I got my study visa in November, My TB test is expiring this month, January 22nd 2021. With this lockdown, I plan to enter between January 29 and February 10. Will my 22 January expiry date be a problem for me at the border on entry?
I am going with family and their TB test is still valid till May 2021, I am the only one whose own is expiring this month.
Do they always check this TB test cert at the borders?

My people, I am going to Nottingham around Jan 9, 2021 with my wife and 3 kids, the issue is I have been trying to get a 3 bedroom flat from Nottingham to Derby to no avail. Most agents/landlords want employed people. My sister and her hubby there cant even secure a viewing, they live in a small 2 bed flat, that once the agents hear its a PG student with family, they say sorry they don't lease to students. Pls advise. I need a place to land with my family even if na 2 bedroom. I have a boy (10) and 2 girls (8 and 5).

What part of London are you looking at? I have a double room in a 3 bed victorian house that I can let for one month or more in SE London. Don't know if that meets your specification.

How true is this your assertion? That they cant use your GWF application number to apply for dependant visa? I haven't heard of this, what of those that apply together?

Pls explain better the rationale behind using BRP permit for dependants to apply because my dependants are applying shortly after I get my visa, and I am planning to wait for them to get it so we move together. But this your BRP theory is scary and confusing.

Someone or anyone with experience on this please help clarify.

They can't use your application number to apply for 'Dependant Visa'. You will have to get your BRP permit usually given when in the UK then they can apply.

Please I want to know from those who have gotten their visas either through standard or priority, at what point do you know your visa is approved Is it stated in your decision mail?
Or you cannot know till you get your passport back and open it?

I just applied and paid for priority and courier. WIll they let me know if visa is approved at any stage before I get the passport back?

The wait for courier na wa o. Sometimes to pick up is faster to quench BP. lol

But note that they only deal with selected TOP schools in the UK. If you are lucky to get admitted to any of those schools not only in UK but around the world, they will give you loan. They offered me a loan cos I was expecting admission from University of Manchester (one of the very few schools in UK they finance) but Manchester no gimme admission o. The other schools sef no gimme, na Ivy league standard schools.

Biometrics: 28 October (initially 21st but had to reschedule because of the curfew)
Decision: Monday, 2 November
Collection email: 4 November
VAC: Ikeja
*I paid £220 for priority service.

The website says they’re open for collection from 10 am to 4 pm but this is a lie. They close at 3 and I barely made it in time today so please take note.

It should be open (UKVI offices). Schools. Colleges & Universities will still be open. Its not a total lockdown like the one in April. UK needs your upgraded IHS fees. Lol

Hello, Please for those who have used Paga, can one also pay for priority visa using Paga? In addition to paying for visa fee and IHS?

Secondly for those of us that started online studies in Sept 2020 and joining on campus in Jan 2021, will our IHS be prorated? I tried filling on UKVI website with Sept 2020 as start date and it still gave me 705 pounds. That na ojoro o.

I used Paga Verve, when list of payment channel to use comes up, you scroll to the right you will see Paga Verve. Choose the Paga verve, on the next stage you select pay with card and they will direct you to where you will input your card details and confirm. I think some banks have limit, I think my bank Stanbic was 500k hence could not complete for one person, but gtb is 1m. After you pay IHS and you can’t pay visa fee, then limit could be the issue, you just get another card to compete process.

My sister, I once read this on UKVI or UKCISA website. Assuming you are correct, that visa refusals don't cause delay, can you please tell us what factors could cause a non-straightforward processing?

I'd like to learn. I also want to apply priority but I have had some refusals in the past and I am skeptical. Others can pls contribute.

Have you seen someone with refusal or previous visa refusals get his/her priority visa in 5 working days??

Did IRCC at any point ask you for a new bank statement or proof of funds? Or that POF you submitted overall year ago is still the one that will be used to conclude the case. I have applied and am supposed to return the money. Hope they won't ask me for a second POF? Gurus please comment.

My case was a hectic one mehnnnn. I applied June 11, 2018 via online, did my biometrics on June 13, 2018 (in Lagos), waited 13 whole months b4 any update came up on my CIC acct.(while waiting i kept sending mails n applied for GCMS notes twice). Finally got a medical request mail on June 11, 2019.
Was able to schedule a medical appointment in Abuja and successfully carried it out June 19, 2019. On June 22, 2019 (last Saturday) my CIC account was updated to "medicals passed". And today which is 26th of June, i received my passport submission request.
That's d time line of how long my Study visa application took.
