Fast rising Nollywood actress "Khadijah Adeola Ayoade" won the award for the "Best Movie Actress Of The Year" at the just concluded "Fresh Award 2019" which was held in "Ibadan" yesterday "11th of August 2019".

Khadijah has produced a lot of interesting movie that shows how talented she is... The likes of "Inu Fufu, Ookun, Say It and so on".

She also produced "You Are Me" alongside talented "Bukunmi Oluwashina", which will be out on your screen very soon.

Khadijah is also working on a solo project which will be announced soon.

Expect more for "Khadijah Adeola Ayoade" as she's ready to shake the Industry with a lot of projects coming up.

This is a shocking video from an incident that happened this morning in the popular BRT bus in Lagos.

To beat the traffic and influx of early morning passengers fighting to reach their various place of hustle, a pregnant woman almost lost her baby while standing in the bus.

She was on her way to Fadeyi from Mile 12 when the sad incident happened.

The 5% proposed VAT on all online purchases via bank cards seems to have ignited the "wrath" of Nigerians as they took to Twitter to share their opinion.

FIRS chairman Babatunde Fowler in an interview with Premium Times, said that the tax agency is working on ways to get a cut from the digital economy in the country.

“We will address the issue of the digitalised economy very soon. Nigeria has not taken a position yet. But, we are meeting to see if we can come up with a global solution that we can all adapt to,” he had said.4

The 5% proposed VAT means that the FIRS will charge N500 for every N10,000 transaction made with a bank card.

Africa Is Still Enslaved - Tayo Faniran Speaks After Being Assaulted By South African Police (Video)

Tayo Faniran got emotional, as he talked about his ordeal in the hands of the South African Police officers that assaulted him, as seen in a viral video yesterday.

Thanking everyone that stood up for him, the former Big Brother Africa housemate stated that Africa is still enslaved as what he went through is an issue that affects every African.

According to Tayo, he was handcuffed even though he was not a criminal and beaten continously even at the police station he was taken to.

He however disclosed that he is not angry and also not interested in pressing charges. The reality show star concluded by saying "this is not the Africa we should have".

I think the "Light Skinned Girls" are jealous of the Brown Skinned Girls after listening to "Brown Skin Girl" from Beyonce's newly released Album "The Gift". Lol

Photos of a mentally challenged woman who recently gave birth to twins have been shared on social media.

According to reports, the woman gave birth to the babies in a bush in Malumfashin Local Government Area of Katsina State. No one knows who the father of the children are.

R Kelly has been arrested in Chicago on Thursday night

According to CNN, R Kelly was arrested while walking his dog and has been charged with sex trafficking in New York.

His arrest comes after a 13-count indictment in the Northern District of Illinois that includes child pornography and obstruction of justice charges. For over 20 years, R Kelly has faced accusations of abuse, manipulations and inappropriate encounters with girls and young women.

In February, he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four alleged victims, with three of them being underage girls. Kelly had pleaded not guilty.

In late May, a grand jury had indicted him on 11 more charges pertaining to one of the four accusers, including aggravated criminal sexual assault, a Class X felony; and criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony and according to Illinois law, a person convicted of Class X felonies can get up to 30 years in prison.

Until Thursday, R Kelly was free on a $1 million bond set in February. The New York Police Department, Homeland Security Investigation and other federal partners assisted in the arrest.

R Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, confirmed that the singer was arrested but declined further comments.

The Supreme Court on Monday fixed July 5 to deliver its judgment in the dispute arising from the September 2018 governorship election in Osun State.

The Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the said election, Ademola Adeleke, had filed four separate appeals before the apex court to challenge the Abuja Division Court of Appeal’s decision affirming the All Progressives Congress and its Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola as the winner of the poll.

A seven-man panel of the apex court led by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, has heard one of the appeals on Monday.

The decision in the particular appeal filed by Adeleke is to be binding on two other appeals, while the fourth appeal will be heard and a judgment delivered on it separately.

The warning according to reports has come from boys who have affiliation with recently released singer, Naira Marley.

The warning to Ruggedman has been issued due to the alleged effort of the veteran rapper’s effort in getting Naira Marley arrested by the EFCC.

They are really angry with Ruggedy baba and want him to pay for the allegations levelled against him.

It must be a difficult time for Ruggedman who just yesterday narrowly escaped being brutalized in London after a group of boys attacked him at a cool spot on Peckham street as a result of the Naira Marley issue.

A staff of Karish college, Kawaji, Kano state, Femi Oguntumi, has allegedly committed suicide.

According to reports, Oguntumi who resides in Dakata quarters, was found dangling from his ceiling fan in his room on Friday June 14th at about 9pm.

The police were alerted after neighbors forced their way into his room and found his body dangling. He however did not leave any suicidal note.

Femi’s corpse was deposited at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital morgue.

Confirming the incident, the state police command says a secret investigation into why the deceased might have committed suicide has been launched.

An unscheduled visit to an Abuja market by a Nigerian scientist has unearthed some shocking discoveries.

According to the Nigerian scientist who visited markets in the Utako and Garki area in Abuja on Wednesday June 12th with members of the Nigerian Food Sciences and Technology Institute.

"From traders mixing vegetable oil with transformer oil to fry Akara, to some traders using Sniper to keep flies away from dried fish" she wrote.

She added: No wonder we now have NIGERIAN YOUTHS & KIDS suffering Organ failure & Cancer "Yesterday, scientists under the umbrella of the Nigerian Food Sciences and Technology Institute went to inspect markets in Abuja (Utako and Garki Markets).

The things we discovered are heartbreaking:People who fry akara, puff-puff, yam, meat, fish, etc., use transformer oil mixed with vegetables or groundnut oil to fry the stuff.

Ariel detergent is used to ferment cassava for fufu, fish sellers spray sniper on dry fish to keep flies out.

In our abattoir, tyres and used plastics are used to roast slaughtered animals which are sold in the market. Please avoid food cooked outside your home if you can.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, would be willing to sacrifice Mohamed Salah, if it meant landing Lille forward, Nicolas Pepe, according to le10sport.

Pepe has been subject of one bid from Liverpool already, but the Ligue 1 outfit do not deem it enough.

It is believed that Lille have received two other offers for the Ivorian forward.

However, Klopp wants the player and due to an increasingly complicated relationship with Salah, would be willing to see the Egyptian sold if it allows the Reds to land Pepe.

Both men reportedly clashed last season, while Liverpool was trying to win both the Premier League and Champions League.

The Reds eventually won the latter, defeating Tottenham 2-0 in the final.

A one storey building has collapsed at Shangisha area of Magodo, Lagos.

According to reports, the building was under construction when it caved in on Thursday with three people trapped in the debris.

The building collapsed at Kayode Aluko Olokun Close, Shangisha, Magodo.

The building was said to have collapsed around 3.00pm as the workers were working on the structure.

Officials of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, and others were on ground to rescue trapped victims, saying 'the three people trapped in the collapsed building had been rescued and taken to the hospital'.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is set to start a clampdown on the fraudulent use of Point Of Sale, POS Machines in the country.

This was disclosed by the Makurdi Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Johnson Babalola, in an interactive session with Regional Bank Managers at the EFCC Zonal office in Makurdi, Benue State on Thursday.

Speaking on behalf of the acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, he charged banks to ensure proper monitoring and strict compliance by those to whom they issue POS machines.

“We are having serious challenges with the banks giving POS machines to individuals with questionable characters and without proper documentation,” he said.Babalola pointed out that there was a need for some of the POS machines to be withdrawn from such individuals.

He also warned banks to adhere strictly to the Post-No-Debit (temporary freezing of account) order placed on banks found to be involved in suspicious transactions. “Default will not be tolerated,” he said.

He noted that it was unfortunate that some staff of banks were in the habit of giving prior notice to customers whose accounts were being placed on Post-No-Debit, thus “aiding and abetting crime and obstruction of justice, instead of assisting the Commission as stipulated by law”.

Babalola further urged the banks to “respond on time to the letters of investigations sent to them by the Commission”, stressing that prompt response will help in speedy dispensation of cases.

“You need to always report any suspicious transactions as required by law,” he added.
