cutebear: Thank you! All questions are compulsory, so I did everything! I personally find TCF a lot easier than TEF and that’s why I chose it. I believe the exam went well and if I don’t get good results I would be really surprised. I’ve been on & off french for the past few years and passively reading & watching YouTube videos for fun. I basically taught myself most of the french I know but I got a tutor to prepare me for the exam and brush up my knowledge to be more refined. I used 3 months to prepare for the exam Oh that's amazing! This is the first time I'm hearing that TCF is a bit easier. I was planning to take TEF by July but I pushed it to September 21st. I started classes late February, but I found it to be too basic. I already started learning with Duolingo, YouTube, and Podcasts. So I'm currently preparing with the help of a tutor. I hope I'll be ready by then (I have 4 months left). |

cutebear: Hello Everyone, I wrote my TCF Canada exam today at Alliance Française in Port Harcourt. Here are my questions E.E 1. Respond to your friend that just got his Canada visa and has requested that you help him find an hotel (You describe the hotel etc) 2. Write on your blog about a film/concert you watched with your friends and explain why you liked it. 3. Write an article on “friendly relationship at the office”
E.O 1. Talk about yourself + the examiner will ask you some questions about your life (future plans etc) 2. I am a baby sitter (the examiner) and you are looking for someone to take care of your children after school . Ask several questions to decide if you will take the person or not 3. “It is not advised to buy a phone for a child” What do you think about this topic? Wow, congrats! The questions are similar to IELTS but more difficult. How did it go, did you attempt all questions? Also, how long have you been learning French? |

brogxy: Please do not make a mistake requesting ETX to get your transcript for you, else you are on a long thing according to past users' experiences. It has been said that ETX is only best for sending transcript not request and send. Thanks! |

Fabbyboy: Please!!! Is it safe and fast to use ETX-NG for my Transcript or i should visit my school to send it directly to WES? I'm wondering the same thing too. MNTS0: Good evening everyone!
I've been seeing different takes of obtaining transcript for WES evaluation — etx.ng, e-mail, and courier — all with varying timelines.
It's sort of confusing.
So please what's the fastest way to get it done and cost estimate?
Also, has anyone gotten their transcript from UNICAL (University of Calabar) recently? How long did it take?
Thanks! |

Salut!
I started my classes with a French learning center last week. It's scheduled for 6 days per week.
And it's been fun so far!
I'm planning on writing TEF the last week of June, so I'm trying to improve as fast as possible. Here are some things that I find helpful;
1. Reading.
2. Listening to French podcasts on Spotify.
3. Watching Netflix movies with French audio and English subtitle or vice-versa.
4. Listening to the test practice recordings
5. Learning with the Duolingo app.
6. Switching my phone's language to French.
I hope I'll be prepared by then and everything turns out well.
I was wondering if anybody would be interested in exchanging contacts?
We could keep in touch and speak the language with each other to help us improve faster. Or maybe a Whatsapp group or something.
Thoughts? |

Shayee35: Oh wow, 3 hours a day is intense!
would love to invest more time like you but I have a full time job.
I am paying 30k for 1hr 30 minutes classes 3 times a week. Nice, I hope the 30k is monthly o! I'm also working full-time but luckily for me, it's remote and I usually start by 4pm till about 2 a.m so I have time in the early hours of the day. |

79733139: In 4 months? What level do you think you are on right now, B2? And what scores do you intend to have? Yep, 4 months is the time frame I'm going to work towards, but maybe it might take longer. I'm a beginner with only knowledge of the basics (secondary school and a brief French intro course in the university). I like the language though and I've been practicing with Duolingo and Babbel, and so far I'm confident I'll pick it up quickly. Not sure yet, but if I get to C1 that would be nice, if not B2 is fine. |

Salut! Please how much are you paying for your tutor? I intend hiring one for intensive 3 hour classes every day of the week. My aim is to write the TEF in 4 months. Shayee35: Bonjour tout le monde.
I have started private classes with a tutor, but I want to push myself in terms of self-study, my intention is to write the TEF in 6 months. I realize that needs a lot of extra work. Could anyone share links to free online resources in terms of books and test papers? This is critical for my self-study and all assistance would be appreciated.
I also want to ask, if I want to write the exams in the next 6 months, when am I supposed to register?
Thank you for responding! |
