Politics › Re: Aisha’s BBC Interview – She Got It All Wrong, My Respect For PMB Just Soars by modath(f): 8:41am On Oct 15, 2016
fiizznation:
Passing shot, may God continue to bless you for this wonderful piece. I careless about what disgruntled elements on this forum have been saying or will eventually say, but what people like you, modath, seunmsg, omenka, fulanimafia, quota system etc say is something I take very serious and with great concern. I even thought I was the only person who finds Aisha's outburst very disgusting and ludicrous, but thank God am not alone on this.

I'm still bemused by that silly woman's arrogancy and outright pompousness. Like seriously!!! Who the hell does she thinks she is? A president, your husband have to consult you before he makes his appointments? Aisha is very silly and I hope buhari will tame the nonentity once and for all.

Buhari knows the woman very well and that's the main reason he never wanted the office of the 1st lady in the first place. Now that she has achieved her stupid goal, what will be next for her? Can you believe that what she did was so big that local televisions and newspapers over here are carrying the news. Funny indeed.

Anyway, Mrs modath, you haven't made any comment regarding this buhari/Aisha saga. I'm looking forward to read your comment.

Neither of Bubu nor Aisha did right, Aisha is a woman scorned and reacted the way most embittered women do, not caring the effects of their acts... She is a wife from the north, she knows how things roll, she knows her husband would not allow "over do" (+Zahra too) but thought she could bend him, seeing it wasn't going to happen, she lashed out...

Bubu on his part is the president of Nigeria and not just "Aisha's" husband & should have put the usual candour of his in check!! He didn't think things through at all and he ought to apologise to "Nigerian women & girls" because he is a leader who should care about the import of his words...

Garba Shehu should put a lid on it, Buhari wasn't joking and we all know it...

*P.S, I didn't comment yesterday cos of 2 reasons,

1. I had a full day

2. I don't respond when "instigators" keep flooding my mention for response/opinion, I do not owe anyone of them explanation, so they can keep stewing & wailing.

Kick out Buhari for who? GEJ, Atiku, Saraki, Akpabio, Duke, Kwankwanso, El Rufai? You must be high on toothpaste and chewing stick.
You forgot to add Ben Bruce, Sule Lamido & Peter Obi...

At this very moment in time, the only person I can queue in the sun for apart from Buhari (he's goofing royally but he is still manageable in comparison to the sorry lots we have). is Donald Duke, for obvious reasons....

Your views are really sickening. So you think Google and Facebbok would invest in making their global platforms compliant to local Nigerian languages if there were no "strategic" incentives to show that folks are actually willing to engage and interact online in those languages?

It's so unfortunate that you failed to realize that GOOGLE, FACEBOOK and PDP are all after ONE thing: "localized comunication and engagement".

I don't blame you much though, I blame your addiction to social media and its adverse effect on reasoning.
Pa chuks, I'm not offended, you can never disappoint me cos I have no expectation concerning who you are and what you represent.. you are 49 and still living an existence that can not pass any value to your progenies....

Some of these men have been doing law for decades !!! There are lots of business you can start with even less than N10million and become a millionaire in less than 10 years.
Bros, you see what we say about comprehension? You are off the mark!!! Totally..... I asked for specifics since you are speaking for people who earn between 10-15m annually but have "huge lodgements" touching hundreds of millions...

Not "there are lots of businesses", you should know what the judges do exactly since you are privy to the bountiful pay off investments they are into as their advocate, no be so?

Go and ask some of these Igbo's in ladipo and alaba how much they were settled by their bosses.I bet you none of them will tell you anything close to N5m and yet today some of them are worth hundreds of millions
Settled with 5m and worth hundreds of millions doing nothing special from what others are doing..... of course, e easy nah, but no one is in the dark about the specific "side businesses" they engage in that gives such stupendous returns... that isn't commensurate to what the investment is all about, but it's too early to go into that!!! All na hardwork! Make we leave am like that for now. smiley

When people who cos they hate this present day government get tired of wailing (won't happen cos dem use am swear for dem) they should try and find out the amount of petitions agains judges in this country and the kind of cases they throw cos of money, the lives they've ruined, destinies sabotaged and they may understand some things better.

Anyway, this is the thing with cracked walls, all species of lizards will have a field day.... People who hitherto had handed these bottom feeding devilish judges to "God's court" because they thought they can't get justice against senior judges in this country are now confidently coming out to plead their cases...

Hopefully, these Judges will serve as deterrent to their comrades in wigged heist incorporated!!

What is a crime in having huge lodgement? From what is been peddled about the DSS has nothing concrete on this judges.
Help a civil servant explain source of funds running into hundreds of millions... sad

It is not a crime for someone to have huge lodgements or for them not to have touched their salaries for a very long time.
of course nah, they have "investments" especially when they are living on "proceeds of fresh air"

I am sure most of these Judges have other investments like so many other Nigerians.Who relies on just one source of income in this country?
Kindly lead me to the kind of business anyone can start with a sum of 10m or thereabout and will be making hundreds of millions yearly, abeg make a join am, thank you.

Business › Re: CBN Suspends 19 Banks From Forex Sale To Bdcs by modath(f): 10:45pm On Oct 12, 2016
989900:
It depends; the banks were the ones actually sabotaging the CBN's effort by not selling to BDCs as directed by the CBN ($50K/week) from diaspora inflow. The banks were racketeering the inflow -- they even collected deposits from the BDCs without making up on their end of the deal.

Meanwhile, the CBN is barely supporting the FMDQ at the moment, while them oil companies basically just supply oil importers.

I 'think' what the CBN would/should do next is to funnel those funds through Travelex (that way they can probably move from $15K/BDC/week to higher) and First bank.
I get you quite well but this is naija!!, we will revisit this in 3 days time ....

One more thing, Travelex is for travelers, what of the lace, wine, diaper, screwdriver, roofing sheet importers?

*sidebar*; Stanbic gave a friend 1/2 of her PTA quota @ 399 while travelex gave her the balance 2k @ 370... Most banks are mad, only standchart and Diamond are a bit fair.

By Babajide Komolafe

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has suspended all the banks, with exception of First Bank, from selling dollars proceeds of international money transfer services (IMTS) to Bureaux De Change (BDCs).

Two months ago, the CBN had directed banks to sell proceeds of their international money transfer services to BDCs. This was in a bid to address the steady and sharp depreciation of the naira in the parallel market.

Vanguard investigation however revealed that most of the banks were not complying with this directive, preferring to do brisk business with the proceeds.
