TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by Mmachisco: 4:48pm On May 30, 2021
This is quite simple to understand. Yes, we don't have pounds but we know how much is needed in pounds, which is your maintenance fee + tuition balance. Whatever you get in pounds is what you should convert to naira. It helps you know how much you're supposed to have in naira and the other way around. I don't why you guys are even stressing this thing.

Blanchefleur:
Please stop stressing this, it's simple analytics.

You have been the only person getting the conversion right the whole time.

We don't have pounds, we don't have pounds, how on earth will anyone want the convert from pounds to naira.

That means you have have pounds and you want to sell it for naira.

Please unless you have excess cash in your bank account, follow scobby calculations. That's exactly how to do conversions.

Good morning,
I'd appreciate it if I can get help from anyone here. A relation wants to move to Canada through the study route. He has a BSc economics (2:2), a PGD in education. What programs/courses can he do? I'd appreciate it if anyone can recommend schools too.
Thanks

From Mile 2, take a bus going to CMS. From CMS, enter obalende (you might be lucky to get one going from Mile 2). From Obalende, you can easily locate Alagbon as there are buses calling Alagbon there

Gentledaf:
Apart from international passport and passport what other document do I need to go along with for the police character certificate and how can I get to Alagbon from mile 2 I intend going by Monday.

Hello Mmachisco,

Remark won't work for L & R as they are subjective tests. Better to resit.

One love!
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Mmachisco: 9:03pm On Apr 26, 2021
I think you should request for a remark if you're sure of how well you performed. There's no harm in trying.

Officialksolo:
Good evening gurus

Thank you so much. A separate letter wasn't issued but it was stated in the acceptance letter.
TennieYF:
You apply for it with your study permit, your school must have given you a co-OP letter, upload it during your study permit application.

You can use it to apply. Someone recently got their PPR request even though had a 5.5 using the NSE route.

Jayrealest:
Gurus in the house please I need clarification on an issue,

I intend to go for NSE stream but my IELTS result LRWS is 6,5.5,7.5,7. Will my score in reading deter me from being considered for the NSE stream? Or is there anything I can do or I will have to rewrite?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Mmachisco: 4:40am On Feb 24, 2021
Official documents are documents that need to be submitted from the issuing institution. They cannot be uploaded by the applicant. They have to be sent by mail, courier, or authorized email account to Memorial University by the issuing institution

I got this from their website so you can use any method.

Bebe123:
MUN applicants pls help.

In sending official transcript for Memorial University for Undergraduate application, I saw 3 options including email.

Will Memorial Uni accept official transcript emailed by the school with official email or it must be sent through courier?

Pls which method did you use?

Pls Reply, it’s urgent. Thanks in advance.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Mmachisco: 4:33am On Feb 24, 2021
Well for mine, I opted the courier method because I noticed a few discrepancies on their website. There was a place I saw that transcripts sent to their email will considered unofficial and then saw different thing again. However, I ended up sending it both via email and courier as my school forgot to give the courier company since last month.

Hi,
I applied to MUN for undergrad fall 2021 semester. They requested for my transcript which I have sent (they sent me an email ).
For the English proficiency test, I'm yet to send my ielts TRF because it hasn't been couriered to me yet.

tallCoder02:
Hi
Who here has applied to Memorial University for undergraduate fall 2021.

1. I've sent my waec but they haven't asked for my transcript.

Did they ask you guys for unofficial transcript?

2. I asked for an English Proficiency Test waiver but I haven't gotten a reply.

Did anyone send TOEFL or IELTS test scores?

Thanks in advance.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Mmachisco: 4:47am On Feb 09, 2021
If you have the means and necessary funds, I advise you to relocate.
Theresaihez:
Hello,

I need advice.

My goal is to relocate to Canada. I'm currently a 3rd year Nursing student (BSc). Due to the strike and pandemic and uncertainties surrounding the educational system last year, I closed my eyes and applied to just a school (college to be precise) for Bsc Nursing.

I got in few days ago!!!

Here lies my dilemma: I'm currently in 300L and if things go as planned with 4 semesters in a year, I'd be graduating next year; although I don't think personally that that is feasible. Nasu and Ssanu is currently on strike, only God knows if in a few months time, ASUU won't on the basis that FG has not fulfilled their promises.

If God and ASUU willing, I'd graduate in 2 years (this year and next year, Although I'll be adding extra 6 months for uncertainties). I still have to do 1 year internship then NYSC that's about 4.5 years already. If I decide after then to go through PPR, I think I'll need at least 1yr work experience to at least boost CRS score before I start applying. All in all that might take me extra 2 years if I get accepted or 1.5 years... That will be bringing my calculations to 6 or 6.5 years that's 2026/2027. And even if I get there, I'll have to take NCLEX exams before I can get a job. It's also recommended to do at least 1yr brushup course for internationally educated nurses. The certification by provincial council of nurses takes time too... So that's extra 6 months before job search if I take express NCLEX without brush up programs; and 1.5 years if I take the brush up before the exam. That is bring my years calculations to 6.5/7 years or 7.5/8years from this year before I can be licensed.

On the other hand if I accept the admission, I don't think I can transfer my credit because this is the first set to be admitted solely for Bsc Nursing and not practical nursing. If I accept, in 4 years I'd graduate and write my NCLEX upon final year. So I'd be certified to practice there in 4 years and a sure job and 3 years PGWP will be waiting for me because I sure can network and make use of every available opportunity.

So please what should I do. I'm confused, I really want to go but doesn't have a sponsor. Or even someone that can sponsor just my first year with the aim of payment back before I grad.

Someone advised me to just stay and grab my degree and there after try UK or USA since NCLEX can be written here for USA though.

Hello everyone,

I stumbled upon this thread while researching about Canadian study permit. I've been reading and following for about two weeks. I'd like to ask a few questions and I'd appreciate it if anyone could help.

I'd like to know if it's compulsory to put my statement of account while applying cos I do not have any job presently and my dad will be my sponsor. I graduated 2016, Nysc 2017, became a jumia vendor for 2 years and presently not working but my parents are using my account as an extra account because of mobile banking as it helps them transfer funds easily instead of using cheque.

I am 23 and would like to change careers. I applied for Bsc accelerated nursing into MUN and UPEI (studied biochemistry) which is 3 and 2 years course in both schools. Personally, I feel it's a good idea to change as I meet the perquisites for the course, however, while going through the last set of threads as regards this topic I noted where Frank was asking why he was applying for nursing after having a BSc in biochemistry and as such could result into refusal.

So, I'd like to know if this could actually result into a refusal as I intend applying for a study permit soon.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can help.
Thanks

Thank you

VObalogun:
They already accept WAEC result together with scratch cards
As for the English proficiency exam, it has to be sent directly from the testing body
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Mmachisco: 9:37pm On Feb 04, 2021
Please, for those that applied to Memorial, how did you submit your waec and ielts? Was it through the issuing bodies or you sent it through email?

Thanks
