I had to suspend my new 'occupation' and commot my 32JJ bosom from my pikin mouth to 'like' this your comment and hail you.
I'm a massive fan of Lai Mohammed. His press releases are a delight to read. His punchlines are always on point. He's a calm, eloquent and intelligent man who's capable of selling snow to the Eskimos.
He will be greatly missed as APC's spokesman but I'm glad he's been rewarded for his loyalty to the 'struggle for change' and to his party. Lai has been very vocal and consistent since the days of AD (alliance for democracy). Thanks sweerie, how are you & our new "job" ? I asked about you in our "office" the other day, seems my mention didn't deliver... E- Hug |

Audu Ogbeh hands down....Not to downplay Akinwunmi Adesina's contribution but "geriatric Pa Audu" took Agric from the textbooks & theory. Then proceeded to paint a practical & realistic picture with facts & figures... & he did without being a naija version of a technocrat & with no fancy CV... With him steering the Agricultural wheels of the nation, ...mehn great things are gwan... |

TonyeBarcanista: We have to be fair to him na Think am now, the people that died cos the hospitals were too far away, The sub literate people that schools turned out cos they couldn't pay teachers a living wage, The farmers who couldn't experience prosperity cos they were unable to transport their produce cos of the "roller coaster bumpy ride" roads, The basic amenities like water, electricity that were denied the people..... Did the hands of time turn back God is the perfect being, we are human & fraught with faults & foibles... TonyeBarcanista: His Corruption, Impeachment and Conviction: Perhaps he had reasoned that since the allocation that was accrued to Bayelsa state was huge, he should 'keep his own share in a safe place'. He soiled his hands in the cesspit of corruption and lodged monies belonging to the state in the UK, US and Nigeria, in addition to his investment in the aforementioned countries. !!!!!!! The highlighted is the long & short of everything... The rest is just being PC.. ALAMS did Bayelsa wrong, he deprived them of major infrastructures in his time & nothing can bring that back.... It is now between him & his God but the Eulogy.... |

1wolex85: your idea of 'civil' is warped you know? You were the one who started all the negativity, its not like i subscribe to modath's assertions but it was you who brought up the tribe issue. I really do not quote known bigots on nairaland and the only reason I quoted you was out of respect because I have never deciphered any tribal slants from your previous quotes I have happened to come accross, so it was more out of surprise not hate like you are quick to think. About not replying any more mentions; whatever massages your ego my dear I saw your mention, & had to ask that you permit me to rise to the occassion. I will start by stating without any fear that the Yoruba cultural ethos & lifestyle dictates my conduct at all time, real life or online. You'd never see me get into any back & forth with anyone, involve myself in vuulgar discuss or behave in anyway that I would not be proud of, which is why fayose's conducts belittles the the most mocked value of the Yoruba tribe "Respect".. Respect is not about greeting ONLY as erroneously believed. Respect is about being honourable, Respect is curteous regard for people's feelings, Respect is about value.... What part of it does fayose embody?? Everything should not be reduced to partisan politics, everything human about us should not be sacrificed at the altar of obsessive consumption without thinking of what we project. Alams wasn't a saint, we all know that & the only reason the UK didncall for him all these time was because of the kkind of government we had..... Let's agree the govt was going to hand him over, it was irreponsible of him to utter that statement that was only for 2 reasons... 1. Heat up the polity 2. Ensure his party wins the election... Search your conscience & examine if he did right. For the avoidance of all doubts, Alams "death" is of no personal loss as far as I am concerned. & he can therefore rest as he so desired for Bayelsa state & her citizens... Thank you & be good. |
