ok, so it appears one can now drop off in other cities, not just abuja and lagos as was the custom b4 for IW/dropbox., there is now ph/benin/akure etc....though a charge of 50k applies, i hope this covers the whole IW process passport to and fro movement. that would be nice if so..saves one the hassles and cost of booking flights to abuja and hotels etc...and drop off dates even available as early as 2moro

and schedule another appointment for dropoff?

wondering what if i wil be able to get same date as my original date from the now closed US traveldocs....or if i dont get same date, wch date should i honor?

Also for IW/dropbox..is it visa services or us visa documents delivery....i should choose?

Hello @DFCO,

In case this is still necessary, here is what you do.

Login again, select 'My Dashboard'. Click 'Pending Appointment Request'. It should open up the calendar. Just above the calendar on the right hand side, you will see 'Select'. Click it to choose Abuja or Lagos and then you will see the available dates.

So my original drop off date from the US website was 25th sept,, so with this switch to OIS, am yet to get a mail/profile migration...
should I continue waiting aswas initially advice or go ahead and schedule appointment on the ois website?

what dates are available for dropoff on the ois page p, when you tried pls/?. 2ndly the ois people are they strict on dropoff appointment time?..or you can come in earlier or later...in as much as its same day

Even with the email confirmation from the embassy, OIS is still charging 48k for drop off.
Also from what I have gathered they are charging that 48k to anyone who comes to pick up their passport as well even those who selected to pick up at DHL.
It is a rip off in my opinion but where do we direct our complaints?

SO, my initial appointment time for drop off was 8am, now am learning that we need to book appointment for dropoff on the new site, as they are not sending registration links to people like us as they promised. so my question is---the new appointment, would it have the same time as the old appointment?

secondly, are they strict on time for drop off.??..cos am flying in from another city, my initial plan was to come a day b4..drop off and fly back the next day....but, am thinking if i can come in by 10am flight, i can drop off say by noon and fly back same day...without spending funds on accomodation etc

lastly, how long did the dropoff process take...upto 2hours?

I have just had a very interesting experience and thought to ask if anyone is experiencing the same. I got a mail (found it in my spam today) saying that my IW date has been rescheduled from December 2024 to July/August 2024. I thought it must be spam but I decided to log into US travel docs all the same. Upon logging in, lo and behold, I have a new appointment date in August. Did anyone experience this?

pls. when did you submit for IW, I have a trip lined up next month -aug, was hoping I wud get late aug or early sept dropbox date, but with this ur revelation now, I don't want to pick a date, and they come and bump it forward to early aug..to then clash with my trip

SO the IW DATES am seeing is earliest mid oct 2024 for abuja, i am looking for an earlier date. any tips on when best to check?

I’m to attend a conference in New York on the 17th of October. I work with a real estate and Agro company. The company is funding the trip as the conference is quite important for the agro segment they are venturing into next years.

The company has given me a letter of sponsorship also, I have reprinted my letter of appointment with the company. What other doc do I need? Meanwhile, I have gotten the invitation letter from the conference organizers.

Also, I have been advised by the conference organizers not to not make arrangements for accommodation until visa approval because they won’t take responsibility for any loss. Meanwhile, I was asked to fill accommodation details in the form DS 160 form. I don’t know how to go about this.

for accommodation, go to booking.com and book accommodation in the city of the conference, while booking, make sure you read the fingerprint and select an accommodation with free cancellation option.

the Americans are notorious for not attaching much importance to documents.....so no need worrying yourself much, go with all the docs u think u need....chances are high they wudnt be interested in any of them

whats the budget airline for a trip to UK in august?.. airpeace is almost 2m naira..with all the noise they made. airmaroc appears to be the cheapest, but am wondering if they are any good.

Yes. It usually takes 24hrs to get approval. So check your mail.

most normal mppt cc has voc of 150v,
powmr has voc of 150v for 48v, but 115v or so @ 24v

RETURN IT, that 100v limit is a spoiler, it will limit ur panel config and options

I believe your passport is ready. Mine was also showing pending production but I went to pick it up on my collection date. I discovered the passport was produced on April 10 but picked it up on June 5.

I captured at Alausa on March 6.

seems abuja is fast, just 1 month between capture and pick up

so what of travelling out with soon to expire passport for a nigerian, say your passport is to expire in august, and you want to do a quick internal travel in july to return same july...would you have any issues with the airline or nigerian immigration?.

i have paid for renewal online, but not willing to bribe anybody, so will follow due process which may take months

Some weeks ago lightning destroyed my 3.5kva inverter and having waited for 1 week to get it repaired , the repairer said the board is bad and it will cost around 140,000 to 160,000 to get a new board and it will also take time as they will have to order it from lagos meanwhile i am in abuja.

So i decided to get a secondhand 4kva inverter.

It was installed 4days ago but my issue now is that with my formal inverter with nepa light the battery will be fully charged in less than 24hours BUT this one that is just installed have being on nepa light for 3days and not full charged

Please what could be the problem?

Kindly note that the formal inverter normally charge like phone charging .i.e it add bars continuously until fully charging but this one have being charging from buttom for days now

no specs, no pictures of old and replacement inverter, no details about battery type/capacity... how can anyone know what to tell you naah??.

the 2nd hand inverter u got is the problem, since ur old inverter charged ok. either it has a charging problem or the charging current is very low, these are issues beyond your paygrade to shoot, so best you get your installer to help you check...or you roll up ur sleeve and skill up. watch youtube videos, google...n understand the basics first.

however note that a tourist visa holder having a 1 way ticket is a big red flag....and risks entry denial at POE!

I have two brand new 200 watts panel connected in parallel, both panels have a maximum power current of 11 amp. But when i connect it to my pwm 60A charge controller, they both produce around 5-7 amps total instead of 22A. What could be the problem?

1. YOUR BATTERY may have been full
2. fake panels
3. wrong cable size
4. pv spec exceed pwm cc acceptable specs.
5. fake/ substandard pwm cc

Relax! The parcel will be handed over to Speedaf shortly for final processing and dispatch to destination. But for you to be able to monitor the parcel on 'Speedaf site or app', you have to first use 'track24.net' or 'postal.ninja'. The reason for this is that the tracking number doesn't change automatically from LP.... to. 'NG.......' on AliExpress order page even after the parcel is handed over to Speedaf. So, you have to retrieve the speedaf tracking number yourself to enable you monitor the item.

Here's what to do:
A couple of days after the item is shipped, copy the 'LPxxxxxx' tracking number and paste it in track24.net or the latter, and you'd be able to see the corresponding speedaf tracking number beneath the displayed information. It normally shows as 'alternative tracking number'. You can copy it and use to monitor your item's movement on Speedaf site.

About 2 weeks ago, 2 of my orders experienced a similar boost. To say "I was shocked" when I first saw the attached LP..... number would be an understatement. But today, both items , as combined order, have been cleared by NCS and are awaiting delivery.
