

I am highly disappointed with the composition of GMB after all the noise that the composition of the committee will be mot technocrats.
What are the likes of Kingibe, Shayaga and Sylva doinf in the list? If this is the change we are expecting, then I fear for this country.
It is highly disappointing. GMB's first step and he erred.

dear sir, am studing petroleum egineering and i want to go into drilling , am learning bore hole drilling also BUT am confused in some areas like....Will learning bore hole drilling add anything to my field ...and ...2..
..i am in 300L and been 19yrs and been in 2.2 now as cgp due to problems ,what are my chances of securing a job in the industry after 5yrs in the university as a 2.2 holder although i have plans of doing msc after school...3...am good in writing but i want to pursue my career now in petroleum engr but am scared when i see people sharing their experience about how many years they have spent unemployed..what should i do now because i hate anything that will make me to regret in life...
I'm not sir xfire but I can help.
Drilling is part of petroleum engineering. However borehole drilling is different from well drilling. I won't advise you to stop learning borehole drilling as that can spin money if you want to go into self-employment.
Your chances are brighter with a 2.1 in pet engrg. A 2.2 will limit your chances drastically. Remember that pet engrg has somewhat limited you to the oil industry alone. You are still in 300 level. Why not work hard to achieve a 2.1?

My 2 cents pending xfire's response.

With a first class in agricultural engineering, what's the way forward? Search for a job or go for a masters in mechanical/petroleum engineering.
I just feel the 'agric' in my engineering course may provide some limitations.

U act like Nigerians are the only arrogant ones

I have been discriminated for just being Nigerian without pple knowing who i really am

I remember when I and my kenyan friend were discussing with one Cameroonian B1tch, the cameroonian girl said a Naija slang and I was like u Naija girl playfully. .And she was like pls, pls am not Nigeria in disgust! that was rude

Ghanaians also think they are the most well mannered pple on earth especially the women. .every little thing upsets them

Africans in general are very proud!
I believe you and I 'liked' your comment. You are an authority on matters like this. Been following your threads.

I was enjoying dis write up until I came to having nice grade. Not everyone must necessarily graduate with a first class or 2.1 cos not everyone got the brains for it and some others really tried but could not make it and no matter what advice you give people are going to keep coming out with 2.2. the fact that u made a good grade and work in a big firm does not give u the right to write someone off from working in a big firm because he didn't make a 2.1 because you are not God and the destiny of a person does not belong to you. You people working in big firms should stop discouraging others with this your misleading write ups. So should I give up hope in life cos I couldn't make a 2.1? Am a proud 2.2 chemical engineering graduate not because I didn't study but the grades were not forth coming as I expected but I know my worth and my destiny won't be determined by the grades I graduated with. Instead of idolizing 2.1 and making it look like the guarantor of a bright future, encourage students to be the best they can be wherever they find themselves and in whatever they do cos not everybody will make 2.1 eventually. Thank you.
Lol!
Be sincere. If you have a child in the university, will you advise him/her to graduate with any grade since it does not matter. Won't you advise him to graduate well?
How has the OP belittled 2.2 grads?
So because you graduated with 2.2, you will advise your children to graduate with 2.2 too.
FYI, this advice is for students still studying in school, not graduates.

This thread makes front page again (post Tsunami). Wow. I started this thread not know I was going to impact on lives to this extent. I just wanted to contribute my window's mite.
Thanks to all those that have motivated, appreciated and encouraged me one way or the other. I am yet to be criticized or discouraged by anyone on Nairaland. It's quite unusual, and I am grateful. Even Seun now follows me. I'm honoured.

I have been inactive for a while, bugged down with work and other life necessities. But I promise to be back and better! Lots of lessons to share...

I also like to say a big thank you to all those that have kept the thread alive...bigdreams, darellrivers, nabsprada, 2sexy1, crudedude, McWhillion and a host of others too numerous to mention.

Cheers....

PoliticsThe Lies Against Fashola/inec On Igbo Pvc's In Lagos by Mixty(op): 3:20pm On Feb 08, 2015
I have to open this against the lies and deceits of a few in Nairaland that claim that PVC's of Igbo's are being intentionally withheld by Fashola, as if INEC handed the PVC's to the state government for distribution.

This is a grand deception by a few disgruntled elements. I know many igbos and Niger Deltans that have collected their PVC in Lagos. Besides, the percentage collection in Lagos is less than 50%. Those yet to collect spreads across all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria. I know so many hardcore APC Yorubas and Hausas that are yet to get their PVC's. One went yesterday and was told to come back on Wednesday. So are Yorubas suppose to go creating topics asking Fashola to release their PVC's?

Please, let's be reasonable. If you have six more weeks to go and get your PVC. The logistics issues earlier encountered was not Fashola's fault. Fashola does not distribute PVC's.

It's hard for government to save in times of plenty in a democracy. The opposition will accuse you of not doing anything to help the people.
Not quite.
Didn't OBJ save in his tenure? Besides, what have they done with the money that has supposedly been used to 'help the people'?

Please, help me attend to this guys...
The right answer is "By how many years am I older than you?"

"What's our age difference?" "What's the difference in/between our ages?" and "Do you know the difference in our ages?" are not the exact translation of the sentence, though they are grammatical correct.
