Its not found amongst d binis.i know esan people do it,and some other part of edo state,like the usen people, binis dont do it.a bini woman is buried in her husband's house.

That's hw dey told my sister to get an M.sc, that getting a job would be easier.she did and its almost 3yrs after, still no job.now she is being adviced to go for her phd.all na wash. Its jst God we look up to.

As much as u tried not to sound like you are generalizing,it still sounds like you are. I am actually hurt that people see the benins like this,i have never seen or thought my people to be like this. its usually the esans that have this mindset about d benins, its reciprocal. Well, the benins are not troublesome, they are peace loving people. Their women are wonderful, i am very pleased to be a benin woman. I can't speak much for benin men though.Y'all should try and get to know the benins more.

i haven't noticed the part where d men die an the women inherit thier properties,maybe its d area.bt i hv heard that there are more land ladies.i am benin and proud to be too, and i think i have an opinion why there are more land ladies.most edo men like to run away from their responsibilities, especially when it comes to taking care of their children, benin women (atleast in d part where i come from), struggle to take care of their children and when these kids grow up n become successful, its only natural that they take care of their mothers more. In actual fact, d men are not dead, just that the children focus more on their mothers and make them land ladies.i just hope my write up isn't confusing.

u don't know the quantity of flour used, but u know the butter isn't enough.how cool. I wrote out my recipe long before you made this comment.

benedictac: the 2 secrets of cakes are
1. ur eggs, flour and butter must be the same measurement. (measure ur eggs on a scale with the shell I.e 1kg flour, 1kg butter and 1kg eggs with the shell. As for the sugar, as u desire.)

2. make sure u cream ur butter and sugar until very fluffy. (I.e until it pours life made custard that is mixed with milk. it should be watery).

let me add that ur baking powder also matters. use 15ml level (the 15ml is in the measurement pack sold in any baking shop)for 500g of flour. don't use carton butter it can never give u good taste as buckets.
