it means starting a relationship with been a frnd to the person. Moreover, every opposite sex has best frnd( that is, you dont hide anything from the person) that they relate with, he/she knows your date e.t.c. but in essence, instead of marrying another person and leave your bestie to another spouse, both of you can relate and get married.
