Breadmaker: All these people saying small world sha, has any of you ever seen something that's bigger than this world?
Unah dey confuse Me walahi.
A conductor ran away with my N80 around 3pm on 14 may 2010. I searched for him for two days and couldn't find him.
I still search him anytime I go Lagos and I am yet to see him.
This is Lagos alone and people tell me it's a small.
People spend their entire life searching for their missing rib, the women are also busy searching for the owner of the rib they carry.
Many of them die without meeting each other and yet it is a small world.
Abeg make unah swerve biko.
Even those that say life is short dey confuse me too, what else is longer than life? This is good comedy. Would have loved for u to also analyse d lenght of life. Got me rotflmao |

CaptainPhilip: Does divorce make both parties happier than they were in the marriage? So when I leave her you guys think I will be happier?
It's pathetic but I feel I can scale through it God helping me. It might look stupid to everyone out there. I really don't think this is the kind home you want your daughter to grow in. Most times, things like this cause more harm than good, my mom stayed with a cheating husband because of her "children", and it greatly affected I and my siblings. I am in my mid twenties now, and I am still trying to get over the effects of my home, God is helping me, although my brother wasn't as lucky. He got hit real bad, I wldnt want to go into details. And even my mom, who stayed back for her children has almost become a shadow of herself. I advice that you leave, try to get custody of your chilld, and give her the Godly upbringing and stable home she requires for her growth. May God lead and help you on the way to go. |

Romance › Re: If She Ask For Huge Amount, Put Her Through This Test by monalicious(f): 6:13pm On Mar 27, 2016 |
bloodyBLOGGER: The mentality of naija girls now is that a guy must become their meal ticket. Once they finally say yes to his toastings, they start dumping responsibilities in tune of huge amounts on the guy's head even when they know he's not capable of sorting such.
When you find yourself in that kind of situation, put her through this test:
Let's say she wants you to buy a Samsung phone worth 50k for her. When she comes to your place uttering such demand, tell her you will give her the money right away but on one condition- she has to call her father on phone and place it on loud speaker in your presence.
Tell her to tell her father that she wants him to buy her a phone. Listen to the man's reaction. If the old man is not in tune with the latest gadgets going on in today's world, he might agree to get her one.
If the man agrees to buy her a phone thinking it's a Nokia 3310 she wants, tell her to tell him the price which is 50k. The man's reaction will most definitely startle you to laughter . He will definitely get angry at such demand and make his point clear that he can't afford to spend on such frivolity except he's dangote. He might even tell her to remember the humble background she's from.
What's the point of the test?
Why should she dump that kind of responsibility on a struggling guy like you, a responsibility that a mature and salary earner his afraid of bagging?
You will be stupid to foot such bill if you do not have huge savings in an account. Don't you even have a mother, a sister or a relative to lavish on? These are the people who will always remember you for such gesture, not some silly girl who thinks 50k grows on trees. That 50k might be bigger than the amount her father collects as pension from the government. Yet, she wants you to spend it on a phone that will run out of trend when the new model drops. With the rate of unemployment in the country, graduates are willing to kill to get a job that pays 30k. Yet, some undergraduate is spending way more than that just to impress a girl who is probably already eyeing another guy.
Try to apply wisdom in ever thing you do. Stop accepting responsibilities their fathers can't shoulder. The worst is that their demands are silly material things of no real value. Accepting such stupidity is one of the reasons why some guys never make it in life.
I know some female readers on this thread might be like... "lamentations of a broke dude".
Guess what? Your father is also a broke dude if you can't call him on phone to tell him to buy you a phone worth 50k.
Pick up the phone and call your father now

some people on this thread who couldn't stomach the point have resorted to saying such a guy should go meet his mother for sex when he is Hot. I wonder why a sane person would suggest that.
When a guy needs sex, he can get it from his girlfriend. This doesn't give her the right to lay unnecessary heavy bills on him. Remember, he is also giving her sex. Well, except she is a prostitute, she doesn't have any right to use sex as a means to an end. Bro, u r so on point. I need to follow u |

MotorConnectz: It not a scam. I stay in the UAE, I did the same to get my job. But I applied here and followed it up here. But since you are in Nigeria thats's how jobs in the GCC(Gulf Cooperation Council) reply if you apply from another country. You applied through dubizzle in Nigeria that's why. Go ahead bro. The 1000 aed is a deposit for your working visa which costs around 4000aed. The balance will be deducted monthly from your salary when you start the job because it's the company that will do for you with their money. Dubizzle is a very safe site. It's scam free. It's virtually almost impossible to be scammed on dubizzle. Go for it. If there's a phone number try to call them first and confirm because they are meant to give you an invoice for your payment. The refund will be given on presenting the invoice.

When the proverb said "elders", or "kings" it didn't mean "grown-ups" or the male folk. Those lecturers are obviously not elders, they are just an older version of the cultists. It takes a whole lot to be a king.#myopinion |

omoyemirally: ask google It's so sad that you see nothing wrong in this person's inability to write out one complete correct sentence, and you even think it doesn't make him an unqualified graduate. The last time I checked, general studies is a course taken in all Nigerian universities, and it's compulsory, use of English ia part of it. No one is interested in if he had a bad school background or whatever, he is a product of his personal decisions. You should probably look this up https://www.nairaland.com/2930551/woman-everyone-should-met#42872113 |

ukjerry: I really don't think it's this guy's fault though. I agree with what omoyemirally said- Just because he doesn't know how to express himself in English doesn't make him less educated.
My cousin bro can't speak but is an engineer (a very good one). Companies are looking for him but he's stuck with his company cos in his words "they gave him a chance". When asked how he scaled through the interview, he said twas a disaster but he just asked them to give him a chance and allow him do something and just cut off his first month salary. They did and it's history. They ended up paying him. (Let me not even start with his salary)
He always say, "comprehensive pry and sec sch fvcked me up, but Unn didn't teach me how to speak but how to fix" I can never bring myself to agree with this mentality. I know someone who is a mechanic, never had any formal education, who speaks so well, you would never know he doesn't even have to pry 6 school leaving certificate. And he reads and writes well too. It's just a personal decision thing, that's what I think. We have had stars in th past like pasuma (fans please pardon me), who didn't speak so well at the beginning of their careers, who are doing very well now. I know some people would say English isn't our mother tongue, which is true, but it has been in Nigeria for as long as I can remember, and we keep excuses for why we can't speak or write good English. Why not just avoid the embarrassment? |

Do u knw what education is? Education is what u learn from womb to tomb. So,as far as u exist,u will continue learning. At age 3, she had poliomyelitis on one leg as she woke up one morning and couldn't walk anymore. She never had formal education, she however learnt how to write her name and signed her business cheques. She learnt how to sew with her bad leg, and became a seamstress, with a workforce of no less than 20 at its peak. In addition to her tailoring business, she also sold cement on retail basis. She was popular in Benin, in her youth. When her contract to supply food items to Uselu Psychiatric Hospital was terminated, th great woman left Benin to Lagos to protest to the then minister- late Prof. Olokoye Ransome Kuti, without even knowing him; she sought to see him and succeeded, and her contract was immediately restored. She was a distributor to okpella cement, Nigeria Breweries, Nigeria Bottling Company, Guiness and Bendel Breweries in her "disabled" state. Had 8 children, and raised some of her nieces and nephews, who are all doing very well in their various professions; when some people who found themselves in similar conditions, would have taken her children to the road side to beg for alms. She was an amputee at some point in her life, but she was a disciplinarian. She never allowed her outward disability cripple her on the inside. She loved and cared for all that came her way. She was a great woman, a role model to mothers. One of the greatest to have ever walked this earth. We call her our angel, that's why she needed no legs to walk, because angels don't walk, they fly. She was my aunty, but she was more than a mother to me. Words fail me to describe her appropriately. I love you iye and I miss you dearly. Continue to rest in peace.
