time without number, i kept writing and calling for the scrap of this God forsaking service, called NYSC. its no longer worth it. every day by day, riot by riot, conflict by conflict, youth corpers are the specimen they used in test running their project, "project kill them all". i want to know where Jonathan sons and daughters serves as a corper or Buhari sons and daughters or Tinubu sons and daughters in this NATION. this is not for our good but for the interest of the few to defraud our nation the same way they always do. i know the blood of these innocent citizens will cry out soonest. 1993 bloodshed puts an end to the military rule in Nigeria, i Pray this one in 2011 will put an end to electoral rigging in nigeria. mark my word.

It is with utmost sadness of my heart to read what you wrote as an article or Press Release asking that Buhari should be arrested out of circulation in Nigeria. I understand your concern about the annihilation going on in the Northern part of Nigeria, and I concur it must be stopped. However, it is uncharacteristic of leaders of any shade or shape or format to release a statement of guilt on a person when no law court had found him guilty. It is also a contraption of facts available to all that somebody could be called a sponsor of the riots going on in Nigeria when we all know the source and reason for it. Please, as representatives of the faith of Christ in our society, we should guide our hearts with all diligence in reasoning to ensure we do not conflagate the already tensed situation into a total tribal war. I cannot remember when you came out to ask the goverment to arrest all the Niger/Delta war lords that pummelled our nations resources for years unending (many of whom you know and protect. many of whom pay tithes of gun-running profits to you) , but now that your political affiliated party of corrupt entities are about to be challenged in courts of public opinion and the law courts, it is now pertinent in your "divinely inspired wisdom" to ask for the head of a man who you hate with passion. The lives of those killed in Warri and co are not precious to you because it is a battle of prominence and relevance that you believe in. I have always said it and preached it, that until we destroy the corruption in our churches, our society will remain corrupt. I am so disappointed in your fanning of the embers of national disunity on the sentimental Press Release. I still love you because I am commanded by my Lord. God is not deceived.

Politics / Onyeka Onwenu False Prophesy by money4cash(m): 2:56pm On Mar 27, 2011
ONYEKA ONWENU, A WOMAN I RESPECTED SO MUCH, BUT THIS TRACK WILL BE A SONG YOU WILL FOREVER REGRET THROUGH OUT YOUR MUSIC CAREER COME APRIL.
Onyeka Onwenu, described by Nigerian entertainment press as 'the elegant stallion,' has been humbled beyond words by the overwhelming acceptance her ‘Run, Goodluck Run’; song has received from music loving Nigerians. She recorded and released the song just to encourage President Goodluck Jonathan who had then kept the nation guessing as to whether or not he would throw his hat into the 2011 presidential election ring.
"Whoa! That's all I can say about the public reaction to a simple song I recorded, titled Run, Goodluck Run, to encourage President Goodluck Jonathan to run for another term in office," she says "Till today, I still receive very positive reactions from a broad spectrum of Nigerians, through text messages, phone calls and face to face comments. Chief Ebenezer Babatope, God bless him, accused me of turning the Jonathan campaign into a "mass movement" with the song. Another person reacted that "I am speechless, God is awesome. Thank God for your life." Surprisingly, she said she is reluctant to claim glory for the song, as according to her, she is not the author. "But how can I take credit for a song I did not write," she asked. "When I got the inspiration to write this song, I went down on my knees to ask for help. I had just released a 13 track CD, The Legend, as well as the theme song for Nigeria@50 - Celebrate, Jubilate and Consolidate. I felt I didn't have any more songs left in me, at the time. But the One who brought the inspiration brought the song. I remember praying with the producer, Wole Oni, and asking God to send an anointed song as proof that He was behind Jonathan's project. If you have heard Run, Goodluck Run, you will agree with me that the song is indeed anointed. But in the midst of the kind words from top Nigerians and the show of solidarity from the masses at the Eagles' Square for a song well written and sung, Onyeka is bearing a burden. She has been under pressure from colleagues, friends and relations who want a share of whatever amount she was paid by The Presidency for the song.
"When Mr. President, at the presentation of the Inspiration for Change CD, which contained the song, Run, Goodluck Run, expressed his sympathy for me, saying that he was sure very few people would believe that I had done the work free of charge, I wondered how bad could it be. It turned out that Mr. President knew what he was talking about. The pressure has been unrelenting. The rumour was thick that I was paid N50million, some said N100million, to record the song and video. Friends and relations who hadn't spoken to me for years, suddenly found my number again. Some needed school fees for their wards; others had urgent medical bills, some, yet, wanted me to remember them in my hour of plenty. My immediate family members were not spared either. Wherever my brother went, he was made to buy drinks for all present. We took it all in our stride and coped with great deal of laughter and words like, 'I receive it in Jesus name.' Amen."
But the truth is that "If I had been paid to write the songs, I would have sounded paid. I doubt that they would have carried the same conviction, passion and anointing that is so palpable and which the public responded to. I have had to duplicate copies of the Inspiration for Change CD, which I distribute free of charge, everywhere I go. The demand has been enormous and I am still trying to cope. But I do so gladly. I am flattered; I am honoured to be a vessel for the conveyance of such moving piece of music. I am grateful to God, to be so used. I have been richly rewarded by the One who sees all."
But in spite of the impact of the songs, she almost missed out from the musical jamboree of the declaration. "You may be surprised to learn that I almost did not make it to the Eagle's Square on the day of the declaration. The organisers somehow forgot to extend an invitation to me. It took the intervention of someone in the Presidency, who having weighed the impact of the songs in the days leading up to the declaration, insisted that I be included in the programme. And so I was included at the last minute. No provision was made for me by the organisers, and I paid my way. But I am glad that at the end of the day, Run, Goodluck Run spoke for itself."
The theme song for Nigeria she said was challenging. It was challenging, "Because I did not want to sound like a hypocrite, especially as not a few Nigerians believed that there was not much to celebrate in our 50years of Independence. Yet, in my heart I felt that we indeed had a lot to cheer about. God reminded me that our continued unity, the many blessings in natural and human resources He had bestowed on the country were enough reasons to celebrate. The theme song therefore became a thanksgiving song.
"After the performance of this song at the Variety Night on September 30, an elderly man, about 70 years old, felt obliged to thank me for making it an all inclusive affair. I felt elated. I had indeed achieved what I had set out to do. Unfortunately, the Nigeria@50 Subcommittee on Publicity and Public Awareness relegated the song to the background and never did support it fully. They simply did nothing with it. I paid for its duplication and distribution to radio stations around the country as well was raising its awareness. Even though the committee eventually paid for the studio cost of recording the song, I had to start the work with my own funds and it took them a very long time to reimburse me.
Politics / Buhari, Ribadu, & Shekarau Pull Out Of Jonathan Tv's Debates by money4cash(m): 4:39pm On Mar 24, 2011

Buhari, Ribadu and Shekarau
By SaharaReporters, New York
Three presidential candidates have pulled out of a televised debate scheduled for March 29 2011 according to a press statement signed by spokespersons of the campaign organizations of Shekarau for Nigeria, Buhari Campaign Organization and Ribadu Presidential Campaign Team.

See press statement below:

Our Position On President Jonathan’s Refusal To Participate In The Presidential Debate Organised By Nn24

We the spokespersons of the Presidential Candidate of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP); the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) wish to clear the air on the matter of the presidential debate organised by NN24 so that our teeming supporters and Nigerians in general will understand and appreciate our position.
We had held series of clear-the-air meetings under the auspices of the organisers at which logical and other arrangements for the debate were exhaustively discussed.

The representative of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Dr. Doyin Okupe, was in attendance and actively participated in all deliberations.

It was at Dr. Okupe’s instance that the two dates earlier proffered by the organisers; March 8th and 15th as contained in the memorandum of understanding signed by the three candidates were rejected because according to him, those dates were not convenient for his candidate. Dr. Okupe, on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan, suggested the March 18th date in which the debate was successfully held.

All of us accepted this date not because it was convenient for our Principals, but as our sacrifice to afford Nigerian voters an opportunity to assess and judge the candidates’ programmes as well as personality under the spotlight.

For emphasis, we had to adjust our respective campaign time tables at great logistics costs to us as our sacrifices for the growth of the culture of debate as an essential ingredient of the open society.

We indeed bent backwards for the office of the President even when we are fully aware that the occupant is no more than a co-contestant in the context at it were.

But the there is a limit to which we can subject ourselves to this sheer impunity of the ruling party which they have flunked on our faces as a people in the last 12 years. The PDP has a record of shunning every Presidential debate since 1999.

We are highly suspicious of the celebrated romance with the BON debate by the president Jonathan’s camp which shunned the NN24 debate without an apology. We can only hazard that since most of the agencies organizing the BON debate are government parastatals, the organizers may not be in a position to resist the request for advance questions being given to the debates in which the NN24 agreed with us because they were independent. This does not mean that the men and women running these agencies lack integrity but the awe some power of the presidency may be too much for them.

Our principals being men of dignity with high regard for the people of Nigeria will not be part of such orchestrated charade of a D'Banj's “kokolete” debate.

Like millions of other Nigerians, we consider this behaviour of the president as egotistical, condescending and unbecoming of a man seeking a mandate to govern Nigeria. Leadership entails humility and respect for others.

A situation where the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation deliberately set out to humiliate other Presidential Candidates by reneging on an agreement it proposed is unacceptable to us and the millions of our supporters.

Consequently, we state without ambiguity that our principals will not honour any debate session with president Goodluck Jonathan in the 2011 elections as he has arrogantly shunned the credible debate for which we made ourselves available.

Future presidents of Nigeria will have to be more careful in dealing with the feelings of others.

Every country has its 'lost generation'.Some were stolen away by war, some by economic downturns, and some by visionless governments. Nigeria is perhaps the only one stolen by too much power, money, leisure and privilege. When Britain's colonial administrators lowered the Union Jack in Lagos on October 1, 1960, Nigeria was Africa's great hope. Its pool of talent, mass of fertile land and newly discovered oil promised economic transformation and a role leading independent Africa onto the global stage. PDP 12 YEARS OF SLAVERY IS LEADING US BACK TO THE ERA OF DEPENDENCY. WE DEPENDS IN GOVERNTMENT VIRTUALLY IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR LIVE YET, NOTHING SEEMS COMING OUT. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! PDP MUST FALL THIS TIME AROUND. VOTE CPC! VOTE CREDIBILITY!! VOTE TRUE CHANGE!!!
