Russia has not nuked UK or France for prividing Ukraine with Tauras missiles used to strike inside Russia. How can you remotely think such statement "...if we think we are going down, we'll take half the world down with us." would directly mean that India would attack China, then China would strike the US and Russia would then follow up with a nuke on NATO members?

Sounds like a reckless statement. India alone is about 1.451 billion people (2024), China at 1.409 billion. Meanwhile, the world population is adjudged to be about 8.142 billion people. Hence, one would need to add the population of the Middle East and other / all Asian countries to make up half of the world's population.

So, does it then follow that if Pakistan is losing a war against India, it plans to wipeout the entire Asia and Middle East?

I just hope that the federal fire service are not trying to push themselves into the oil and gas sector. The entire value chain of the sector has regulators NUPRC and NMDPRA under whose purview safety(not just fire) falls. Let the FFS focus on regulating fire safety in states ensuring that the fire services have the right manning and training.

Officers of some State Fire Services are involved in servicing / maintenance of firefighting equipment. I am left perplexed as to how regulatory bodies at the state level have now opted to perform certain functions and tasks that they are meant to monitor and enforce.

In the event of an incident at a location where their personnel carryout maintenance/service (side hustle), how will the erring parties be sanctioned or penalized?

But those kind of funds aren't received in personal bank accounts (unless the person is desperate and unwise), they go through proxies - a friend, inlaw, etc.

Governor Umo Eno is simply playing the mature politics that is obtainable in other regions.

During Governor Udom Emanuel's tenure, the governor fought steadily with APC bigwigs in the state, including the former MD of NDDC (Nsima Ekere), and Akpabio (Minister of Niger Delta), to a point where it affected NDDC projects in the state. Akwa Ibom had no federal presence and gained very little from the FG.

Umo Eno is a technocrat and not a typical Nigerian politician who's blinded by selfish ambition, he knows how to build bridges in order to ensure a win-win situation for the state and political interests of those involved.

If Umo Eno and Apkabio align and have a gentleman agreement, both can win gubernatorial and senatorial elections respectively.

If Tinubu wins the Presidential election in 2027, Akpabio will likely be retained as Senate President in 2027, which is a win for Akwa Ibom if you look at the bigger picture without selfish political interest.

If Umo decides to fight Akpabio and APC, chances are that both big wigs may win their seats in 2027 but such enmity will forge a tight contest that will drive a wedge between them (and their supporters). It'll all be against Akwa Ibom interest and may divide the people further along tribal and political lines.

I respect both men for seeing the need to play mature politics that will bring/drive political benefits to the state by and large. They work together, win their elections in 2027, attract more political appointments and projects from federal level to the state. A win-win!

Why must the flag off took place in Ajwa Ibom rather than Owerri or Enugu?

Must everything be tribal to you lot? Akwa Ibom is also a functional part of Nigeria, and deserves federal presence in gas projects. Abia - Imo - Anambra already have Shell (natural gas) pipelines traversing those areas (NGIC owns and operates 7-Up/Ogbor Hill and probably Aloaji CNG Stations that feed the South East) - Companies like 7 Up, Glassforce, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Aba Malting Plant, and lots more benefit from the gas infrastructure in Abia.

May be this is a way of decentralizing gas projects in both regions. BUA Group is building a refinery in Akwa Ibom, and since LPG is a by-product of refined crude oil, this could be FG's avenue to maximise output by ensuring readily available markets for the investors, thus driving down costs.

Stop seeing everything from the prism of ethnicity and self-destroying witchcraft.
