kITATITA:
Barcanistar really thinks that the President or anybody in government is reading his gibberish. I've seen him at various times call himself opposition, analyst, etc. He's non of these; just a floater fighting for his daily bread. But employers these days check the social network ID of prospective employees. The question is, will you employ Barcanistar if he walks into your office for a job? I think the minion, who posits nothing and represents nothing has a long dwelling on Nairaland for food.

Rawani:
President Buhari's statement was to make two points:

1. Ministers could be sources of distraction as a result of their dual allegiance; to their function as officials of the state and as politicians.

2. The element of corruption that underlies the present emphasis on the speedy appointment of ministers; with regard to agitations bordering on ethnicity.
@the emboldened, would Buhari appoint ministers considering they're "distractions"?

I can imagine what will run through the minds of his respondents when he uttered those words.
This is like the team coach deflating the morale of his team before a big match.

“The ministers are there, I think, to make a lot of noise; for the politicians to make a lot of noise. But the work is being done by the technocrats.
If we believe that politicians only make noise, is Bubu exempt from this noise making?

Politics › Re: Presidency Under Pressure To Relocate Villa Church, Mosque by Mogidi: 8:36pm On Sep 15, 2015
Indications emerged Tuesday night that despite denials by top officials of the administration, the Presidency had come under pressure to relocate the Villa Chapel, where Christians have been worshipping on Sundays.
Buhari's disdain towards other religion is legendary, no wonder he always pick pastors to deceive the gullible.

Prof Yeye Osibanjo's reaction when he heard the chapel was going to be relocated........Nothing

Lol. What kind of husband did you think she would be married to? He is a surgeon. It's just that her area, Economics, made her world-popular, while the man is holed up in the hospital dissecting people grin grin grin
Didn't know anything about him previously, this is quite an eye opener.

Environer:
In part, yes. But her husband is a well-known American surgeon. So they both genetically (so to say) contributed to the family's academic success.

This is a reason I support like-marrying-like. It may result in a lot of argument (imagine 2 lawyers as couples grin grin grin grin) but pays off in the end.
Good to know the husband is himself an intellectual.

“No trading is currently going on because no bank was willing to put out quotes until there is a clearer direction with the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA),” one dealer said.

“The market is right now frozen, as no trading going on,” another trader said.
Nigeria is at standstill, the future under Buhari is bleak.

Politics › Re: APC Governors Shun Progressive Governors Forum by Mogidi:
Governors elected under the All Progressives Congress have shunned a planned meeting of the Progressive Governors Forum in Katsina, forcing the organisers to cancel the event.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the meeting scheduled to hold between September 14 and 16, was to set legislative agenda for the implementation of the APC manifesto.

Also absent was the Senate President, Speaker, House of Representatives, Speakers of APC state assemblies and key officers of the party.

The Chairman, Local Organising Committee, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa, told newsmen that the parley had to be postponed due to poor attendance.
War looms in APC.
Those inbred never liked themselves, they were only united in ousting Dr Jonathan.

In its place, the northern leaders are asking President Muhammadu Buhari to
convene a fresh conference that would take into cognisance the challenges

Expect Buhari to come up with Northern confab soon.

If not for the Igbo people, we would all be speaking Hausa by now.

The League of Imams and Alfas in Ekiti has ordered Muslims in the state not to collect rams and other food items for Sallah celebration, if presented to them in any form by the state government.

The league reached the decision at a meeting held on Tuesday at Ansar-u-deen Society Central Mosque Odo – Otu, Ado Ekiti, where it reviewed the “deliberate marginalisation of Muslims in Ekiti State government political appointment.”

The intra-party crisis rocking the Ekiti State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) took a dramatic dimension on Tuesday with the arrest of a former governor of old Ondo State, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua.
There's no more APC in Ekiti, Fayose murdered APC, APC is dead and buried in Ekiti.

Obasanjo should study how to leave when the ovation is loudest, trust him to write a lengthy letter next year when assignments dry up.
