PoliticsHow Much Will U Pay As Minimum Wage If Elected Anambra Governor by mokwechineme(op): 2:37pm On Jul 16, 2024
Those jostling to replace Soludo as the governor in Anambra are of course in the same shoes with him - Elitist's sadists. They always want to see gatherings of poor people who will always beg for more like Oliver Twist in order to survive. They would want all the citizenry of the state kowtowing before them and licking the earth they walked on.

One of the biggest issues in the country today is the minimum wage. I ve expected the Ifeanyi Ubas, the Tony Nwoyes and other vying for the seat to include that discussion in their bid to dethrone the incumbent, but no, they'll rather lose the bid than talking about that so Soludo wouldn't be influenced to favour Anambra civil servants. As far as impoverishment of the poor is concerned. Anambra elites and politicians are first in that regard.

May be Soludo should continue.
PoliticsSouth West Is The Worst Hit Of Fulani Herdsmen by mokwechineme(op): 10:52am On Jul 16, 2024
This became worse in 2016/2017. The herdsmen sack villages and for many months the villagers would be frightened to come back to their communities. The inner southwest media are so censored to report these incidents.
The herder menace is worse in Southwest than Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Southern Kaduna, etcetera. The locals in these aforementioned states fight back that's why one hears the News. But in Yoruba land, the locals are discouraged, almost prohibited from fighting back by their elites that they can only resort to abandoning their villages and fled for their lives. It's sad that even in Tinubu led federal government, the Fulani menace in the Southwest still persists.

Sunday Igboho still calling out Fulanis in the Southwest is not been irresponsible but he is trying to convey the real situation.

Elitist's theory. The truth about the Nigerian educated elists is that they hardly care about the common man. They see the common people as lazy and illiterates who wait for government to do everything for them. Another thing they have in common is their wickedness. If you go to their families, they hardly help immediate or extended family members. They feel everyone should carry his or her cross. So I don't expect anything better from the supposed highly placed African development bank chairman. The poor can die if they can't struggle on their own to survive for all he cares not minding the state things are due to government policies

That's how powerful, demonic, oppressive, wicked the state governors have been in the last two decades. Nigeria is still on her knees because the most important level of government - Local Government are under chains and shackles of the state governors. I hope the Supreme Court judgement for local government to directly receive their funds wouldn't be another pipedreams because buhari the slowpoke signed the so-called order 10 granting State House of Assemblies and State Judiciary autonomy but that never happened. The state governors continued to seize their funds, channelling them to white elephant and pet projects. Even their side chicks get shares in these funds.

Gov Soludo making history

Since the creation of Anambra State from the old Anambra which had Enugu as its capital, Awka has struggled to attain the status of a befitting capital city. At creation, in August 1991, Awka was virtually left with nothing as most of the public institutions – i.e. university, airport, prisons, etc. – had to remain in Enugu, the capital of the old Anambra State and now the capital of Enugu State.

The journey to build Awka has not been easy. Past leaders in the state right from the first military administrator, Commodore Joseph Abulu, and the first civilian governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, all did their best. But it is not easy to build a capital city from the scratch.

Take the new Government House and Lodge Complex for example, which is currently being built by Governor Soludo in the Ekwueme Square axis of Awka. The site of this New Government House and Lodge Complex was almost washed away by gully erosion and had been almost taken over by hoodlums and land grabbers. Today, Governor Soludo is building a befitting Government House and Lodge for Anambra. This new complex would be the greenest and most environmentally friendly government house in Nigeria. (Currently, the existing Government House is on a makeshift site that was used during the construction of the Enugu -Onitsha Expressway in the 70s and the current Government Lodge is in another town –miles away – from the current Government House, Gov Soludo is making history.

Who sold this clown of a president to Nigerians. Of course I do know nobody did but the system through the usual deceit employing the tools of tribalism for the Yorubas and religion for the Hausas and we ended up having the cocaine sniffing clown as president.

I thought something reasonable would result in the meeting with the governors yesterday but no. It's the usual robbery, sharing formula.
Map out hundreds of billions of naira and squander it in broad daylight.
Instead of investing in using the so-called money to buy large quantities of food items and flood the markets at a very subsidized rates, open all available borders for food to come in while practically investing in Agriculture. Of course they won't because APC is a party brought to teach majority of Nigerians lessons if they would ever learn.

As usual they've audio mapped out 155b and shared to the heartless thieves we have as governors to share. Of course we know the money will be well spent in servicing their various side chicks lodged in different expensive Hotels in Nigeria and abroad. Dump some of the Morey in warehouses, underground tanks even in places termites, rats, cockroaches can have easy access to feed on.

Until the Nigerian people of Yoruba and Hausa origins purge themselves of tribalism and religious fanatism, this system of governance will continue recycling itself for eternity, until there is no Nigeria.

The time these protests are needed, no one is ready to initiate them. The only protests these fake actors are interested in is the one that will not solve anything. How can you organize an endsars protests without seeking to end the foundational problem? Then, the only protests that would've made any meaning - restructure the country back to regionalism or total break up of these undesirable marriage or better then, buhari the most stupid leader must go.
Today 90 percent of Nigerians are in dire need. The most basic need of the common man (food) has been tactically hijacked and none of these protests actors are anywhere to be found. The only voice we've heard is that of Ajaero and he is obviously exhausted because even those he is fighting for are not assisting in any way.

Simply leadership failure

dominic17:
Regionalism and parliamentary system of government are not solutions to Nigeria's problem – Emir of Kano Sanusi
LindaikejisblogJun 14, 2024 7:38 PM

Regionalism and parliamentary system of government are not solutions to Nigeria
Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has said that regionalism and parliamentary system of government are not solutions to Nigeria's problem.

Sanusi who said this in an interview with Vanguard, questioned the necessity of a bicameral legislature and the rationale behind appointing ministers from every state, even when not required. He noted that it contributes to bureaucratic inefficiencies and does not necessarily serve the best interests of the nation.

He also criticized the federal government's interference in state matters, particularly regarding traditional and chieftaincy affairs. Emir Sanusi also stressed the importance of upholding constitutional principles and maintaining a clear separation of powers to ensure accountable governance.

The monarch who noted that regionalism will exacerbate the issues in the country rather than resolve existing tensions, also called for a more cohesive national identity and governance structure that promotes unity and accountability.

He said;

“I think there are several things we can do to address those structures because at the end of the day if you allow the state governors to run, the thing with devolution is we have 36 states, if only half of the governors are good, at least half of Nigeria has a good government. There is too much power at the centre, too much of the resources. The centre does not do primary education or primary healthcare, and that is where the vast majority of Nigerians are. Shouldn’t those resources come to the state? Instead of everybody going to Abuja, what is happening in Abuja? There are several issues that we need to look at. And also simple constitutionalism and federalism, just even the respect of separation of separation of power. If you take the example of what is happening in Kano today, chieftaincy matter is 100 per cent a state matter.

“We had a parliamentary system in the First Republic. What happened? At the end of the day, it is the humans that operate the system. People talk about regions. Initially, the regions we had in this country were North, East, and West, and then it became NorthEast and MidWest. Where did the creation called six geo-political zones come from historically? We can keep dividing and subdividing this country and thinking of ourselves, but are we really honest? Are these regions?

“If you go to the Niger Delta, since when did the Itsekiri stop fighting wars against the Ijaw? Since when did we become homogeneous?

“It was the Sokoto Jihad that brought us together. From the Sokoto caliphate, we became Northerners, from Northerners, we became Nigerians. When I was in King’s College, I grew up under Yakubu Gowon in a country where Nigerians were thinking like Nigerians. What happened? Political leadership is the one that exploits regional and ethnic identities as part of the struggle for political office.

“When they get there, they all sit together. If you look at the president’s cabinet, what do you have? You have everybody from every state. You have Christians, you have Muslims, you have Northerners and Southerners. Why are they not fighting one another in there? The elites are irresponsible.

“Don’t think that pandering to these elites by saying the solution is going to a regional system of government. How do we go regional? In Yorubaland, there are Ijebu, Ekiti, Ijesha, Owo, and Egba since when did they become one? Right there between Ife and Modakeke, they were killing each other. It is not about that. It is not a solution. How many parts are you going to slice this country to get a homogenous country? How? With all the intermarriages and education, I am not sure that is a solution, and I think people have this dream that can only be sold by blocking out history.

“We had a regional system in the First Republic. How did it end? We had a parliamentary system in the First Republic. How did it end? I am not talking about the coup; I am talking about the crisis that led to the coup. Before Nzeogu, forget Ironsi. How was the system before they came? Is there any documentary evidence that that system was fundamentally better than what we have?

“We can’t shift responsibilities away from human beings, the people who are responsible for operating the system. If you go to the Senate and the House of Representatives, and you are there for 16 years and you have never passed a bill, you don’t even know that your job is to be a lawmaker.”

Sadly, a Fulani will never support regionalism. Even Sanusi will weep up theories, reasons and sentiments.

In your four year's first tenure, keep endlessly promising them good things without implementation while suffocating and making things harder for them.
When they cry out too much, lessen the burden a bit and they will start having and building hope in you, then gradually tighten the belt again but this time, tighten it harder than it's ever been. Then loosing as usual when the cries become too much.
Don't bother about your second tenure because that is already guaranteed. The major stakeholders - the cabals, drug barons, business tycoons, religious leaders, elites will tacitly support and sway their followership in your favour because you are working for them.

Here is one of Soludo’s strategies to turn Awka into a major tech hub in Africa

A few weeks ago, the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) approved the construction of the Solution Innovation District (SID) at its permanent site and work has since commenced with the construction of an Innovation Block.
https://www.thecable.ng/here-is-one-of-soludos-strategies-to-turn-awka-into-a-major-tech-hub-in-africa/amp/

The Innovation Block is a mixed-use building with a 3842sqm of floor area. The proposed Innovation Block comprises of high-tech facilities and spaces for Enterprise Data Centres, Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronic, Robotic and Virtual Reality laboratories.

The Solution Innovation District, which would house the Innovation Block, shall have state-of-the-art sewage treatment systems, well-planned green areas, water treatment facilities and other well-designed facilities. The idea is to make this facility a place where people would love to work in.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s plan is to aggregate tech talents in Anambra with this facility.

The Innovation Block shall also comprise of other facilities required to create an environment for innovation, productivity and collaboration: An environment where software engineers and techies can play, relax and enjoy while they develop their codes and algorithms.
To achieve such environment, the following facilities were included in the Innovation Block: gyms, co-working areas, creativity halls, gaming rooms, restaurants, auditoriums, libraries, offices, conference rooms, shopping malls, napping rooms, etc.
The facility tries to create the kind of work environment that is obtainable in Google’s headquarters at Silicon Valley in the South San Francisco Bay Area of California.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision is to create the Silicon Valley of Africa in Awka. The Solution Innovation District, which is expected to be completed within the next two years, would be the catalyst to attract other tech businesses into Awka.

Last January, Governor Soludo led a delegation which met with the US Consul-General, William Stevens, and key figures from leading US high-tech companies in Lagos. The proposed Innovation Block would provide co-working facilities for global and local tech companies in Anambra State.

Anambra is already preparing the ground for its innovation district to go full blast. In the last two years, the Solution Innovation District, at its temporary site, has trained over 20,000 youths in digital skills, including coding and software development. With the completion of the construction of the proposed Innovation Block at the permanent site of the Solution Innovation District, Anambra would become a major tech hub in Nigeria, and in Africa.
The Innovation Block is designed and built to leverage the resources of leading scientists and tech gurus in order to make Awka a preferred tech hub. It will provide an ecosystem that links tech companies to tech talents in Awka. It will also provide a forum where young techies can commercialize new products and technologies.

Governor Soludo plans to make Awka a fintech start-up capital in Africa. The vision is to put Awka in the league of cities like Lagos, Nairobi and Cape Town – i.e. cities that attract most of the tech funds from investment companies in Africa. (African start-ups secured over $1.4 billion funding in 2023).

Anambra – and Nigeria at large – has a demographic advantage with its young population. Governor Soludo plans to harness these talents and grow wealth in Anambra State. Young people in the area of hardware, software development and data science have a glorious future in Anambra.

This innovation district shall also provide co-working spaces for young people. It will provide access to incubators and accelerators for our young people. The opportunities for networking would be huge in Anambra in the coming years.
Anambra plans to attract the best and the brightest to Awka with the Solution Innovation District. The GDP of the state is expected to grow significantly with the coming of these tech talents.

In the coming years and with this innovation district operating at full capacity, Anambra would be one of the biggest producers of tech talents in Nigeria. The future is bright for techies in Anambra and in Nigeria. As residents or indigenes of Anambra, it is in our best interest to support Governor Soludo as he puts Awka in the map.

Potential Impact on Beef Prices
Implementing large-scale ranching could significantly increase the cost of beef due to the high expenses associated with establishing and maintaining ranches. These would make Nigerian cows too expensive for purchase as cows from Niger and other neighboring countries practicing open grazing will be cheaper in the open market. You are nothing but a cow dong. Your messiah buhari has gone and this is the time to put you barbarians in your right place. The Hausas are your biggest victims because your cattle business remains a tool for subjugation and you ve used it to subjugate them for years. You destroy their farms and kill them in their numbers and cover and prevent these atrocities against the Hausas from making the news print. You barbarians are immigrants who should go back to where you came from. You ve destroyed this country far too long.

Suggested Practical Solutions
Designated Grazing Areas: Allocate specific areas for grazing to prevent clashes while allowing pastoralists to continue traditional herding methods.
Conflict Resolution Mechanisms: Establish local committees to mediate disputes between farmers and herders, promoting peaceful coexistence.
Cooperative Farming: Encourage farmers and herders to form cooperatives, sharing resources and knowledge to improve productivity and harmony.
Community-Based Animal Health Services: Provide mobile veterinary services to support herders, reducing the need for long migrations and potential conflicts.
These solutions aim to be cost-effective and fair to both cattle herders and farmers, ensuring sustainable practices and reducing conflicts.
