Xiaomi Mi Note 3 was announced in addition to the Mi Mix 2 this week. Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is a new mid-range device with sharp features. Comes with a dual camera that promises to make selfie even more of a science

Despite the fact that there are not so many stores to get Xiaomi phones in Nigeria, there are quite a lot of die-hard Xiaomi fans. Could this be because the phone are quite affordable compared to Samsung and iPhone or because the company produces High End mobile that suit customers’ taste?

Those are question that are not going to be answered in this post. Not to forget, Xiaomi is 5th largest phone maker in 2017, Google is your friend, haha, kidding, read up here.

Let’s see what the Note 3 is about.


DISPLAY AND DESIGN
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 sports a 5.50-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch. with a 2.5D curved glass.

The device comes in Black and Blue colour variants. It is designed in Curved glass body with aluminium frame.

SPECS AND PERFORMANCE
Inside the Note 3, you will find the Snapdragon 660 SoC with its eight Kyro 260 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and Adreno 512 GPU.

The device packs 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. While the RAM is the top-end LPDDR4x type, the storage is the inferior eMMC 5.1.

Out of the box, it runs on the newly released MIUI 9 which is built upon Android 7.1 Nougat OS.

CAMERA
There is a dual camera setup in the rear of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3. There are two 12MP cameras with different functions. One has a f/1.8 aperture wide-angle lens and 4-axis optical image stabilization support. The other 12MP sensor in the back has a telephote lens and its aperture is f/2.6.

The front camera for selfies has a higher 16MP sensor.

It packs a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging tech from Qualcomm (Quick Charge 3.0).

Research shows Wearable shipments reached 22 million units in the first three months of the year, which increased from 18.2 million in the same period in 2016. The table has taken a turn as Xiaomi becomes the first on the list as at this present quarter, the second.

Xiaomi has managed to become the world’s top smartwatch brand in the second quarter of 2017 with an estimated shipments of 3.7 million units, according to the latest data from Strategy Analytics. According to Steven Waltzer, Industry Analyst at Strategy Analytics

Global wearables shipments reached 21.6 million units in Q2 2017, rising 8 percent annually from 20 million in Q2 2016. Strong demand for low-cost fitnessbands in China and premium smartwatches across the United States drove the uptick.

Xiaomi has also shared some statistics indicating that the company sold 3.6 million volume units occupying a market share of 14.7 percent. Apple also managed to sell 3.6 million in volume but had a market share of just 14.6 percent.

Xiaomi has a wide range of products that are priced competitively and feature heart-rate monitors and alerts — the Mi Band is priced as low as $14.99 in the U.S. — while the Apple Watch, at upwards of $269, is a more premium approach that’s packed with a fuller set of features. While they both stand for something at different ends of the market, Fitbit’s position is less certain.


At the moment, Apple has lost its wearables crown to Xiaomi but the question is for how long is it going to be?

As addressed by the Strategy Analytics Director, the upcoming Watch Series 3 launch with enhanced health tracking be what Apple needs to enable the company reclaim the top wearables spot later this year.

The wearables market is a tough space and we’re sure to see more than a few producers fall to the wayside in the not too distant future

to my own knowledge, phones from renowned n acknowledge OEMs alwys av one or more unrooting procedure or guide, but a common phenomenon to all is installing a stock factory rom as d best unrooting route to take, if you really need root priviledge go ahead n root ya redmi 3s, to unroot it, u will need to clean install a fastboot rom on the phone....lobatan!!!
