How can we ever hope for a better nation when

I'm still going to reiterate this; Lee Kwan yew of

He did what he had to do to get results!!

Benevolent dictatorship is the only way to go,

BTW, on a 2nd note, is this another way of heating up the polity? who is this Judge and his jurisdiction? huh
Politics › Re: Dss Threatens To Shoot Wike. by modath(f):
First thing:

What was Wike doing at a Judge's house at 1 AM? & reporters as wellhuh huh ...How did he get there so fast if he had nothing sinister in the pot cooking with this Judge. Corrupt Judges are the No 1 problem of this country and we pray they are all weeded out!

He is over reaching if indeed he did do this,
is he the Judge's father? He and the judge must have been in cahoots for him to have raced there so fast!!

P.S... no one should come back with the CSO of a state BS, ask yourself this question before dancing alanta on my mention: How many citizens of Rivers state has he "protected" this way?

All the beheading and senseless murders going on in the once peaceful garden city, in what way has he been proactive in eradicating such?

All of this hike in the fx rates in it's self is corruption ... Sometin should be done on this .. It's not only to chase looters ..
Stanbic stopped being 380 since late August, it was 450 as at yesterday.... kindly confirm for yourself.

I really wish i could be hopeful but the folks with billions of stolen naira stashed in safes and farms will mop up whatever is brought in with the quickness for onward transfer to their numerous foreign accounts....

Nigeria is a peculiar country, what has worked and is still working in other countries almost never do here, it's like there is something (apart from corruption duh) defective in naija's genetic makeup that just doesn't want to be great!!!

We may solely be import dependent but we all know importers don't require more than 40-50% of forex in the system, proceed of corruption is what is majorly chasing forex upandan.

I'm hoping you would see this another way, I've never been a fan of FFK but the truth is we are under seige and at this point we remember we are yorubas first and foremost before party affiliations or ideology. Now we must stand side by side and fight for what is ours for ourselves and those to come.
Unfortunately, i do not believe i have to cut another down to build my own!!! It's no secret that i not only stan hard for my Yorubaness and all things Yoruba delight me, i also will fight any battle any day for omo odua.

FFK is a dangerous element, he is reactionary not for common good but intends to settle scores, i aint for it.

We told them there is a laid down protocol for appointment of CJ which is primarily based on seniority.

People should learn to stop crying where there is no Wolf.
They aren't wailing for any other reason beyond it being their default mode, irrespective of the circumstances, they must wail, it's their collective destiny... now factor in ignorance +refusal to learn, you get the picture.

I was already falling for the sweet words and getting almost sucked in, then i got to this part:

The oil of the people of the Niger Delta appears to be good enough for Nigeria yet the people of the Niger Delta do not appear to be worthy of anything as far as Nigeria is concerned.

After railroading the only Niger Deltan President in our history out of power in a rigged election after just one term and then coming after his family, friends and political associates with everything that they have got, the new powers that be refused to stop there.
& remembered who this Foolish Feverish Knave really is, the kind of heart that beats in this man is peculiar, a recidivist per excellence, divisive serpent ... evil soul he is.

Is it fair for his people not to have a caretaker to oversee their affairs? How and why wasn't a move to "recall" him instituted instead of shortchanging his people.

1) I guess ACN wasn't tinubu party then ,abi? Maybe tinubu was in apga when acn lost to mimiko

2) atiku will follow tinubu but yet he left the party and went back to pdp, yet he went against tinubu endorsement of buhari and made sure that an open primaries was held , only god knows how u ppl seem to believe tinubu influence cut across the south west

3) tinubu incurred the wrath of obj but had only Lagos state,it was atiku that broke pdp stranglehold when he led some pdp governors out of pdp convention and later formed the new pdp of 7 state pdp governors and it was atiku that told them to join apc,the governors forum issue was only an excuse.

5) 2019,we shall see those that will remain standing
You made a wrong statement about Mimiko besting APC in 2012 , i corrected that, don't shift the goal post, Iroko did well in his 1st term, ACN was a regional entity, PDP had the centre, game set match....

Atiku is so powerful but he has chased the ultimate prize with no sign of even coming close... Atiku is so mighty he came 3rd in the primary despite (allegedly) spending like a drunken sailor... He is making noise about restructuring when we know the average Fulani ain't bout dat life..

Me nor dey argue with person plenty on matter wey dey very clear cut, nothing can remain hidden for long, we will all be alive God willing to see things for ourselves.

The nigerian ambassador should be able to intimate the economic team about cote d'ivoire's ability to stay afloat.
A country is excelling inspite of the economic woes surrounding it and people are not observant
This is no time for empty chest beating about giant of Africa
A giant is not made by size. Afterall, David killed Goliath
Cote D'ivoire 's population is just Lagos+ogun+maybe ondo... Naija's problem apart from mismanagement is the population explosion... If you make 50naira and have 10 kids to manage, you can't expect to live better than the man with 2-3 kids on same 50naira.

Bros , also never forget assimilation policy;which basically means France micro manages all former french colonies.

BTW, I've been to cote D'ivoire, they aren't doing better per capita wise.... They just aren't breeding like mice...

tinubu isn't the determinate figure in ondo politics. Was he not in apc when they lost to mimiko? This is a battle for tinubu political relevance and survival, whatever happens at the polls will determine tinubu future. If tinubu works against apc ,he will incur the wrath of the party and president,if he works for apc that means he has surrendered to akeredolu and if by luck apc wins ,akeredolu and his faction will have no respect for tinubu. Now he is in the middle and he must take a stand and face the consequences.
Papa you are wrong.

1. It was ACN that lost to Mimiko, then Iroko was a mighty tree now he is no better than a banana tree.

2. Atiku will go where Tinubu leads, Dec 2014 still very fresh in his memory... He knows the side that the grass will always be greener.

3. Tinubu incurred the wrath of OBJ, Jonathan and he is still standing..

4..Akeredolu won't get any appreciable vote "on his own recognizance"

Na wah.... These people should pick one narrative and stick to it, In one breath Tinubu is surplus to requirement, in the next, he is the lifeblood of their party.. For every action, there is a reaction, for every act, consequence awaits...

Alasoadura and his oversized coats (+their support base) should have known 7 isn't the only thing after 6...

Did they not think their actions through? sad

Nigeria sneezes , west Africa catches cold.... That's how it has always been & no gainsaying, that is how it will remain..

If we aren't buying woodin and the crude bleaching formulas from Cote D'ivoire, we are in senegal buying overpriced boubou or in Ghana trucking in trailer loads of Daviva/Akosombo ankara on an intermittent basis...

Benin Republic is virtually naija's 36th state, Togo's textile industry depends on this nation's patronage, and there are more examples of inter dependent commercial eendeavous... If naija isn't playing, WA isn't balling.

My sister, I dey oooo. Since it is almost a routine exercise for every major loser in an election to go to court, this doesn't come as a surprise. I have said it elsewhere that I won't advise Pastor Iyamu to go to court. Aside the fact that there are many holes in the case, the courts these days rarely rock the boat. I was expecting them to upturn Bello's victory but it was upheld by the Supreme Court based on some obscure legal terminologies.
But na them right to seek justice if they feel they were robbed of victory. No be my money dem go take pay lawyers.
In other words, PDP is on an exercise in futility.
