The op is actually right. Unless one is totally convinced that he needs to drop out or in some cases has to drop out due to financial reasons, one might not succeed. Success, irrespective of your educational background, is governed by certain principles. If you're not focused, determined or desciplined while you're in school, you'll not succeed even after dropping out.

I just had to speak on behalf of people who don't have the luxury of going to school in the first instance. Coincidentally, most of the ibo boys and abokis that started their own businesses had to learn the trade for years, some even up to 7 years before they are able to go out on their own. That is also education. I believe the op mixed up schooling and education. In most cases, you have to be determined to educate yourself and learn constantly in order to achieve your goals.
