ANSMEDIA: Gov Soludo is gradually transforming Anambra forth major city, he is currently Constructing flyover, and park also dualizing the road to Awka the state capital
The useless Soludo has been laying these nonsense for the past two years and without any tangible result. That man Soludo is really sick. Anambra has not had it this bad since 2003
Atleast things are better when PDP held sway. They brought in professionals that know the job.
This APC guys are bunch of clueless demented morons who through the instrument of tribalism are in control of the central government. They thrive in lies and propaganda and things are obviously never getting better even in the nearest future.
The ball is in Nigerians' court to make that stride. Even PDP in their professionalism cannot reverse the damage these APC guys have done to the Nigerian politics and economy.
Nigerians need to rise beyond ethnic differences because the leadership are one. All the ethnic dramas during campaign and election are all drama to continue raping this blessed country to the benefit of themselves and families. Tinubu no send or know you for been Yoruba. If Nigerians are sleeping for aliens to do the struggle for them so they will now enjoy, they should think again. We all should be part of the struggle to institute a better Nigeria for all. The leadership struggle for what they enjoy today. It's time we join that struggle...
triplechoice: Paying 250k to civil servants and just a few in the private sector wont cause the prices of goods and services to hit the roof top. This is not the first time the country is reviewing minimum wage. If it didn't cause prices to hit roof top in the past why should it now?
It's only when about 80 percent or more of the population receives that amount being proposed ,you can expect inflation. The people receiving minimum wage in the both the public and private sector in Nigeria is less than 5 percent of the population in Nigeria. This is what you need to consider before considering any talk of too much money entering the system after wages are reviewed upwards.
We're already experiencing inflation which has drastically reduced the purchasing power of most people. If minimum wage is not reviewed to create balance in the system, the Nigerian economy may finally crumble . Manufacturers are already complaining of recording very low sales and the reason is because there's not enough money in the hands of people to buy them.
Another thing is that the current value of the naira is not like before. So any increase in wages should take into consideration the current exchange rate of the naira to the dollar.
When Buhari approved 30k minimum 5 years ago,it was equivalent to $83 . Now, 100k or less which some persons are suggesting as reasonable increase ,currently exchange for about $66 .
So based on this, what do you think should be a reasonable upward review of minimum wage?
You are striving so much explaining to idiots with zero understanding common statistics but what can one do.
Cmanforall: Are you willing to buy a loaf of bread for 7000?
Your stupidity is sickening.. That's the propaganda you are paid to continually fabricate. When workers are paid living wage then there will be hypa inflation.
Continue receiving 30k to play devil's advocate Ewu nwulu anwu.
Yampotatocarrot: I don't really understand... What percentage of Nigerians are civil servants? I believe a rather minute percentage, not taking away the fact most of them are redundant workers, e.g those that work in water corporation in states that don't have government water
So this NLC noise is just for that small percentage, whereas the effect of the increase, such as attendant inflation will affect everyone, especially those that didn't benefit from the increase
you should pray to be employed than this bad belle that gets you to no where
Angelfrost: Sigh... Just give them 80K per month offer abeg.
It makes no sense that workers can't feed or transport themselves every month on the salaries you pay them.
Maybe a little more transparency would set everything right.
Show the labor leaders the current state of the nation's finances and economy...!
There is no way you can't reach a compromise once you lay all the cards on the table.
If Labor believes and insists you can do better, that's probably because you are hiding facts from them.
Why hide income facts from them?!!
Without total honesty and all round changes in governance, this nation is going nowhere!!!
as if you are not in Nigeria where lawmakers with fleet of cars are bought more in hundreds of billions every four years. Do you know how much the renovation of vice president's residence is costing the nation and so on. Nigeria has the money to pay above the NLC proposed wage only they want to perpetually control the masses through the weapon of hunger.
tellsblinks: At this Point It's only the NLC that's concerned About Nigerians Welfare
A part of me actually thought they would accept bribe and succumb to any money FG proposes.
But they are really with us on this.
Thank you NLC ❤
I'm telling you. NLC are becoming the real heroes in this terribly critical time. I just hope they will be tenacious enough to see to the end of this sadism against the Nigerian populace.
Chinjo2: In case most of you don't understand the need for NLC and TUC to stand their grounds, 54k is just N100 per meal for a family of 6 (Father, mother and 4 children for 30 days).
N100 X 3 = N300 N300 X 6 = N1,800 N1,800 X 30 days = 54k
In most parts of the country, you can't even get a plate of food for N500 talk less of N100.
This is just for feeding. What about house rent, Electricity bills, fueling, school fees, hospitals bills etc.
Hope this regime is favouring the BATarials?
It's so so sad what the leadership is doing to Nigerians.
from when he was central bank governor that's whn i knw how idiotic the idiot is!
northerners under him where busy putting their people to work at cbn right under hi nose, you go meet soludo for employment he will tell you that central bank only employs first class. then self, it is easier to see the president than to see soludo.
when we brought first class igbo sons and daughters he now inform them that CBN is not recruiting they should wait till recruitment starts.
till he finished his tenure in CBN, SOLUDO DID NOT EMPLOY ONE SINGLE IGBO SON OR DAUGHTER INTO CBN!
PLS IF YOU THINK AM LIEING, LET ANY IGBO SON AND DAUGHTER EMPLOYED BY SOLUDO WHN HE WAS IN CBN COME OUT AND IDENTIFY HIMSELF.
SOLUDO IS THE BEST PROVE THAT EDUCATION DOESN'T TEACH YOU WISDOM.
the idiot is a full scale idiota!
that man is simply a sadist. No wonder Anambrarians rejected him thrice until Obiano repackaged the fake professor and deceived ndi Anambra but his sadism is already surfacing and resurfacing. He is showing Anambra workers and Anambrarians shege.
A terrible time other state governments are adding money and other incentives for their workers. A state like Ekiti with it's lean financial weight compared to Anambra added 35k to the workers while Soludo removed 12k earlier added when things became more desperate for Anambra workers due to inflation. Is it the touts that litter everywhere and the high taxes he imposed on transporters, traders and ordinary Anambrarians and the list of his maladministration goes on and on amidst more than tripled allocation. All the few projects he is executing are highly substandard with refuse dumps taking many months before evacuation.
They curried videos on net for some terribly gullible Nigerians, because in that same videos you will still see how bare the real place is. They showed one magnificent building with Soludo s picture while they couldn't show outside and the entrance to the fake building and some foolish people believed the building is existing there while the background of the video shows how empty the whole place is just like Soludo himself. I live around there and all we suffer is more gullies because the mindless excavations they kept doing around the vicinity. Soludo has continued to talk foolishly without anything tangible to show for it.
The state allocations have more than tripled and all Soludo is currently doing is starching Anambra money away hoing and preparing APC will make him the first Igbo president
Soludo's Funcity Project Nears completion, As Anambra Gets ready for Tourists
Anambra is expected to become Nigeria's next premier tourist destination, thanks to the ambitious Solution Funcity project spearheaded by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. This groundbreaking development, set to transform the heart of Awka, the state capital, is expected to attract over 5 million tourists from around the world annually.
The Solution Funcity, the brainchild of the Soludo administration, is a comprehensive leisure and entertainment complex that will cater to the diverse needs of visitors.
Awarding Lot 1 contract for the state-of-the-art facility to the young and dynamic Architect Ezenwa Chukwudi, the Executive Director of GSS Construction, is a testament to the governor's unwavering trust and commitment to empowering Anambra's youth and transforming the state into a premier tourist hub. Architect Ezenwa, who is also the Co-founder and Developer of Dubai Estate, Awka, has over time demonstrated exceptional expertise in architectural finesse and development.
"Governor Soludo's vision for Anambra is clear – to transform the state into a thriving hub for tourism, business, and economic growth," said Architect Chukwudi. "The Solution Funcity is a key component of this strategy, as it will provide world-class leisure and entertainment options that will not only attract visitors but also create countless job opportunities for our youth."
The Solution Funcity will boast a wide range of attractions, including a water park, amusement park, family fun center, country club, and a sports park. Located at the Kwata junction, the complex will be easily accessible to residents and visitors alike, ensuring that Ndi Igbo and tourists from across Nigeria and beyond can enjoy the best that Anambra has to offer.
"Governor Soludo understands the importance of providing leisure and recreational options for our people". "For too long, Ndi Igbo have had to travel outside the state, even outside the country, to experience the kind of top-notch leisure facilities that will now be available right here in Anambra, said Chuky Ezenwa"
The Solution Funcity project is a testament to the Soludo administration's commitment to the South-East region's regeneration and the empowerment of Anambra's youth. By entrusting a part of this critical project to a young and talented architect like Ezenwa Chukwudi, the governor has demonstrated his faith in the state's next generation of leaders.
As the construction of the Solution Funcity gains momentum, Anambra is poised to become the new tourism destination of choice in Nigeria, attracting visitors from across the country and beyond. The state's rich cultural heritage, coupled with the world-class leisure and entertainment options offered by the Solution Funcity, are set to redefine the tourism landscape in the region.
Showing videos curried from internet while there is no structure on ground. The place still looks like desert. The few structures there look terribly substandard just like the few roads he managed to contruct. Go and see things for yourself. I ve never seen a brainless, delusional sadist like Soludo. Don't you mind the useless Soludo urchins on net.
chefremy: They are giving less than 50k yet they are putting 91b on the table for hajj, it's just so glaring these people know what to do to really make this better but they won't, they'll rather just patch as usual so they can feed their pockets.
So the cleaners don't feed their families among other needs. Fools like you are the reason Nigeria will never get better
aguluobi: I have a beta alternative, how about they quit the govt job n look to get a higher paying job elsewhere or probably get a degree to boast their earning level. How about that ?!
How foolish you are. I have a degree and I'm a civil servant in Anambra state and I'm paid #47k as monthly salary at level 09
NLC itemized how they arrived at #615k minimum wage and some Nigerians who obviously are jobless and not covered in the expected wage increment are fighting tooth and nails berating the NLC. If you feel what NLC proposed is not realistic, propose and itemize how you arrived at yours.
All the state governments as we all know spend hundreds of billions on white elephant projects and bloated aides unending leaving out main needs of their people. The so-called coastal highway will be gulping 11 trillion naira while there are unrepaired roads that lead to the same destinations. Soludo is planning to constructe a new two laned road to Imo outside an existing one and the project is expected to gulp 100s of billions while leaving important roads that will be directly beneficial to ndi Anambra.
The state governors are just laughing at the Labour Union drama.
Ordinary N30K, the state governors are owning months, even sometimes self, they have to wait for bail out from FG before paying the salaries
Labour should come down from their high horse and be realistic for once
very stupid of you and the state governments have billions they spend unending on white elephant projects and bloated aides.. Go get a job jobless fool
helinues: Gosh, why do we have unserious Labour union in Nigeria nitori olorun.
You guys are disgusting with this unrealistic proposal
you are just a very foolish idiot. They gave the variables that led to their proposal. Come up with yours or die with your envy as a jobless fool you are.
Bestmanfornow: With the approval granted by the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), all is set for the dualization of Amawbia – Agulu – Nanka – Ekwulobia -Uga Road by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. The Amawbia -Agulu – Nanka -Ekwulobia – Uga – Akokwa Road, which is a federal road, connects Awka, the capital of Anambra State, to Imo State. The road, which is currently a single lane road, is in a deplorable condition. The construction of this federal road by Governor Soludo would not only transform the economic landscape of Anambra State and Imo State, it would also help in the social integration between these states. This project is a perfect example of how a focused subnational government could work with a progressive federal government in order to achieve massive progress in a win-win partnership.
Considering the socio-economic importance of this Trunk A road, Anambra State government applied to the federal government in order to intervene in its dualization. Permission was granted after an extensive review of Anambra’s proposal.
The proposed new road – which will be completed in 12 months from the date the contractors mobilize to site – is anticipated to reduce the travel time between Owerri and Awka by over 70%.
The construction of this new road is part of Governor Soludo’s urban regeneration plan, which comprises the development of clean and green cities, dualization of major roads and the connection of major cities with railway systems in Anambra. (The design of Anambra’s railway network is almost completed). With this Amawbia – Agulu – Nanka – Ekwulobia -Uga Road, Governor Soludo is set to match the record set by the former governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Umahi. David Umahi broke an unprecedented record in the South East when he celebrated the construction of over 500km of brand-new roads within 3 years in 2018. (This anticipated 500km high quality brand-new roads by the Soludo-led administration are exclusive of the thousands of kilometers of roads which have been made motorable as a result of repair works by the Anambra Road Maintenance Agency).
This project, which will be a legacy project for the people of Anambra and Imo State, has elicited excitement from the people of Anambra State. The vice president of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene, remarked that the interconnectivity that would be provided by this road ‘‘would boost socioeconomic activities in the South East region and enhance collaboration in other areas, including efficient and effective security network to secure the zone’’.
The scale of this project clearly shows that it is not what a faint-hearted and unfocused government could execute. But Governor Soludo, with his can-do spirit, is determined to place Anambra on the map! Currently, this dilapidated single carriageway, which would be dualized by Governor Soludo, has very ineffective drainage systems and is prone to overflooding at some sections. This makes travelling on this road a nightmare in the peak of the rainy seasons. The total stretch of the road to be dualized is 34km (which is equivalent to 68km single lane roadway). Because of the strategic importance of this road, the Governor Soludo-led administration has decided to start constructing the first 30km of the proposed dual carriage roadway (equivalent to 60km of a single road) using innovative financing models while the federal government will construct the remaining 4km section (equivalent to 8km single lane roadway). With this road, the economy of major cities – Agulu, Nanka, Ekwulobia, Uga and Akokwa – transversed by this road will be given a new life. Let us take the transformation that this road would bring to Agulu – the beautiful hometown of former Governor Peter Obi – for example. This new road would connect Nnewi one of the major manufacturing hub of the South East – via a proposed 18km dual carriage roadway at Agulu. A massive interchange would be constructed at the point the proposed superhighway leading to Imo State connects the anticipated dual carriageway leading to Nnewi at Agulu. With this network of roads, the Agulu Lake Hotel and the historic Agulu Lake would be accessible to people from Imo State in less than 25 mins. (Governor Soludo plans to revive Agulu lake in the coming months).
Currently, the Soludo – led administration is about completing a massive prestressed concrete flyover at Ekwulobia. This flyover will be part of the 34km Amawbia – Agulu – Nanka – Ekwulobia -Uga -Akokwa Road. The Ekwulobia flyover will be ready by the end of the year. In order to ensure that this project is completed in 12 months from the time it is commenced, Anambra State Government awarded the contract for the construction of this new road to two major contractors – Geld Construction Limited and A.G. Vision Construction. The Amawbia – Agulu – Nanka – Ekwulobia -Uga Road would be made as ‘green’ as possible. There would be vegetations in the median of this dualized road. This will not only enhance the road’s aesthetic appeal, it will improve air quality along its corridor. Because this is a major dualization project, it could result in the relocation of some structures that might have encroached into the road’s right of way. But this would be done with a human face. Adequate notice has been given to people who might have encroached into the road’s right of way. Everyone believes that this road is good for the future of the state. In the coming months, other major dualization projects would also be kicked off. Anambra is on the path to greatness. It is the duty of well-meaning Ndi Anambra to support this transformation. Our children’s children would be grateful for the foundation being laid in Anambra today! Nwankwo is the special adviser on special projects to Soludo https://www.thecable.ng/soludo-commences-the-construction-of-a-superhighway-linking-imo-and-anambra/amp/
And he is fighting governors who wants to pay more than 30k minimum wage, agbero and filth littering everywhere. Constructing one road every six months that even Willie the failure constructed tens of roads in same time frame. Soludo the sadist has woefully failed and ndi Anambra have already taken note. Stop your lies, propaganda, falsehood because Soludo is already a goner. Check the dranages of the roads he constructed and see the very poor job executed althrough...
According to the story, Soludo was grumbling and shouting at them saying they are the reason NLC continues to flex their muscles. He further said 30k should be adopted
Bestmanfornow: In effort by Anambra state governor Prof Charles Soludo in making Onitsha a prosperous home land and conducive for business, governor Soludo has started modernization of Marine Onitsha, to build Morden jetty, park and beautification of the river site
Exousiang01: The N615k living wage proposed by the NLC simply showes they are all just a bunch of illiterates who want economic change but don't understand how economy works.
Unfortunately OP is one of the empty headed folks.
If not chronic illiteracy why would OP keep talking about government as if government owns the private sectors and pays their salaries?
The country is drowning in inflation and you think this is the next best thing.
OP is even saying we have the money.
He thinks its money the money is just N615k.
Illiteracy is killing this country.
Let me break it down a little.
The general managers of a company is getting a pay of 500k Now you have inccreased the salary of the cleaner and security guard to 615k, will the GMs salary remain at N500k? The increament will now be by percentage, now the company has to look at the percentage increase from the securitys old 40k to the new 615k that same percentage will be applied to GM.
Now op and his fellows are not retarded, how will someone who has saved or taken a loan of 5m to start a business pay even the cleaner N615k because 615k for just 2 months has taken 1.3m out of the loan of 5m.....
Una see say all of una stupid?
No government, union, group, citizens that mean well for their country will suggest this wickedness.
You want a better economy, but you want to destroy SMEs and render many jobless...
Conpanies will simply layoff alot of people, and increase the price of the goods and services, at the end of the day you will have more jobless people on the streets and more expensive goods in the market.
Is government going to pay my childrens driver, is the government gonna pay, my farm hands, security? I am talking about the lowest, If i am spending N5m on salaries right now do you think my goods and services will remain at the same price the same price after spending N50m on salaries.
Una go buy purewater 1k, when the pure water company spends N3.1 million on just 5 drivers as against the N500k it was spending previously.
Mumu adults thinking life is a fairy tale
you just stated complete jargon of what you know completely nothing about. It's either you are very brainless or you are one of the sadistic government agents who wants to perpetually impoverish the people.
What is the primary cause of inflation - cost of production and lack of government regulations. If you like bring down the 30k minimum wage to 1k while things remain the way it is in Nigeria where exchange rate remains the way it is, multiple taxations where Nigerian government at different levels introducie new taxes, removal of fuel subsidy without alternatives to cheaper fuels, inflation will continue to bite harder.
HopeUzodinma: If Nigeria senators can be the highest paid in the world for doing absolutely nothing, Nigeria workers can’t be the lowest paid in the world. It’s all wrong and no same person should support that. Minimum wage of 600k can’t cause any inflation in Nigeria. By the time you add all the salaries of the senators and house of rep members plus their allowances plus the monies they steal for doing nothing, it doesn’t even equal the amount workers will receive when the minimum wage becomes 600k.. Even with the 18k minimum wage is there no inflation??
forget the foolish paid Judas. People are paid #15-30k here in Nigeria and there's hyperinflation. What he doesn't understand is that there are bigger population of people than the workers in markets in Nigeria that earn from their trade more than 2m every month.
How on earth would someone ever feel Tinubu is better than buhari. Buhari was in government when the world economy went into recession twice, including the ebola pandemic with it's rippling effect on the price of crude the only foreign exchange earner for the country. Tinubu on the other hand came in when there is total stability in the world economy and crude selling at a very reasonable rate...
Many Nigerians for different reasons known to them are laughing off the NLC proposal. Some of these people are some gullible-brainwashed Nigerians who always believe the lies and propaganda churned out by the APCs administration. The others are those who are simply envious of the workers been considered for the proposed minimum wage that they can't bear or phathom a situation where Nigerian workers would be getting a living wage
Can Nigeria pay the proposed amount? Obviously, Nigeria can pay double the amount. The amount of money stolen by a single politician can pay the proposed amount of an entire state. The amount EFCC discloses these politicians steal is tip of the iceberg to what they are actually stealing...
All these thieving politicians have fake farms where they build underground warehouses where they park and hide raw cash in local and foreign currencies. Not just the politicians but also ranking officers of law enforcement agencies - the police, the military etc. These monies are purposely hidden away simply to prevent them from getting to Nigerians that desperately need them...
For me, restructure the country back to regionalism or outright break-up. The politicians have hidden under this one Nigeria to become gods and untouchables no one can touch.
If we have an independent Igbo nation, I know no leadership can take the citizenry for granted this long and so do independent Yoruba nation, even though the leadership in West have their ways in controlling their people.
