Hello, Like I told someone yesterday, I don't know anything about any of the roads save for the Abuja-Abaji-Lokoja road that my family & I have been plying since the late 90s even before Obasanjo's regime...

I'm calling God as a witness in this, but that road's rehab & dualization was started by [bobasanjo, continued by yar adua & Jona, it is still uncompleted & a nightmare during the festive seasons.

Kindly take a confirmatory tour before sticking out your neck... peace. smiley

Good morning people, please hiw do I apply for PTA at stanbic and fidelity banks? I mean online as their branches here claim they don't give PTA but I know it happens in lagos (HO). Do I have to go in person to book? Please this would cost us about 70k and at least 2 working days(leave) to travel to lagos in person and book, and we still need to go and collect it when it's our turn, so any alternative will be of great value.
Please give me info if you have; maybe phone number of staff involve who I can speak with on phone to book us,or email address as the case may be.And please if the contact you have is not any of this bank, and I can still open account in a new bank to meet up, don't hesitate to asist. I can PM personally if required.
Our travel date is 1st week April. Thanks and Gid bless!
For STANBIC, send a mail to SIBTCBDCLTD@stanbicibtc.com, then keep sending them reminders,2 days to your travel, go there if they haven't called you for pickup, they will definitely sort you out...

For Fidelity, I have no idea.

Hello great Nairalanders,

God bless u all for this wonderful thread. I have a B visa alongside my pregnant wifey and son. I have 2 important questions that i need help with;

1.Please i need a hospital in Houston dat does nt charge more than $2500-$3000 for delivery(Na forex scatter my plan o,abeg help ur brother). My wife shld be in the usa by end of July (30 weeks preggy),so she'll do abt 6-8 wks ante-natal with d hospital. I believe she wont need CS as our 1st baby ws delivered normally.I need name, phone no &email.

2.I got my visa for vacation, what if we do not inform the US consulate of our change of intent (does it have any negative impact).

Pls i need answers asap from ur great selves so i can start planning quickly. Na beg i dey beg o
Bros , let's take it in nos as enumerated.

1. That 3k budget won't work, even for birthing centre, moreover you can't predict with pregnancy, better safe than sorry....

2. Informing the embassy is not compulsory as long as you are well & able to bear the consequence of any fallout from such action/inaction. grin

Now let's be serious, houston & chicago POEs are not the kind of POEs to take chances with, both will humble a saint if the CBP one encounters woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Also , how will you be able to dispel the theory that the journey isn't an intent to be an illegal immigrant? How easy would it be to explain coming to have a baby in a country that touts itself as "Childbirth is EXPENSIVE" with a budget that will give rise to suspicion?...

Methink you should up your budget to 6-7k$ (I know the streets are mean & ain't smiling but be hopeful) at least & also inform the embassy that your wife's situation has changed from vacation to health....

Visa covers both, but Houston POE ain't child's play..

Since you have been programmed to speak without inviting your thinking cap along, show me where i have disputed the existence of the other roads?

Unlike you & your ilk that are unable to separate emotions from reality, I don't say what i do not know, You are claiming a completed road, I'm insisting that road has been under construction for over a Decade.

I wont join issues with you, cos you are not worth the effort, kontinuuu with your bull in a china shop mentality, doesn't change the facts on ground..

Of all these roads, the only one I'm familiar with is the Abuja Lokoja road started by OBASANJO and still not yet completed!! sad anyone claiming otherwise is telling a big fat LIE..

Anyone intent on calling the VP names can go ahead if that is what will make them sleep easy at night..... The truth however can never be hidden for long.....

The picture depiction are also misleading, the completed picture is somewhere around gwagwalada while the before picture looks like Okene (not 100% sure) which by the way still looks exactly like the picture.

Why do you think a national carrier must be wholly financed by government?

Government could own a stake, just as in a joint venture.

Find out about KLM, Air France etc.
Why do you think it won't?

Neither of us is in the know, so my point is from the basis of it being government wholly or majority owned, if the venture is on a 50/50 or govt owning 40% & nepotism, favoritism, cronyism aren't given leeway then I'm all for that...

Madam,
A national airline is a matter of national pride and prestige.

When even small countries like Ethiopian and Kenya have national airlines, Nigeria needs to have one to be taken seriously in the community of nations as an African superpower.

Our lack of Airline means Nigerian travellers have to pay more than other nationals to fly to and from Nigeria and are given poor service and disrespect by Airlines of certain countries.
Are Kenyans & Ethiopians like Nigerians?

Gen B, you seem not to get the issue, I would love a national carrier but our people don't know how to care for things that they don't have personal/vested interest...

I personally don't like this!! National carrier for what exactly?

Pmb should stop reminiscing about Nigerian Airways ojare, that is dead and gone..

No matter how noble the idea is,it's almost a sure bet that it would fail, Nigerians are not nationalistic in our dealings..

Government should restrict itself to creating enabling environment for private airline businesses to thrive not "owning" one...
