https://www.rt.com/news/555128-canadian-sniper-wali-ukraine/ I think it's true. There's another captured Ukraine mercenary (a Serbian) who narrated same woeful experience in the ranks.. Both sides obviously have inadequacies... |
I also read this from another source. Not surprised they were quick to nip this in the bud, since it doesn't favour their narrative. Despicable lot |
I make use of mid-sized towels, so I just wash them alongside other clothes and sheets every weekend; thanks to the washing machine in the house. Max for me is bi-monthly even without washing machine. |
I recommend watching this video which was first shared by davefurn, if you want a detailed analysis on what's going on. Keep an open mind... |
davefurn:This is quite insightful. I believe this chap |

The Minister of Defence, Major-General Bashir Magashi (rtd) has assured that in addition to the recent procurement of J-F17 Thunder multi-role aircraft and Super Tucano attack aircraft to enhance the capacity of the Air Force to tackle current security challenges in the country, the country is also expecting the delivery of the DA-42 surveillance aircraft, A109 Trekker helicopters and Beechcraft KA-360i aircraft.Only the DA-42 surveillance aircraft seems a good buy for COIN reconnaissance. Augusta Westland (just like previous ones) and Beechraft are to be used by incompetent money-thiefing military echelons, unless they can manage to add rocket launch pods to the A109. Well, let me not deride them much since they've also procured viper ah-1z attack helicopters. https://www.military.africa/2022/04/nigeria-finally-gets-ah-1z-attack-helicopter-purchase-approval/amp I do hope we have trained enough capable hands for the PAC JF-17 Thunder |

https://ncdmb.gov.ng/ncdmb-signs-investment-agreements-with-duport-midstream-eraskon-on-energy-park-oil-blending-plant/ Is it possible that the two investment agreements signed by NCDMB in the above report were meant to act as catalysts for this recruitment? Duport Misdtream Energy Park Project in Edo State, initially scheduled to be completed in December, 2021, is now rescheduled for commissioning in June 2022. Meanwhile, Eraskon Nigeria Limited recently performed groundbreaking ceremony for the Lubricant Blending Plant in Bayelsa State last month, with a completion date scheduled for December, 2022 (project timelines can be tricky, so we expect completion date to be further rescheduled for this one too). So, unless these projects / investments are directly tied to this recruitment, it's a tad difficult to understand why a recruitment that kickstarted in July, 2020 cannot be wrapped up after almost two years. The last time I was involved in such a long recruitment process was the 2019 NNPC Recruitment for EH component. Those who participated know how it panned out... Some of us are lucky to be gainfully employed while hoping for this recruitment to come to a conclusion, i shudder to think of what other applicants, who are solely banking on this recruitment for employment, are going through. May our expectations not be cut short! |
Ilaumoh:Ilaumoh, has Vandrezzer been allowed to start using the Ikot Ekpene township stadium as their home turf? |
Op, I want to believe you intend using this sensational headline to gain more views and comments. Correction: Israel never dropped the dollar outrightly; it just added Chinese yuan to diversify its foreign reserves, while reducing or lowering the amount of dollars. Canadian, Japanese and Australian currencies were also added. It is however true that a lot of other countries may opt to diversify their foreign reserves from dollars (not dump it outrightly) since the US has weaponised the dollar |
Globetech:As long as Coal, Oil and Gas from Russia are still in demand, these sanctions against Russia would mean little. Imagine Germans being informed to wash and bath less in order not to utilise much gas/electricity; "Dear Germans, it is okay to stink for Zelensky and Nazi Ukraine". |
kiddkash:Exactly! Texas is now the Oil and Gas hub of the US, while California is the Tech hub. Israel is occupying the west bank. Turkey has recognised North Cyprus and just started bombarding Iraq last night / this morning. Wars happenand the victors of wars always share in the spoils of war. It is what it is |
obedience4:Even the US also ran away from Afghanistan after CIA made so much money from Afghan Oil, Gold, Poppy Flowers and Pure Opium. I have seen Chenchen (Chechnya) become a Republic in Russia, Vyborg become part of Russia, South Ossetia become an independent Republic, Syria liberated and fully in Assad's control, Crimea become part of Russia. I see Luhansk and Donetsk becoming independent Republics when this war ends. This, I have seen. There's no need to be emotional about this stuff, it is inevitable. |
matm:Of course, you're really making sense. Just like when George Bush 'physically' went to Iraq and Afghanistan to be 'involved' in front line combats. Barrack Obama, Merkel, David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy were all actively leading from the frontlines, firing MANPADs and M4s in Lybia when Qadaffi was taken down. And Putin himself was on ground during Chechnya and Georgia wars. Such brave heroes! Brilliant comment!! |
Dalil8:Crimea is gone and Donbas (Luhansk and Donetsk) will be recognised as respective republics. Zelensky is just delaying the inevitable |
mightyhaze:Not an idea, it's reality albeit morally wrong. Unfortunately, wars have always happened and it predates The Holy Books, and it'll continue to happen. The Holy Book even prophesied about a great war before rapture. From the days of King David, Solomon, Herod,..., Alexander the Great, Napoleon, The Roman Empire, The Caliphate, The Brits, Hitler, The USA...down to the Fulani invasion of Northern Nigeria, senseless wars have happened and will always happen. Israel has taken over much of West Bank and Palestinian lands. The US threatens any nation with sanctions, before now it used to be outright invasion / regime change; the first nation to unleash nuclear bombs on another country and involved in over 93 wars/conflicts worldwide. NATO bombed Serbia to smithereens and carved out Kosovo, killed Qadaffi and Sadam Hussein, etc. Here, back home in Nigeria, we have terrorism, banditry/bandits killing people and taking hostages for ransom, armed robbery, herdsmen, ESN/IPOB, ND Militants, Cult Groups, even those killing and harvesting human organs/skulls for rituals. They're all just taking whatever they want/can from the weak. It is in human nature to be destructive! I'm just an armchair analyst on NL, whatever I do or say here will neither change Putin's mind nor the outcome of this "special operation". So don't come directing your moral compass at me, speak to the world leaders who'd rather have nuclear and deep space satellite weapons than food/health care/infrastructure that'd be more than enough to take care of humanity. |
Once Russia takes Mariupol, Kahrkiv, Kherson, Odessa, and Donbas (Donetsk and Luhansk), Ukraine will become a landlocked country. Russia would then benefit from the natural resources in those areas; coal, iron ore, precious earth metals, oil and gas reserves, uranium, etc. https://www.forbes.com/sites/erictegler/2022/02/23/as-russian-forces-roll-into-eastern-ukraine-putin-grabs-yet-another-prizeores-and-energy/amp/ Irrespective of how much sanctions the Western Nations met out to Russia, Russia will be richer in the near future if they hold on to Donbas. Also, Russia's Black Sea Fleet will have little or no further worries about any blockade of its Navy heading towards the Mediterranean from unfriendly forces if Mariupol and other port cities are captured. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/INTERACTIVE-Russia-Ukraine-War-Who-controls-what-Day-53.png?w=770&resize=770%2C769 Just like when Russia went to war with Finland and ended up capturing Vyborg. Now, Russia pumps Oil & Gas to Europe and the Baltic Nations via Vyborg Fields. Now I understand that Putin is not stupid or crazy after all.. |
1. Egypt / Tunisia / Morocco / Algeria 2. Nigeria 3. Ethiopia / Tanzania 4. South Africa/ Zimbabwe 5. DRC / Somalia / Kenya |
This might come off as a joke but it's looking more like a surreptitious ad |
Eastern Europe burning... South East Asia getting warm... Sanctions loading... |
Blossomfirst:She stopped posting after this thread. Well, I do hope she's safe out there... |
Martty7:No, I don't live there. I do visit from time to time for work purpose. You'll need to visit Enugu town a bit more to really enjoy and have a real feel of Enugu, because 9th Mile is one lonely and boring place (you can't even find delicacies like Okpa and Ofe Akwu). |
Guess you work with/for NBC or NB Plc, Ama? |
Igbofam:How does it immediately become plug and play for; 1. Already existing Delivery Trucks, Vans and Cars, Cranes, Comapctors, Heavy Duty Equipemt, etc? 2. CNG/LPG used for Boilers in Factories to generate CO2, Ammonia and Instrument Air (for calibration, cleaning and actuation for automation devices)? 3. Aviation fuel since 99% of existing aircrafts in the EU and the world are powered with ATK/Jet A1/Aviation fuel? 4. Add others... I'm sure you know where I'm driving at. In more than 10 years, fossil fuel will still be a very hot cake as it can only be phased out gradually. And by then, Russia, like most advanced economies, would have keyed into new technologies to help/ease the migration and phasing out plans. And like someone else already mentioned, the cost/viability, availability and durability will determine in the long run. I'm sure they've done their due diligent research and FEED for the project, and hopefully won't end up like electric cars that are yet to challenge gasoline cars. |
7Randall:70mph is way too high and very unsafe to drive in such condition. Anything above 30mph should be a no no in such a dangerous and a near zero visibility kind of weather. |
No source? I'd rather we focus more on innocent civilians who are paying the highest price for this war/special operation, and what's being done to help their situation and meet their needs. A military official KIA will simply be replaced with the most senior and experienced personnel who's next in line... Russia is recorded to have 900,000 active personnel and about 1 million reserve. Both parties need to expedite action in having an agreement via dialogue / negotiations, because Russian economy is going downhill while infrastructure in Ukraine is in rubble. Also, while US is making sales via weapons to Ukraine and NATO allies, China will be providing equipment, soft loans and buying cheap oil; these two seem like the parties benefiting most from this conflict.. |
@ Christian07 Nice ride. I'm looking for a good automechanic for my GS350. It goes off on load (probably injector or nozzles) and vibrates when speed gets to 60km/h. A good place to check and fix alignment will also be appreciated. |
Fashola should be smart enough to know/understand that you either build new infrastructure or maintain existing ones; one way or the other, you still spend good money on infrastructure. Does he now mean that the existing infrastructure in the US are not being maintained? The US currently carries out maintenance of infrastructure ranging from Roads, Rail, Health Care, Education, Military, Aerospace, Telecoms, Police, Electricity/Power Supply, etc. No matter the perspective or aspect Fashola tries to view it from, Nigeria has not done better than the US in terms of infrastructure in the past 6 to 7 years (the amount we are using to build new ones is not even close to what they are using to maintain the existing ones they have). Nuclear Power Plants for Electricity, Nuclear Powered Submarines, Aircraft Carriers and Destroyers, Satellites for Military and Telecoms, Rail infrastructure cutting across the entire US, etc. I even heard the US now deploys SAMs Defence Systems in all Airports and specific sites after 9/11. How much does Fashola think it will cost the US for maintenance of these infrastructure? You just do not and should not compare building or maintaining infrastructure between our meagre 6 - 8 Trillion NAIRA budget (partly funded via loans) to US 4 - 6 Trillion DOLLAR budget. it's a no brainer! |
