Toronto is a very strict POE, pls do yourself a favour and fly in thru Montreal POE, they are nicer there than Toronto

Applied for this VV in 2021 when I came back from UAE hoping that it will come out after 6months or thereabout but unfortunately it didn’t, I waited and waited but didn’t see any sign of visa approval so I moved on with my normal hustle
I was surprised when I got message from my agent that it have been approved thou he didn’t send me the message early, the 30days window is remaining 3days when he sent me the massage and the letter stated that they can’t give you visa more ya passport validation and guys i have only but 8-9months left in my passport and at this point of time I can’t go for the renewal because of the deadline, so I was left with no choice than to submit my passport
Hold and behold guys I got only but 1yr visa and that 1yr is remaining exactly that 8months on my passport
Guys this is the problem now, I don’t intend coming back after traveling by God’s grace, will this disturb me from getting LMIA job, will they reject me because of the short period in my passport? Can I renew it before coming or do I stand any chance to renew it in there while the process of LMIA is going on

You should have gone for the renewal at Niger state if you had the resources. It takes a day, less than 2-3 hours to get your passport done.

But you still have 8 months so you can go visit and come back, the re-apply for another visiting visa when that one expires.

I have warned many people here my brothers and sisters I live in canada. Canada is very tough and not like what people outside thought . Do not come in here with visitor visa with intention of converting to work. It is not easy. Even for legal students to get PR is a long process after their PGWP they still need to write ielts and get high points to be eligible.

For a visitor be ready to cough out between 20k to 28k cad cad above for LMIa jobs or spend the same on study by applying to school. It’s not easy here , to get a job as a PR holder is very tough , many students can’t find a job so tell me what you are coming here to do with your visitor visa. Everything is expensive here especially in Toronto where I am . You should get your finance right and priorities before coming here or else you will be disappointed.

To get the LMIA are there jobs that can be a pathway,

If yes, what jobs are they and their requirements so people can learn those jobs and get certified in them.

Also, I heard there is a closed work permit but they say it’s not ideal to have a closed work permit as you’re restricted to one field and one employer only.

You can’t overstay. You have 6 months to do the miracle and change/extend your visa.

For people with 5-10 years visa, if you visit and spend 1 month before returning home to Naija, can you still use the same visa some other time ?

If yes, would you need to re-apply or tender any document for re-application or it’s just like the American type where you can go and come in anytime?

You can change to study it’s the same thing as applying for study permit from anywhere. Tuition is high from 17500 cad for a year diploma and 2 years gives 3yrs PGWP while 1 year gives just one. Everything Canada govt setup is to take money away from people
