Thanks sis. Just a few packs. I'm mostly into diapers and baby formula. They are quite expensive here and I doubt if I will see them in Naija. If I ever see them,;they might cost an arm and a leg. Can't wait for the children to start drinking pap jare.
Pm, check your mail.

Sorry to butt into your discussion o,pls I'm a new mum and my baby has a scheduled doctor visit and second shot of Hep B too.Is it that it's not necessary?
No butt in here, we are all here to share & learn..

I'm more disposed to our naija immunisation schedule cos the child is coming back to live so i'd go wit that.

Please is anyone coming to El Paso soonest? Please inbox me. I need an urgent help- 2 Ghana must go sacks, the new ash colour type. It's very strong. Want to use them to pack diapers and wipes to take back to Naija.
Babe, you do not want to buy wipes from the US, especially if you live in lagos, those things weigh a ton & the difference in price is non existent.

Do an experiment, ask someone to price it for you & compare the price, on another note, you paid for baggage allowance, you may as well gbadun it...

Hmmm. Mr knowall, what use is a dollar in a wallet if it can't be spent? Please read all my comments on nairaland with full understanding because I speak in parables a lot, don't be quick to type. Thanks
For the avoidance of doubt, if you have any transaction to do, Stanbic has no restriction as at today 9th of Aug.

@mavinc4u,
I have the mail in my box but im not using GT, dont even have more than a few dollars in my GT cos of their useless & exploitative rate.

Im using Stanbic, someone was able to effect a 1,455k$ with his stanbic MC today.

Will report my findings, relax... cool

Modath, how come you're leaving so quick? Did you get your LO immunization done (I want to try and wait for mine before I head back to Nigeria in August by Gods grace).
I have a giant baby cheesy & two big babies back HOME that i not only miss so much but LBK is shacking them as well& they are counting days to our reunion when we communicate.

LBK already got the Hep B shot, we've gone for PAED visit,(6days post birth) & we are only scheduled for another visit @ 6wks with no plans of vaccination ..

They dont give BCG or ORAL POLIO here so wetin i dey wait for when i know my baby is going to be raised in the north.

I was given T-DAP the day after delivery to transmit to him(how that works out i no get huh)... If not for a C-s, i would have changed my ticket to return in this coming week cos i got his BC & Blue Pali 10days after his birth. I just decided to not use Tanko or Eddy since naija visa is not needed urgently... gave it to the go to guy in the windy city for a 280$ 10 days TAT..& finally morika aint my home.. grin , i miss naija's chaos......

makzeze:
Yes, you can only withdraw in Naira.

Simple question: can you go to a bank in US or England and withdraw in Naira ? I dont think so.
The tone is a bit judgemental sad & to answer you, US & UK banks have never allowed such so....

david22uu:
you have two options to do with them, either you sell it to people who will wire it out (inflow) or u convert it to naira
I do not want to sell, i want to leave it in the acct till further notice incase the price of crude oil refuses to come of its present home in the dungeon & the govt decides to stop giving USD as PTA.

Moreover, its not up to commercial quantity, its just a bit above 5k+ change...

mavinc4u:
You have 2 options to withdraw, either in naira or dollar but if you choose to withdraw in dollar who would buy it from you.
Meanwhile, another news is that the maximum daily limit withdrawal for any transactions is now $300 be it POS, online or ATM.
I'm not selling cos i got it above the banks' 197-200 buy rate ..... I already have the money, i over prepared for my plans here & the stanbic card i brought with me ensured i didn't spend much of my cash.....

From my understanding, its 300$ across ALL platforms, so its most likely 900$... will do an experiment today, take whatever 60k ( don't think that's up to 300$, even at STANBIC's unbeatable 207) can give me from the ATM & still try & buy stuff that will exceed 200$ & see..

Will report my findings as soon as I'm done.

Frm wt am seeing here, e be like say na stanbic get lowest rates. I alrdy hv active accounts in UBA, FIRST BANK, FIDELITY, SKYE and dormant accounts at GTB and DIAMOND BANK. As I would soon start making heavy transactions that would require a fairly low exchange rate, should i proceed to open a stanbic savings account? and if yes, is it the same normal docs which one would use in opening an account at other banks that i'd need for it? thanks
