Christianity EtcRe: My Brother Wants To End His Marriage Because Of A Prophecy by monalicious(f): 11:15am On Nov 05, 2017
shortgun:
Prophets, pastors, Church leaders I will need your help on this one.

My elder brother has been married to his wife about 14yrs now, the marriage is blessed with 3 boys.
His wife is not the kind of woman a lot of men will pray for but no one is perfect. My bro tells me things about his marriage that he won't even disclose to our parents, I am very close to him and he always seeks my opinion.

His wife is a devoted Christian... she attends almost all d church programs and never misses Church service every sunday.

They had a program in d Church and she invited the husband. My brother went to the program and the Pastor called him out and told him that God wants to bless him financially more than he will ever imagine but there is a voice crying to God not to bless him.

The pastor called the wife out and told her that she is the d one telling God not to bless her husband cos she thinks a lot of money in his hands will make him to misbehave and d wife said yes.

The pastor now asked my brother to promise that if God bless him with this huge amount of money will you promise not to misbehave and he said yes... the pastor now asked his wife to reverse the prayer she has been praying against her husband right there inside the Church so that God can bless him and she did.

Since that day my brother became restless, he couldn't believe that the woman under his roof is d one praying against his progress. He told me that he wants to divorce her so that he can be free from her negative prayers.

I don't really know what to tell him.
It's obvious that his wife's prayers are very important and vital in his life and for his progress. I think he should just forgive her and continue with the marriage, it's her level of understanding that made her pray such wicked prayers, and now she knows better.i personally don't think things would get better for him if he breaks up the marriage, so long as there's no form of abuse involved, let him just stay.

Its easier said than done. You could try writing an episode of anything of your choice and see how it is. If you check the time of most of my replies its either late at night or earlier hours of the morning and that's because that's the time I'm free. Thany you for reading and being patient with the updates.
It's not a matter of me writing an episode of anything, im not a writer, I wasn't blessed with such gift. You have an audience, don't leave dem hanging, consistency is important.

He dialed his number for the umpteenth time.

"What is wrong with this stupid guy, ehn?" He asked rhetorically as he pressed the redial option furiously like it would have any effect on Chris.

*************************
"Why this mumu dey call me na?" he frowned in irritation at the number that displayed on his phone's screen. He switched off his phone and threw it on a couch just beside the chair he sat on. He knew why Chief Coker called. He has probably found out that he failed. Chris reminisced on all that happened last night.

Honourable Alonzo's house was located on the 6th house on Richard's estate, GRA Lagos state. A young man could be seen engaging in a conversation with one of the securities outside the house.

"I'm John Steve" he introduced himself, dipping his hand into the inner pocket in his suit to erase the questioning look he got from the security. The security collected his I.D card that contained his name, picture and organization he worked. The security seemed not to be convinced as he kept looking at him suspiciously.

"Why does your face look familiar?" the security asked, handing over his ID card to him with his face staring sternly at the man before him. He knew he had met the man before but where was what he couldn't fathom.

My dear Sleyanya1, food don land for you oo
As interesting and captivating this story was to me at the beginning, I totally can't remember the storyline anymore, because of howmuch you have delayed ur updates. I've totally lost interest. I don't know why some Nairaland writers keep doing that. Anyways, the story is/was good. Try and make your updates more regular, if it's 1 episode/day, try to stick with it. Thanks

THESE PEOPLE NEITHER USE DUBIOUS MEANS OR CRAFTY MEANS LIKE OUR BROTHER HERE A.K.A SERIALRAPIST
I understand you perfectly, he should probably have a rethink on that, but he was just trying to get attention. Those people who u have described above, have their methods been effective?, seeing that most people don't even stand to listen or give them attention. That's why I think as Christians, we should be creative. Find a way to draw people's attention then preach the gospel, don't misunderstand me oh, I'm not saying the OP"s method is acceptable, but he is/was just trying to be creative. Just that his creativity is vulgar and questionable, and doesn't go at all in line with what he's preaching. But the message is still true

This is where I disagree with a lot of Christians.

Heaven is not dependent on the church domination where u worship.

Making heaven is all about your personal relationship with Christ.
The ex-priest felt the Catholic Church was restricting his relationship with God which would affect his going to heaven.

I appreciate your submission nextprince. It's just spot on. As a bright student, my brother believes medicine suits him, and especially because medicine is prestigious. However, he is (we all are) being forced to reconsider that, with so many doctors being unable to get job in the country. I don't know what the situation is for pharmacy... I don't know many pharmacists, except that some said pharmacy as a course is a lot tougher than medicine. That challenge is what is now making him consider pharmacy as a good, if not better option. But I'm concerned if he will be able to make a good life as a pharmacist.
MLS is medical laboratory science; i think the guys that carry faeces and urine. But if provides better living for him, why not?
I am a medical laboratory scientist and a proud one at that. Med lab like pharmacy has very good prospects, I think it even has a higher prospect of getting a job, with good pay than pharmacy, but pharmacy has better prospects for self employment. Setting up a medical laboratory would cost a lot, but very lucrative after set up. They are all beautiful courses, but of all of them, physio has d lowest prospects of both working for someone and being self employed

However rather than escalate it to this level, church authorities should have taken him in, verified his story and if found to be true, mobilised funds and sorted him out. With that they could effectively speak the Word of God to him, get him to repent and then provide him some kind of job...it's a shame really.

Body weak me on hearing the directive. How I wan take see a whole 1050 naira for their 'small rubber card.' The soothing news was that the 1k had finally entered. I would have left the money in annoyance if hunger had left too in anger that afternoon.
I went ahead to refill and collect my money.

I could hear some slay queens on the queue discussing my fine boy but broke status.
Chei! Two ladies take me shine because of money. I left the bank with people's staring eyes as my orderly. A part of me wanted to be sad, but on the other hand I was euphoric that 3 days food was sure.
I marched to mama Idowu 'to swallow.'

No doubt, when the bankers need comic relief, they will play back the tape from the CCTV camera. I made up my mind to use their Ekpan branch next time.

THE END

ikechkwuegone:
Good day Nairalanders, I will like to be brief and specific.I am happily married with kids and we based in Eastern part of the country.

I and my wife work and contribute to the well being of the family. Some months ago I started noticing my wife's body language when ever she is on phone with her boss by been blushing like a single girl talking to her boyfriend.

Secondly the same Boss bought her a phone, which I did not take serious, thinking it will make the official communication between them more easier.

I also noticed that my wife always chat with this same boss and hardly leave her phone carelessly which prompt me to check her chat conversation with the same boss. She doesn't leave their chat history on the phone.

Last week I accidentally checked her chat with the man , I was very surprised when I saw Her boss referred to my Wife as "My Baaby" at d beginning of their conversation and some other words like "Dear ao re u".

I confronted my wife, it was very difficult for me to confront her because I don't want the trust between us spoil. When confronted she gave me two answers, that Her calls every female staffs My Baaby, secondly that the message was mistake frm Her boss that it wasn't meant for Her that was why she didn't reply.I believed Her and we move on.

Two days ago I came back frm work and I met my wife lying down on the bed with phone conversation, instantly my wife change what they were discussing.I asked my wife what they were discussing but she stammering.
The same man do tell my wife about his wife inability to conceive the second child for him.

With all these instances I am totally confused and devastated. I love my wife so much , I can't wait for d worst to happen between her and d man, she is making keep suspecting her.

I am a very loyal to her, I bnever cheat on her, she is everything to me, I don't see her wife but a friend and confidential.

Married nairalanders I really need your advice on how to handle this before my happy home will be ruin, Almighty Lord will bless your home as u give me ur candid advice
I don't think u need to wait to get enough proofs, their relationship is obviously making u uncomfortable, tell ur wife u r not okay wt their friendship. Marriage and love is about sacrifice, if she really loves and values you, she should be able to cut off all ties with her boss, keep their relationship strictly professional.
