Programming / Re: Can An Array In Java Hold Multiple Types? by mogozi: 8:48pm On Oct 11, 2016
@ seunthomas
I know what happened to you. You actually read a lot of programming resources but haven't gotten an actual opportunity to code major jobs. So you end up drawing false conclusions.
Fincoapps ,larrysoft and timtoday....
This dude has only programmed for himself so he thinks the world of his miserly outputs.

***Every class or object in java inherits from Objects.
***So any arrays of class Objects is logically able to be manipulated. But common sense should raise an alarm if you are any good.
Imagine the rich security measures in java your foolish code just bypassed.
I'm not done yet... I'll prove it to you with facts...
Programming / Re: Is Seunthomas A Blogger Or Programmer? by mogozi: 10:44pm On Oct 09, 2016
He blogs most of the times on different programming topics. He teaches computer science to the less privileged. He also has a no codes policy. This is to develop theoretically sound programmers who do not acess to a computer.
He confided in me once that he has only a mobile phone.

jeez am partially disappointed in this thread after going through all the 37 pages.
while am partially disappointed is because the kinda challenge i got isn't what i had in mind, tho i got a challenge it was rather a verbal challenge instead of the practical one i was hoping see.
mr op, you actually won this challenge(verbally).
plz dudes where is @airsaylongcon the guys seems to have something upstairs.
dhtml and op both have this problem of pride tho dhtml have some open source works to back his ego.
i saw a challenge (verbally) thats why am not fully disappointed.
who was that dude that said op's mouth is in a recursive loop? - you need to be arrested LOL.

@ seunthomas read the last line...
that's a programmers way of saying you are a blogger!
Just so you know, I have a beef with computer teachers who can read codes but can't write any. You happen to be a the
chief of these crop of people.

Man just download Dietel Visual C#. It's the very best in C# programming for a newbie or for a pro as reference.
The 2013 edition should be enough to start and is free online.

Programming / Re: C# Programmers, Is It Worth It To Have A Microsoft Certification? by mogozi: 2:32am On Sep 29, 2016
Get what you can if you have the means but in this field you need to concentrate 98% on mastering the trade. It is not very "Nigerian" in demand for certificate because you are only as good as your last project.

If you find it hard at first, it's because you are not totally in Java zone as I call it. Take each question one by one try sleeping over it if nothing is working. Play a game, forget about it and come back to it with aa fresh perspective. 90% why one fails the questions is perspective.

However if nothing works, google the whole question and keenly study the answer.

Let's see codes not cattle (beef). I've been in programming for two years... And a member of many forums to pick up a thing or two from more experienced guys. The sad reality is that Nigerian programmers are only good bloggers with excellent command of English.

Please if we want to challenge people or draw recognition, be more like here's my code to solve xyz.... Then we on nairaland would respect you, honor you even.
Thanks.

Man, try balancing things up. I've realized after a prolonged period of parental defiance that the elders have the benefit of hindsight. So I'll suggest you crash in between exciting project. Look at it this way... Your body is producing too much adrenaline because of your excitement. This is okay in the short term, but on the long run you don't want to be a sick pioneer undecided...Ask Steve jobs.... cry...
Good job man.

How about using an OCR??
Software/Programmer Market / Re: I Need Help Copying From A Protected Pdf by mogozi: 12:15am On Sep 19, 2016
pxjosh:
I'm in need of help from experts in this forum.

I needed to copy texts from a pdf I downloaded online, but the issue is that the pdf is protected such that I can't even copy or make any changes. It doesn't ask for a password to open, but I can't make changes, just view.

I've tried all I could to make the file copyable. I've carried out most of the steps given on wikihow on how to unlock a secured PDF, and I haven't had success with it.

Please if anyone can help me on how to make such a PDF file text copyable help me or better still help me convert the whole PDF to a word document format so I can copy.
While viewing the document, go to "save as".... In the naming extension, you'll see something like "the document name".PDF.... Change the naming extension I.e the .pdf to .doc... Save it.
Try it and tell me your result.

No body is bragging here. The truth is - noone will spoon-feed or babysit anybody.
Why didnt you quit at the time you were battling Java for a year??
I did quit at some point.... But I had a little bit of guidance on how to study programming and get results... That's when I picked it up again and succeeded.

Programming / Re: A Challenge Facing Programming In Nigeria by mogozi: 11:25pm On Aug 29, 2016
Guys, guys, guyyyys.... Keep your bragging rights of self made this and that.... Yea we know you earned it but the learning curve is a little steeper for a lot of guys. I'm well on my way to becoming topnotch but before this, I battled java for a year. I have a purely arts background so it was like Greek. The simplest actions required maximum effort because I couldn't just get the hang of it. Almost two years later, I absorb anything java and c# in a heartbeat.
My point here is if you can any newbie please do. Indulge or babysit sometimes... The guy might have put in hours
