It means that you were successful in your interviews, and it is usually a section in which the top HR guy in the firm will brief you about the offer and why you should accept the offer. Sometimes, medical follows immediately if you accept the offer (like in my friend's case).
Any other knowledgeable person can contribute.

With a first class degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable university in Nigeria, an MSc from Heriot Watt, and a quality internship experience in some servicing companies, I thought the world was on my shoulders. I have tried to join a major oil producing/servicing company in Nigeria, but to no avail.
It's also funny that most of my colleagues who also made first class are not working in the oil industry, more than a year after service.

While I was a student, I used to see many oil and gas vacancies for graduates, but the number has reduced drastically. I will like to ask: why are oil and gas jobs very scarce in recent times?

I am also like the op. Unfortunately, I wish I can do a little more chasing. Sometimes, the ladies just want to see a bit of seriousness from the guy, before acceding. It will hurt a lady's ego to accept immediately and the guy shows little interest thereafter. Sometimes, the ladies just need a little more reassurance before saying yes.

Also, developing interest may be gradual for some ladies. It may have to take a little push for some ladies to develop interest in a guy.

But I do agree that it's disrespectful for ladies to cancel a date or "forget" a date without informing the guy prior to that time. It's simply not right, and if the ladies has an iota of interest in you, she won't do so.
