Oga Fash! and how are you going to protect the water ways.

Or are you going to wait for it to become infested with Armed Robbers and Terrorist and Pirates before you start thinking of security?

Always the Nigerian mentality ... bolting the stable doors after the animals have escaped

What stops you from having a comprehensive security operation now, people living along the water are already facing security challenges.

I tire for this country o!

You just come out an make small cheap talk and expect everyone to start hailing you smh
Nairaland GeneralHow Safe Are Lagos Water Ways by molujagun(op): 5:21pm On Mar 29, 2013
Gov fashola, is always the first to jump up and shout about good governance, but as the CEO of Lagos State how well is he protecting the water ways considering that it is the Super Rich that are also mostly impacted

Moderators!!!
Why isn't this on the front page.
This clearly epitomizes the Nigerian culture, all the young people simply want to make money without working for it.
if it was something on WizzKid or Tonto Dike we would have 100s of comments
DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PoliticsRe: Protesters Shut-down Governor’s Office In Abeokuta by molujagun: 12:38pm On Mar 08, 2013
Most contributors on Nairaland are really shallow and mostly uneducated

SELFWORTH and a few others have been the only ones that have said anything sensible here.

How can you expect the people to obey Laws that is constantly changing?

How difficult is it for all State Governments to publish the Master Plans of their states showing what is Govt Land or industrial land etc?

It is a shame that these activities of the Government are not purely about development, rather it is all about the grabbing of the universal resources of the state, taking what they can for them selves and selling the rest for money.

Even Eko Atlantic City can not be said to be purely for the benefit of Lagos State. The best choice in the reclaimed land will be allocated to Fasola, Tinunbu and their cronies

You need to get close to these people and you will see the STENCH in Governance in Nigeria.

put it this way, it is just like the allocation of Oil Blocks (ALLOCATION A RESOURCES THAT BELONGS TO THE COMMONWEALTH TO JUST A FEW PEOPLE - ONLY IN NIGERI/AFRICA)
PropertiesRe: Lagos To Ban ‘omo Onile’ by molujagun: 5:42pm On Mar 07, 2013
The problem of omo-onile is real and needs to be resolved so we can have rapid and equal development in the state (and the country at large)

But it seems that there is no political will.

The present laws are more than adequate to deal with this problem.

What needs to change are our institutions i.e. The Executive and The Judiciary.

Simple things like:
1. Making the GIS plans available on-line
2. Making the land register database and ordinance survey available on line
3. A fair, Just and Equitable Judiciary

I actually saw the a private organisation build a website to accommodate point #2 called www.landsearchng.com
PropertiesRe: Omonile Lawyer's Rant Regarding The Demolition Of Houses In Epe by molujagun: 5:30pm On Mar 07, 2013
The lawyer is very correct.
These information should all be public.
Governor Fashola cannot say he is doing a good job when after 6 years of being the CEO of lagos state, ordinary citizens cannot access the state's master plan.
This is just plainly shameful. He sits in his Ivory Tower at Alausa and says rubbish on good governance - good governance my foot.
This is simply hardship of the common man and he knows it (afterall he is not a silver spoon himself having grown up in Masha area of surulere)
There is time to make ammends Fash, if you do not know, i will tell you:
1. Set up a compensation board so that you can investigate each case and come to a decision on its merits. For every "Bona Fide Purchaser for Value without Notice of the irregularity - then you must compensate them
2. Task Hakeem Muri-Okunola to get on his skates publish the entire Lagos State master plan on the internet
If you want any help let me know.
