papadjaji: We have heard so much about the NTEL launch but no news about it in Lagos. Well I can tell you for a fact that you can now get your sim in Lagos. Just find your way to the 17th floor, Nitel House, VI. You can ask for Clems. You do not need to have a reserved number. The network is in major parts of Lagos. In my home location, the network bar icon shows no bar, but I can even stream movies. Let alone when you have network service where you are. I plan say goodbye to dstv by getting an android box for the family. That way, N10k unlimited data will be put good use.
Where is ur home location? I got the sim and it was a case of "No Service" ard idimu in spite of a guy saying he used it along that route. Imagine even mtn that is yet to commence 4g is already showing 4g network when you search for network providers from your 4g capable phones. It is hard to understand the level of incompetence in this country, why cant we just get it right? The poo is lying somewhere after the initial sub. SMH for this country.
phizz: Was in Lagos last week and i used my ntel sim at airport, computer village, isheri idimu, lagos Island, obalende etc though they yet to sell in Lagos.
The above has totally misled me into getting the ntel sim, this is after all due diligence and I eventually found out that its a "No Service" area. The annoying part is that I called them to suspend the account and the fellow who sold and registered it told me it cant be suspended. Worse that my credit has started reading since the day I bought it. My question is, is this incompetence or fraud? when those who bought in Abuja had used it for weeks before their credit began to read, when the same people got a mail to the effect that their account can be suspended, how come suddenly that mine cant be ? Somebody much more informed should come to my aid, as this is frustrating.

bigrovar: I think it is just apt to show guys here the update. This project is now live and has been a resounding success. Of cause some adjustments were made mainly increasing the size of the inverter and making the whole system 24v. 24v is more efficient across the board. On inverter side easier to convert 24 - 220v than 12 - 220v, on cc less work on the cc and I can use it optimally, it is also more efficient has mppt work best when battery voltage is about twice the total voltage from the PV. On the consumption side. I have done a lot to trim down my load considerably. Use of Led >=5w goes a long way. My average current load is about 120w (Including 43inch led, laptop powered home theater PC, 1200w 5.1 Home theater sound system, ceiling fan and couple of light bulb 8-5w which come on demand) this when u include an inverter efficiency of 85% puts my current draw from the battery system at 6amps/h putting me very close to achieving a C40 discharge rate from my 220ah battery. (this reading was done with a watt meter) My daily consumption stands at 1600w (Including the Freezer running for 4 hours daily) which is about 30% dod. the whole 1600w is put back into the battery the next day. By noon my batteries are in float. On afternoons on weekends, generate enough from the 480w panels to run the house while keeping the batteries at float. (TV-Home theater, Fan or Just powering the freezer - not both at once) Gen has been totally and resoundingly deprecated. Here is the mandatory Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlkYU02g-HE
Very nice setup. I have 1200watts of solar panels ( 4x 300 watts mono) plus 24v 1.5kv inverter, and 2 200 battery, does it mean i will be able to use freezer?
I just got the signal for ntel ard Idimu/Isheri. No wonder data price is dropping like water. Truth is soon there will be data price war, we aren't seen nothing yet. In all this the consumer reigns.
BiafranNigerian: Well, I think attitude is everything, I had expected you to ask me for the solution to your Erectile Dysfunction, which I took time to pen down, then what I got was you asking me to re-read your post slowly. Sorry bro, carry your cross until you get humble enough or be humbled by nature. It took me many decades to figure it out what I wanted to share for free.
Some people can be stupidly impossible. The op is airing what to him is life threatening and ure there spewing rubbish. A candle never loses its light by sharing, what will it cost you to spew it, you probably could help many more like the op, but your pride won't let you . Ure very likely one of those who believe that everything is about money and ure looking to exploit the op. Mitcheww.

foonshur: Hello guys, thank God I stumbled on this tread today... pla I need advice and and suggestions. ... I have a 1.4kva inverter and 2 200A/12v batteries. the thing is even after being fully charged, it doesnt take more than 2hrs for it to start shouting (lol). actually I've had this for like a year+, so I know its time to change the batteries. but then I thought of adding a solar panel to the system. I got a quotation of 320,000naira from someone bt I think its on the high side. pls guys hw much do u think I need to replace d batteries and add a solar unit to it.
