Mutter, I am very sure that you would make the perfect wife for a certain kind of man. There are always men out there who want 'Stepford wives' and there are certain women that are happy enough to be just that. Of course, there are women who use 'funny' means to get whatever they desire. However, this phenomenon is not a new thing, neither is it limited to Nigerian women. Besides, you seem to ignore the fact that men also have their own dubious ways of acquiring wealth. What about some men that persuade female members of their staff to provide sexual favours to clients in order to gain contracts? Aren't they equally to blame? I am not saying that a woman who uses her body to gain professional positions is justified. I am just saying that it is not just or fair to lie the blame solely at the feet of Nigerian women. It may also shock you, but not all women desire to please a man, cook for a man or clean for him. Some of us actually have a life and career that we have worked very hard for. Kudos to those who think every word that a man says is the holy grail. I envy such women, it must take a lot of guts to put all your ambitions aside to keep a house clean for a man. I am sure he does not have to help with the house work or the kids. That would be a complete abomination. Why should a man help his wife out, when she has been destined to be his personal slave?
I have learnt something important, which is, 'for every woman who wants liberation, there is one who is completely satisfied with her position'. Please correct me if I am wrong. I do not shy away from criticism.
